    LOVED IT!!!

by Tinker on 10/31/22Veterans Memorial Coliseum - Portland

It was scary to walk around in the dark. No phones, just a glow stick for lighting. Lots of jump scares. At one point the scary clown heard my son's name and kept repeating his name and totally made it more scarier. My son (11years) loved it.

Kids Fest - Good for little kids.

by Dogbert95 on 10/26/22Veterans Memorial Coliseum - Portland

Overall, they did the best that they could. I think it was perfect for little kids... you know, like 6 year olds and younger. Older than that, I think it's a little too "tame" for them. They want to be scared some. Took a bunch of 8-9 year old boys to this, and they were a little "bored". I don't think they could have handled the full scare at night either... so it would have been PERFECT if there was something in between. You know, some jump scares... a little bit more gore in the makeup... have the characters "follow" the group for a bit or pop out to cut them off. My kids and their friends have outgrown this. But that's not on Underhill and the actors... they can only what they can to support the HUGE crowd of younger kids and their parents.

    Not worth the wait

by Disappointed on 10/26/22Veterans Memorial Coliseum - Portland

Waited in line for almost 2 hours only to find worn out actors and no need to ever use the "wands" to make them "go to sleep". I knew it would be mellow, but was hoping for at least a little scare and creepiness.

    Disappointing

by Anna on 10/26/22Veterans Memorial Coliseum - Portland

After a 2 hour wait the attraction was cramped with poor ventilation and the attraction was about 20 mins and very Boring. I’ll never go again.

    No, don’t bother.

by Aj on 10/26/22Veterans Memorial Coliseum - Portland

I’m to angry to go into to much detail. But bottom line it wasn’t worth the hassle. Completely unorganized and seemed just thrown together to make a buck.

Long wait but great set up

by Mel on 10/26/22Veterans Memorial Coliseum - Portland

The wait was an hour and a half… for kids, that’s way too long with nothing to do (especially when you’re a parent with limits on devices… which most parents who take their kids out to things like this are). I would’ve liked some things to do on the way in more than on the way out… I would’ve paid for someone to go down the line offering anything! Animal balloons, stickers, monsters running down the line to start the thrill! -OR- they should make a longer time frame, instead of 12-3 it should be 12-5 or 11-4… or tickets sold with time slots.

Kids loved it. Line was terrible.

by Josh on 10/26/22Veterans Memorial Coliseum - Portland

Title says it. The kids (eventually) had a blast, all the actors were great. BUT having to wait in line with little kids for about 75 minutes was ridiculous. There’s got to be a more efficient way. Timed admission, maybe?

    Not so great

by Jewell0501 on 10/19/22Veterans Memorial Coliseum - Portland

I went to the Underhill Haunted House last Saturday after a winterhawks game. It really wasn’t very scary and there was a lot of hallways within the haunted house with absolutely nothing to see. I feel like it was a waste of my money.

    Not Portlands best

by Nini on 10/18/22Veterans Memorial Coliseum - Portland

First trying to find where to go was a hassle, while huge group of winter hawks fans storm out. Second, just didn’t make us jump as other Portland haunted houses have. Groups were too close together, you knew what was coming. Only jumped maybe twice out of the 3 haunted houses.

    Very scary and very fun!

by Sophia on 10/18/22Veterans Memorial Coliseum - Portland

The only scares are jump scares, which makes it fun and scary but will not give you nightmares. Warning: you will be chased. I recommend going with friends.

    Wasted Space

by Bon on 10/18/22Veterans Memorial Coliseum - Portland

The tall ceilings made everything too visible. Was never pitch black. No funhouse/mirror style sections. One or two black light rooms. Curtains should have went all the way up to the ceiling. Stationary actors not great or engaged. Was really short. Should have been decor/actors leading up to the haunted house. Only good thing was some decent jump scares. Wouldn't come back.

    Disappointed

by Joe on 10/17/22Veterans Memorial Coliseum - Portland

Many rooms/areas not well decorated or contained live actors. No animatronics, just a few walking character live actors that would startled attendees rather than were actually scary. No actors hardly donned makeup or wore anything scary. I rarely write reviews in any forum, so I feel I’m taking one for the team who also enjoy haunted houses, and passing along this review. Lastly, no signage or directions on where to go or where the waiting line is.

    Please don’t waste your money

by Maritza on 10/17/22Veterans Memorial Coliseum - Portland

I had high expectations given the location, after a almost 1 hour wait and maybe less than 15 minutes to get through the whole haunted house I was highly unimpressed. Seemed extremely cheap, not good scare tactics, there were hardly even people there scaring us. Probably the worst haunted house I’ve been to yet and I’ve been to quite a few this halloween month! Please save yourself the money and visit somewhere like milburns, sauvie island haunted maze or literally anywhere else🙄

    Ok

    by J. H. on 10/16/22

Not too long of a line. Easily able to bring a child. Definitely not worth 27.00 dollars. Ok experience. Would not come again.

Not enough actors, lots of empty spaces

by Csands on 10/12/22Veterans Memorial Coliseum - Portland

I was really excited to go check this place out and hoped it’d be like it’s predecessor (fright town) but it wasn’t. We waited in line for about an hour and a half for the 7pm Saturday time slot and then the whole thing took about 15 minutes to walk through. The actors were SPARCE at best and there was large swaths of the haunted “house” that was maze, Just ply board walls leading to the next room which was sometimes uninhabited. I think the whole thing was with the right idea just poorly executed. Plus the whole thing was dark. Part of the fun of fright town was that some rooms were totally lit up so you could marvel at all the atrocities. I hope they make some changes and make it better next year at $30 a ticket I definitely expected more.

    Best experience

by Mersedes on 10/11/22Veterans Memorial Coliseum - Portland

I like how each character either hides and scares you and there are the ones that stau still and still scare you and omg it was the best experience. I kept on looking all over the place to see if there was going to be some jump scares and there were so many it was awesome, I will for sure be coming back

fun to go with a group!

by Kaye on 10/11/22Veterans Memorial Coliseum - Portland

personally i didn’t think it was too scary (through a lot of my friends did) my only critique was it’s only about 20 minutes long haha it’s so fun.

    It was So so

    by Erika Smith on 10/8/22

I have mixed feelings to be honest. It was pretty mild to have spent $27. I think that is a little high nowadays.. They definitely needed more cast members and it would have been great. The people working we’re doing there best which still made it fun.

    Okay

by T on 10/4/22Veterans Memorial Coliseum - Portland

It was very very mild. I feel like I could have brought my young children and they would have been fine. I could have avoided the drive to downtown and stayed home for that one.

    Overall vibe

by Happy-go-lucky on 10/4/22Veterans Memorial Coliseum - Portland

The haunts were very fun. The building needs to put more advertisements up to direct people where the entrance is. We ran into a lot of groups that were lost. I also think the tickets were overpriced, 2 tix and parking/uber = 100$. A ittle over priced especially for lack of advertisement and quality of haunt.
