Course was in great shape. Golf was competitive until Sunday. My only criticism as that there are so many private enclosures, the general public does not get to share in the full experience.
Everything was on point, from the shuttle program, drinks, food and restrooms everywhere! Excellent venue!
Great weekend on Saturday and Sunday, everything was great and people were great with us. Looking forward for next year.
While I had a great time once I got to the course, getting there was anther story. I paid 15.00 to park at UTSA, and when I clicked on the link for directions, it sent me to VIP parking where I was turned away and told to find parking. The closet place to park was 4 miles away, where I walked to the course. So the 15.00 I paid was not used. Once I made it to the course, it was a great experience. I will go back next year, but not pay for parking.
I am an avid golf fan and this event did not disappoint. I received multiple communications prior to the event with what to bring, what to leave at home etc. which made getting in and out of the venue as easy as it could be with that many people.
The app was very easy to use for the general admission and parking. Well done!!
It was great fun to walk along with Jordan Spieth, Lucas Glover and Hideki Matsuyama and see them play from up close, as the crowds on Friday were not so large. The Ultra Club was overloaded...difficult to find a seat and lines for food and drinks were at least 20 minute waits...it was faster to walk to a nearby outside concession to get a beer.
We had Thursday GA tickets and Friday Ultra tickets. That was a great way to spend the two days. Walked 27 holes on Thursday then sat for most of Friday.
Good list of players, exciting competition,’well organized . Adequate transportation for fans. Plenty of merchandise available for purchase. Food needs improved, not very good … Do NOT recommend purchasing the ULTRA experience tickets.. Venue was over-sold, no seats Available at 10:30 on Friday morning… what a rip-off!! Over all had a wonderful time..
Way too many golf carts where they designate pedestrians/guests to walk. Felt like we were dodging carts all day long. This was my 3rd and last year in person. I’ll just watch from TV next year.
