As a disabled veteran i was unhappy that the stairs was blocked off and i had to walk up the curved ramp! Also, they need find another tournment for the academy teams to play in. Its unfair they have to play smaller public schools!!!
Quality of basketball is outstanding. That's where the superlatives end. This event needs a new home. The Alamodome dome is old. The facility needs an update. It's probably fine for football but it's just not a good basketball venue. Especially not for high school basketball. There's no energy, because the space is way too big. These kids should be playing in an actual arena with the ability to feel the energy from the crowd. The Alamodome isn't the place.
THUMBS UP to Ticketmasters for the online reservations of seats and payment methods! The notice that "your phone is your ticket" is an important statement for people like me, so i had to learn how to download, sign up for ticketmasters and i had the barcodes on my phone for entry into the Alamodome, I DID IT!!
Love that it is back for all 3 days in the alamodome. San Antonio is sooooo much better than having the tournament in austin. Better parking, better facility, better safety efforts are made, just better overall. My only issue this year besides the ridiculously high prices of food at the concession stands was not having a program or rather having to download the program. I heard many complaints about this, please bring the program back it is worth the money to not have to sign onto your phone everytime to check the program for each game. That is my only real complaint.
They did not sell programs!!! They did not sell programs!!! They did not sell programs!!! No live singing of The National Anthem on the final day!!! No Color Guard on the final day!!! Did Not like the Venue!!!! Will Not be back to the Alamodome to watch UIL Basketball !!!
I had to pay again at the door because 3 of my other tickets wouldn’t scan at all it was a big waste of money
The entire experience was amazing. To see some of the up and coming talent on full display was nothing short of amazing. Congratulations to all the participants that made it to the tournament.
Thoroughly enjoyed the UIL Boys State Basketball tournament. The use of Ticketmaster was so user friendly.
I continue to enjoy the tournament in San Antonio. The event staff seem happy to see you and treat you that way. My only negative was …. NO PROGRAMS! I hated having to use my phone. We enjoy filling in brackets, marking starters, pts scored etc

Ticketmaster experience was good, no real issues with that process. Event program was not available in print/paper form this year, had to look at it on your electronic device. Really looked forward to saving the program as a souvenir each year and the notes made in it.
Dependency on phone for ticket access is a burden and potential problem.
Alamodome does a great thing in hosting the tournament, but just wish it was in arena thats just for basketball. I think the crowd noise would be better
It was disappointing that the fan seating for each community was offset from center court by a half section. Those tickets should be available to students, parents and the community of the team playing not coaches from other schools. Coaches already have access to the floor seating.
San Antonio isn’t the place for state basketball there’s no place to eat are have fellowship like there was in Austin. The dome is not a basketball gym so that’s my complaint.
Basketball skills and physicality at the 6A level has reached a point where traditional basketball is unrecognizable. Most "rules" cant be enforced due to the shear totality of violation. While i am in awe of the physical display of the players , i fear the game has reached a point that it is unrecognizable in terms of what the game should be.

1. San Antonio, Texas is 5 Star for visitors 2. Alamodome 1 Star. It is a football stadium. 3. Parking is 5 Star 4. Concession services minus 5 Star 5. The University Interscholastic League of Texas management of the 2020 Boys State BASKETBALL TOURNAMENT was horrible. The focus was on $$$ not athletes and fans. All three lost.
Event was suspended by city officials. Came home after watching one game.
