It was the second year in a row that we went. Our team was the defending 1A state champs, and we won again as well as my son being named tournament MVP. It was an all around great time. The Alamodome is a great venue without a bad seat. It was tons of fun!!
It would be a lot less confusing, better seating as well as more enjoyable if seats were sold per session. We go every year to just watch the best players in the state. Every time there’s a scramble for the previous sessions seats. Would make things so much better plus the spectators that don’t have a seating code wouldn’t have to be in the rafters.
Had a great time with my granddaughter over the weekend watching her school win the state championship game Lake highlands. Plenty of seating parking was easy. Food not overly expensive. Hope to go back next year
Had a great time at the UIL boys championships did it last year had a wonderful time as well and will do it again next year.

The Boys State Basketball games were fun and exciting to watch. I have enjoyed these games every year since 1988. I do hope the paper programs return, I miss having them.
The experience is always great to see high school basketball. CONS..... No printed program. My collection of programs over the past 35 years has valuable information about the games and players. None this year. WE NEED PRINTED PROGRAMS. Trying to find the QR code was next to impossible. The QR code should have been copied and taped to the walls on entry. I waited several minutes for it to show up on the screen. PROS... the restrooms were kept very clean and plenty of paper goods.
Amazing! I’m really glad the UIL boys basketball state games are held in San Antonio at the Alamodome. The experience is like no other. It’s great to see schools around the state compete at a high level. Can’t wait till next year!
Not enough areas to avoid steps. Parking is too far from venue for people with knee or foot problems.
The atmosphere of San Antonio sucks. I will never go again, this was my first in San Antonio. I went 20 years in Austin prior to the move.
The Alamodome is a terrible place to watch basketball games. The seats are very small and uncomfortable. Portable bleachers and the large black curtain takes away from the experience. Great basketball games in a bad venue.
Our first time going since the tournament moved to San Antonio. Easy entry on tickets. Seating was pretty good, but definitely far removed from the court. Would like to see paper programs on sale as opposed to just viewing on the app. Great games, but atmosphere left something to be desired. The curtain covering the upper deck made things feel a little cavernous.
Having no programs was a huge downer.I like to flip thru make notes and write scores. Plus I have saved all my programs since 1990. I didn’t understand why the ceiling was change so that the schools get the best seats since they are only gonna be there for one or two games but me and others like me go to all the games. We see the same people every year but this year was different. Some of my friends did not even go this year because of the changes.
My team won so it was an excellent experience. Parking was easy to navigate, the arena was easy to navigate, and the staff was friendly.

The Alamodome is an extremely nice venue but it's not a basketball viewer friendly environment. The Erwin Center in Austin where the tournament was previously held serves a better function. The Alamodome can only brag about better parking and access over The Erwin Center.
Alamodome is not a basketball venue Cost $360 for a family of four to watch all the championship games Saturday. Way too expensive.
Wow a lot of great games, but to be there to witness the greatest UIL come back with Duncanville and Atascocita was the highlight. Can't wait for next year's games
I was able to watch the first game from the comfort of home. Once they won I was able to go to the final game to watch live. On the way home we watched other playoff games. Great experience.
