Uncle Kracker may have gotten his start on the turntables mixing rap and rock, but on his phenomenally popular album Follow Me, and the music that's followed, audiences have heard a softer, gentler sound. His 2009 hit single, “Smile,” debuted at No. 57 on the charts and was quickly embraced by country music fans. To top it off, he’s collaborated on songs and played concerts with country star Kenny Chesney on numerous occasions. On his 2013 tour, he shared a loaded ticket with longtime musical collaborator Kid Rock and Southern rock legends ZZ Top. His music was the softest and sweetest of the bunch, a mix of rock and country, including tracks off his 2012 album, Midnight Special, featuring the singles "Nobody's Sad on a Saturday Night" and "Blue Skies."
Uncle Kracker, born Matthew Shafer, grew up in Michigan, where he became best friends with then-unknown rap-rocker Kid Rock, who introduced Kracker into the turntable scene. Kracker soon became a featured vocalist on Rock's early albums. When Rock achieved musical success, Kracker decided it was time for him to release his own album, too. His debut, Double Wide, mostly featured a Kid Rock-style rap-rock mix, but it was the softer single, "Follow Me," that hit it big, charting on the Adult Contemporary and Country charts. The album went double platinum and spent an incredible 10 months on the Billboard 200. His 2003 remake of Dobie Gray’s “Drift Away” set the record for most weeks at No. 1 on the Adult Contemporary chart. From his 2009 album, Happy Hour, Kracker's Don Williams-influenced “Smile” went double platinum. His most recent album, 2012’s Midnight Special, is Uncle Kracker’s first full country album.
Was our first time at the Rail Head for a show. We liked how it was smaller and easy to see the show. Drinks were easy to get and we had a great time. Only thing we didn't like was the length of the show. I was having a great time with our group, but it seemed to be very short and we didn't want it to end. Still overall, it was a great show.
I never miss him when he is in Las Vegas. He always puts on an amazing show. I always have such a blast.

The club was packed, the liquor was jack. Uncle Kracker at 8 seconds, definitely b back! It was a great time. May have to push a bitch around when they start rubbin up on ya man, but hoes will be hoes & Queens will kick ass & straighten our crowns!
The sound for the opening act was great. Not sure what happened for his show but it was horrible. The venue is nice and the crowd was great. He is a great performer and I wanted to love the show but the sound system sucked. We left early.
The waite was long they didnt start playing untill 11 pm..and the music was entirely to loud ..

Uncle Kracker was great and fun, the sound system was so bad even the band made a comment. The set up is folding chairs like a throw together outside tent service. Never will go there again but will go see him again. There were no t shirt sales either, which read very upsetting as I took my daughter and ofcourse what could doesn't want a shirt.

Really enjoyed this show. Tickets were only $20. There was no opening band & Uncle Kracker took the stage right on time & played for 1 hour 15 minutes. He interacted with the crowd and played all of our favorites and some others. He was great live & even though it was a pretty small venue he still gave 100%. We were a little disappointed there was no encore but again, for the price of the ticket, I couldn't complain. Great time!

Was a great night..he even took the time to FaceTime with us with my 7 year old granddaughter during the concert, who loves him to pieces! Very personal man and venue!
