    Great concert

by DLX on 4/7/22TPC San Antonio - San Antonio

The music venues themselves were excellent! General admission seating/standing was great. The only complaint we had was that the public restrooms were way in the back and there was no way you could get out because there were so many people on the lawn. It would’ve been great if they put some porta potty’s inside where people were sitting/standing to view the concert, instead of 150 yards in the back of venue.

    Amazing experience!

by J on 4/6/22TPC San Antonio - San Antonio

Everything worked out great! The shuttle to and from UTSA was convenient and easy. The event itself was an amazing experience. It was very well organized. First time ever attending a PGA professional event was beyond any expectations. My son and I were able to see warmups on the putting green and driving range. We followed whatever groups we wanted to follow. He was able to get some autographs and some pictures with some of the players. It was definitely an afternoon that we will never forget. Lots of walking, but well worth it.

Excellent views and a comfortable space to watch the match! We had a bar nearby and air conditioned restrooms

From the food, to golf, to the concerts and receptions, everything was amazing. It’s a vacation for charity event…

    Improvement on seated areas needed

by bodom on 4/5/22TPC San Antonio - San Antonio

First, the course was beautiful. My husband and I love going to tournaments. The volunteers were so helpful and friendly. The disappointment was the fact that I paid extra money for seats that were not there. I purchased seats in “The U” and my tickets had a row and seat number on them. When we arrived in the area the rows and seats were not designated so we were left standing. Very disappointed! We both have back issues and was not happy in the fact that we were left standing or sitting on the ground. I would suggest stating that fact upfront so that people will not pay extra money for something that does not exist.

    Great Family Day

by Charlie on 4/5/22TPC San Antonio - San Antonio

We enjoyed our first PGA Tour event. We didn't know what to expect so we were pleasantly surprised at how well organized everything was. We were able to see our favorite golfers up close, it was Great. We sat in a reserved area called the "Cabana". The venue was nice and spacious but as the day went on it got pretty crowded. I felt like there were a few too many people that were sold tickets for an exclusive area. Once all arrived it didn't feel very exclusive, the only thing exclusive at that time was the price of the ticket paid to be there. Overall, a nice experience but a little disappointed that my money didn't buy more. BTW they were $455 per person. Thanks

The parking & walking a BIG thumbs down

by Emily on 4/5/22TPC San Antonio - San Antonio

First of all I love JA & DR, but really love love JA!  For starters the parking could have been explained better.  Waiting in a long line to park only to be told we had to go back to two different locations to park and be shuttled in was annoying/frustrating.  Mind you we arrived early, and the time it took to do all that we finally made it to the entrance of the venue by 7:10pm.   My understanding was the concert started at 7pm and there was an opening band, then DR and last JA.  Well to my surprise DR was already playing.  Now the walk from the entrance to the actual concern area was....well it was just stupid to have walked all that way & only hear DR from a distance. So disappointed.  Performers were great (they didn't disappoint) but IMO the sound could have been better in that venue. Again, I love JA and would not have missed it but there is a lot of room for improvement as a concert venue.

    No seats

by Kat on 4/5/22TPC San Antonio - San Antonio

The open was good but only if you could actually see it. We felt mislead that the section and seats on our tickets were fictitious and we were left unable to see or sit down. We finally found people who leaving and gave us there seats and it was good for us after that but I felt bad for all those who were like we had been.

golfing was great but concert area set up -I didnt care for

by tdaye on 4/5/22TPC San Antonio - San Antonio

I did not like the concert area set up at all- particularly the sound stage the had a screen that blocked the entire stage. If I had wanted to watch the concert on a tv screen, I would have stayed home. Put the screens on the side of the stage, not blocking the entire performance. Thanks!

    Very disappointing

by Jim on 4/5/22TPC San Antonio - San Antonio

You had only 1 paid $185 ticket and I paid $370……..wouldn’t let us in the U so we turned around and left… I was told I had paid special parking…. Was sent to River City and charged an additional $20…. Will never purchase Valero Gas again!

    Valero Open

by Mike on 4/5/22TPC San Antonio - San Antonio

We had a great time. The 16th Cabana hole was much more fun than the 18th. It was closer and more into the golf. Next year we will just buy the Cabana access but go for two days.

A Great Day of Golf and then a Concert

    Expensive for Golf Purest

by Jack on 4/5/22TPC San Antonio - San Antonio

The price for Saturday’s event was overpriced. There are golf purest out there, who should not have to pay $100 more for a ticket, if they don’t want to attend the concert. Price was jacked up for a concert ticket and not everyone should have to purchase the concert, if they only want golf. My suggestion for next year is to separate the concert from golf and provide a separate or combined ticket (for those wanting to attend both). Complete Rip Off, should have been only $65, just like every other day, if you only wanted golf.

    The venue was great

by Uncle Drew on 4/5/22TPC San Antonio - San Antonio

The only problem i had was, my girlfriend bought tickets for my birthday so she was transferring them to me. The parking passes she was not allowed to transfer to me. So that was money wasted. Other than that me and my friend had a awesome time and will be going again.

Give Me a Choice of Paper Ticket or Digital

by GlennM on 4/5/22TPC San Antonio - San Antonio

My digital ticket experience was not good. I should have a choice of paper tickets or digital tickets, just like a boarding pass on a flight. Either way, it still needs to be scanned, but trying to get the digital ticket and putting it in my wallet, was harder than it should have been. Didn't know you had to change the orientation of your phone (depending on model), just to see "Add to Wallet". Some more instruction would help.

    Texas Open

by Dave on 4/4/22TPC San Antonio - San Antonio

Everything was great except the parking situation. You have to have a parking pass in advance or cannot park anywhere.

100th Anniversary of the Valero Open

by Bming on 4/4/22TPC San Antonio - San Antonio

I attend this event almost annually with my son and this one was probably the best experience. First class tournament with excellent vendors, staff and facilities. Loved to see many top ranked players competing. Most of all I enjoyed the moments shared with my son.
