Misty Copeland was such a humble, well spoken individual. We were so lucky to listen to her book readings and amazed by the time she took to answer audience questions.
I have had the privilege of seeing many speakers at UB over the last few years. Jon Meacham was the best one yet. Using humor and seriousness in equal measure he was a pleasure to listen to. Using no notes, he was both entertaining and charismatic with a great message that was both subtle and important. I enjoyed this talk tremendously.
Amanda Gorman is a breathe of fresh air. Such a scholar of the world . Funny , smart and gracious . Role model for generations to come ❤️
First time I have been to this event and I was very impressed with it. I plan on attending more of them in the future.
On the edge of my seat the entire time and wanting to hear it all again immediately
Great event…really enjoyed Amy’s take on learning, associating, and remembering things she has been exposed to! She is a role model for so many who are struggling with their gender identity. So glad she could be part of the UB Speakers Series.
Amy Schneider was wonderful! Her lecture was upbeat, honest, insightful, informative and fun. Amy had a great rapport with the audience which broke into applause several times during the evening. The moderator during the Q&A did a great job. My only criticism is that the microphones during the Q&A were somewhat obtrusive.
I loved Sherillyn Ifill’s presentation and encouragement
I was grateful to be able to attend the Distinguished Speaker Series with Marie Yavanovich. I was so happy to be able to bring my 10 year old granddaughter to her first Distinguished Speaker Series. Marie Yavanovich is a courageous woman with life experiences that few people will be able to duplicate. This was a great life experience for my granddaughter & me to share.
