    Lacking

by Grandpa jim on 10/26/23Veterans Memorial Coliseum - Portland

Seemed like it could use more going on. Not very many actors, it ended very quickly, decorations sparse, overall not an immersive or interactive experience that my little one was excited for. She was not very engaged and especially for me as the grown up it was disappointing.

    Short and boring

by Grandpa jim on 10/26/23Veterans Memorial Coliseum - Portland

Too short, patronizing exit into a marketplace of cheap trinkets, sparse decorations with little interactive experiences. Overall, surprisingly underwhelming. Maybe a 3 for my daughter due to her increased novelty for simple experiences but 2 stars from my experience as the adult guiding her through.

    Really fun for my kids

by Rockpockets on 10/25/23Veterans Memorial Coliseum - Portland

I was pleasantly surprised at how this event went. The actors were very professional and did a great job making my kids feel confident walking through the haunted house. I will say it was crazy dark I almost couldn’t see but they make it pretty impossible to get lost. It was the prefect event for my 5 year old who is very scared of everything. We will probably go again next year.

    Pointless for older (10) kids

by blackdog on 10/25/23Veterans Memorial Coliseum - Portland

To call this a ‘haunted house’ is a huge stretch. It’s essentially a super easy dark maze you walk through. Nothing remotely scary. The kids I took were 10 so perhaps much younger kids would enjoy it but mine were bored and super disappointed.

    Could have been better

by Meier on 10/24/23Veterans Memorial Coliseum - Portland

It could be more of a carnival, games at the end kids could play, more candy. It was just ok

    Just Right

by Mama on 10/24/23Veterans Memorial Coliseum - Portland

My almost 7 year old was scared and the magic wand gave him confidence. It was just the right length and amount of “monsters.” He loved the green swamp fog room the best.

My granddaughter: “The Best Haunted House EVER!”

by Swansong on 10/24/23Veterans Memorial Coliseum - Portland

Took my 7 year old granddaughter for her birthday present. Although apprehensive at first, by the end of our visit she was ecstatic and joyful. I really liked the idea of giving a magic wand that made any scary monsters “go to sleep”—it gave her a real feeling of competence and control. By the end she was confident, not scared at all. I’ll probably take my other grandkids with her next year—highly enjoyable. However, I would recommend taking public transportation to the venue—cost of parking nearby was unexpectedly high.

    I've had better

by Freddy on 10/24/23Veterans Memorial Coliseum - Portland

So having time slots and still having to wait in line for an hour and a half really doesn't make any sense. You purchase time slot tickets cause you're expecting to have a better time, waiting in line I know is going to happen but an hour and a half just to get to the front go through and the timing not helping cause you end up catching up to the group in front which ruins your experience because you know whats coming and then to get through the whole thing in 30 minutes you can bet I won't be purchasing it next year sorry

    Meh

by KA on 10/24/23Veterans Memorial Coliseum - Portland

It was just a lot of walking through corridors, with the occasional jump scare. The themes were not that interesting or well thought out, and it didn't really feel like a haunted house.

    Rushed

by Jroll503 on 10/24/23Veterans Memorial Coliseum - Portland

They need to space out the groups. There was people rite in front of us so the kids could see what was happening before we even got to the monsters, while another group of people were right on our heels. It made the whole experience feel rushed.

    Not worth the $

by Zach on 10/23/23Veterans Memorial Coliseum - Portland

Low production value, not spaced out enough so you end up having a group of 20 go through.

    Not worth the price

by Kat on 10/23/23Veterans Memorial Coliseum - Portland

After spending $85- including parking- for two people, the most horrifying thing about this haunt was the line to get in. There were hardly any scares, we were crowded by group in front and behind us. It was really short. Iv honestly been to a scarier haunted house put on by a church. I wouldn’t be so harsh if it didn’t cost me so much!

    Lack of creativity

by Dan on 10/23/23Veterans Memorial Coliseum - Portland

The haunted house was fine. It started out with creepiness and jump scares, but ended with less creepiness and the same jump scares.

    Okay at best

by E.G. on 10/23/23Veterans Memorial Coliseum - Portland

Unfortunately I was really looking forward to this haunted house and I was disappointed. Although there were a couple good scares it didn’t take long to get through and we kept running into and having to stop because it got so congested with people. Not an exaggeration, it took us 4 times as long to find a parking spot as it did to do the whole haunted house. Overall a let down. :( Bummed

It was fun but not enough scare

by Ivey on 10/18/23Veterans Memorial Coliseum - Portland

This was fun but there were parts where no one came out to scare. I’m not sure if y’al it was short staffed but it felt like was over quickly a couple of times due to there was no one there to scare us

    Underwhelming

by 44chinook on 10/16/23Veterans Memorial Coliseum - Portland

Underhill was very underwhelming. A lot of dead space where nothing was happening. Just a maze that you're walking through. Some more people working would have helped with the experience.

The line to haunt ratio was no good

by ScarsyKat on 10/16/23Veterans Memorial Coliseum - Portland

The attraction itself was fun the performers and sets all done well. However, we spent 3X as long in line as we did in the haunted house. I preferred earlier years where there were three separate attractions, rather than grouping them all together.

    To expensive.

by Jon on 10/9/23Veterans Memorial Coliseum - Portland

30 bucks a ticket and 32 bucks to park. For a 15 min experience.

    Fine, kid friendly

by Brittnee on 10/3/23Veterans Memorial Coliseum - Portland

I’d say the houses were fine specially if you have children. If you’re a group of adults that love horror and Halloween maybe try another place if you want to be scared. Having photos taken at the beginning was fun and the shops at the end were nice.
