Meet Jenna, a waitress and expert pie-maker who dreams of a way out of her small town and rocky marriage. Pouring her heart into her pies, she crafts desserts that mirror her topsy-turvy life such as "The Key (Lime) to Happiness Pie" and "Betrayed By My Eggs Pie." When a baking contest in a nearby county - and a satisfying encounter with someone new - shows Jenna a chance at a fresh start, she must find the courage to seize it. Change is on the menu, as long as Jenna can write her own perfectly personal recipe for happiness.
Brought to life by a groundbreaking, all-female creative team, this Tony Award-nominated hit features original music and lyrics by 6-time Grammy nominee Sara Bareilles ("Love Song," "Brave"), a book by acclaimed screenwriter Jessie Nelson (I Am Sam) and direction by Tony Award winner Diane Paulus (Pippin, Finding Neverland).
"Waitress is a little slice of heaven!" says Entertainment Weekly, and is "sweet, sassy and passionate," according to New York Magazine. Don't miss this uplifting and hilarious musical.
I love everything about this show it is absolutely amazing
I bought tickets to this show mainly to see Dawn (Colleen Ballinger) and I was surprised as to how much I love the show!! This show was AMAZING! All of the cast was outstanding and I fell in love with the show and I love it now. It’s definitely worth seeing. We were in the mezzanine (row F) and the seats were still nice!!
Great night out with my teenage daughter. Music was amazing. Message was empowering. Todrick was entertaining.
I took my daughters to see this (14 and 12 years old) and had medium expectations. It was very weel done! Great music, very funny and very touching at the same time. They kept true to the movie and I was in tears at the end. There are a few scenes that are a little racier than in the movie that were a little inappropriate for my daughters but nothing too bad. I recommend!
Although my seat was in the top corner of the theater, it was fully enjoyable (with the help of opera-glasses). The quality of the sound was excellent, and the cast was phenomenal, including Todrick, Colleen, and of course, Alison. I will see it again. It is a truly entertaining musical and should not close so soon.
Incredible production. Loved every second. I laughed and cried and sang my heart out. Amazing from beginning to end. The talent was outstanding. GO SEE THIS SHOW!!
Amazing show!!! Love the music and all the actors were spectacular!!! It was funny and very much enjoyable!!
We were hesitant about going to this- my 12 year old wanted to see Colleen Ballinger. We’d heard mixed things about whether it was suitable for kids. In the end, she won out and I’m glad we went. There is a lot of swearing and a couple of things that I would say were inappropriate, but overall it was an amazing show. The lead has the most amazing voice and everyone in the cast was great. Would recommend!
This wasnt my first time seeing waitress. Ive seen many of the cast changes, and the different interpretations by the actors/singers brought in. This is a good story about finding oneself and overcoming hardships. It makes you feel good. The score is the best part. Bareilles' score cuts right to your heart and makes you feel.
Waitress was terrific. It was better than I thought it would be. I would definitely go again.
The staff was wonderful and so accommodating to my friend who was in a wheelchair. The show was amazing, I can't stop listening to the soundtrack even though it cannot compare to experience of seeing it love. The cast was phenomenal!
The waitress is the best broadway show that I’ve seen in a while. It was funny and emotional at the same time.
Great performance and enjoyed this show. Cast was remarkable.
Took my 16 year old son. He LOVED it! The talent is amazing!!!! But I'm glad I didn't take him any younger. Lots of heavy topics. Also, women beware -- one bathroom in theatre.
Cast received a four minute standing ovation, enough said.
I’m a waitress it made me laugh, cry a little and laugh some more! My daughter wanted to see it for the you tubers Colleen that she follows! So glad I let her talk me in to it! Had a great day in NY city!
Such a great show! Emotional. Funny. The whole cast was wonderful! And oh boy, Jenna could sing! Gave me goose bumps!
A must see! Colleen and Toddrick were great additions to an amazing cast. Highly recommend :-)
Missed it the last time they came to our area so we bought tickets while we were in New York, 10/10 would see it again!
It was a great show. I totally would see it again.
