About

Please note that Al Roker will not perform on Saturday 2pm Matinees or Sunday 7pm Evenings, or on Saturday November 23 8pm evening. He will perform in both shows (2pm & 7pm) on Sunday November 24.

Meet Jenna, a waitress and expert pie-maker who dreams of a way out of her small town and rocky marriage. Pouring her heart into her pies, she crafts desserts that mirror her topsy-turvy life such as "The Key (Lime) to Happiness Pie" and "Betrayed By My Eggs Pie." When a baking contest in a nearby county - and a satisfying encounter with someone new - shows Jenna a chance at a fresh start, she must find the courage to seize it. Change is on the menu, as long as Jenna can write her own perfectly personal recipe for happiness.

Brought to life by a groundbreaking, all-female creative team, this Tony Award-nominated hit features original music and lyrics by 6-time Grammy nominee Sara Bareilles ("Love Song," "Brave"), a book by acclaimed screenwriter Jessie Nelson (I Am Sam) and direction by Tony Award winner Diane Paulus (Pippin, Finding Neverland).

"Waitress is a little slice of heaven!" says Entertainment Weekly, and is "sweet, sassy and passionate," according to New York Magazine. Don't miss this uplifting and hilarious musical.

Waitress was more than I expected!

by FingerLakes1 on 5/3/16Brooks Atkinson Theatre - New York

Although I was looking forward to this play, I read a few reviews and I was afraid that I would be disappointed in Waitress. Trust me....it was sooo good! During the first act, my friends and I laughed so hard we were crying! This play contained all the elements of a most entertaining story. It was full of heart..... sassy, funny, smart and thoughtful....all at the same time.

    The Waitress was fabulous!

by Jazzmm on 5/3/16Brooks Atkinson Theatre - New York

Jesse Mueller knocked it out of the park, as did the entire cast. The set was beautiful, and fun. The actors sang their way through complex roles, juggling emotion, action and lyrics impressively. Casting was perfect - from lead to comedic support roles. Sara Bareilles's songs made this a very special production. And the cast delivered the songs so well that we enjoyed hearing them do them as much as we love hearing Sara sing them herself (which is an experience not to be missed).

    Waitress was Piefect!

by theatregeek88 on 5/3/16Brooks Atkinson Theatre - New York

The play was hilarious from start to finish. Great performance and the little touches behind the scene (little pies for sale, pie flavored drinks, etc.) added the perfect touch for any audience member.
