About

Luke Combs is a country artist from Asheville, North Carolina. The singer-songwriter released his debut album, This One’s for You, in 2017. His sophomore studio set, What You See Is What You Get, followed in 2019, becoming his first LP to top the Billboard 200. That same year, Combs was nominated for Best New Artist at the Grammy Awards — his first of seven nominations to date. Combs’ third and fourth albums, Growin’ Up (2022) and Gettin’ Old (2023), were recorded simultaneously and serve as companion projects. For the latter, Combs included a cover of Tracy Chapman’s “Fast Car.” His countrified take on the 1988 hit single became a bonafide crossover success for the star, peaking at No. 2 on the Billboard Hot 100 and bringing about a duet with the folk singer at the 2024 Grammy Awards. In 2024, Combs will embark on his Growin’ Up and Gettin’ Old Tour in support of the dual albums.

    Take it from me

by Lisa on 5/3/24Beaver Stadium - University Park

I enjoyed the concert. The sound quality was fantastic. We saw two of the openers, Mitchell Tenpenny and Jordan Davis. Both of them were great and had a lot of energy. Luke Combs played all of the songs I was waiting for. Our seats were undercover, which was nice since it drizzled most of the show.

I’m a Penn state alum and love all that is Penn state but they poorly organized parking and security was sparse to say the least. Luke combs put on a great show despite the venue

    Talent amazing!! Parking Horrible

by Stoofey on 5/3/24Beaver Stadium - University Park

I would probably not go to another concert at Beaver Stadium Penn State Campus. It took hours to park and leave after the concert. Luke was awesome!

    Good show

by Kristy on 5/3/24Beaver Stadium - University Park

I enjoyed the concert. All the artist did a good job, I was a little disappointed that Luke only did one encore song!! I know it is his big hit and I did enjoy it, but he had everybody fired up and then left. He could of saved another song from the setlist for after it. I also wasn't the biggest fan of the venue (beaver stadium). I know it's outside, but I had some trouble hearing what he was saying in between songs. They also didn't have any ushers to help find your seats. They did have enough merchandise stands that you didn't have to wait all night to get a souvenir.

    Disappointed

by Wish on 5/2/24Beaver Stadium - University Park

Arrived during the 6pm hour...traffic was heavy...there weren't signs directing you to the Lot numbers for parking. Parking rates were too expensive. It was a mad house trying to get to your seat. No easy access and I had a handicapped teen. Our 7 seats were extremely poor...way off to the very side end of the stage and could not see much at all. The seats were not noted as being an obstructed view. This was to be a very special event for my son who is very ill. Disappointed that he could he barley see Luke. Not everyone likes to party...a family section would be nice.

A little more and a lot less

by Tuck-Finn on 5/2/24Beaver Stadium - University Park

I wish there had been more interaction with Luke and the crowd. Could've had some screens up closer to the top for those fans. The parking at PSU was absolutely REDICULOUS!!! $100 to park after spending $300+ for tickets. We don't pay that much to tailgate there for the football games! I don't expect I'll be going to another concert there.
