Tycho in Concert
Tycho is an audio visual project, band and the alias of graphic artist and musician Scott Hansen, aka ISO50.
As Tycho, Scott Hansen blends swirling melodies into vaguely triumphant arcs that crisscross between stuttering beats and vocal samples, creating rolling sonic landscapes that extend into the horizon. The San Francisco based Hansen began releasing music in the early 2000’s with The Science of Patterns EP. His first full-length, Sunrise Projector, came out in 2004, and the critical acclaim continued in 2006 with the release of Past Is Prologue. In 2011 Hansen’s meticulous process saw the release of Dive, the first record in a trilogy that was followed by Awake in 2014 and the GRAMMY® nominated Epoch in 2016.
Hansen expanded the scope of his project with the addition of vocalist Saint Sinner on 2019’s Weather, Tycho’s second GRAMMY® nomination for Best Dance/Electronic Album. That release was quickly followed by its instrumental companion record Simulcast, a collaboration with alt-R&B artist rum.gold and the Weather Remixes project all in 2020. In addition to his original works, Tycho has remixed Odesza & Leon Bridges, Maggie Rogers, Spoon, The Knocks & Muna, Little Dragon, Thievery Corporation and Death Cab For Cutie.

Title says it all. Tycho is an incredible band and they deserve to not only be nominated for a grammy but also win it this year.
The show was absolutely incredible and blew my expectations out of the water. I have been a tycho fan for many years and listen to the music almost daily. Scott always says in interviews how his shows are a audio and visual experience and I can confirm that. The music was just as incredible as ever but the visuals really made the show something special.
I love this band!! We saw them in Atlanta, the show was so good that we drove all the way to Oxford, Mississippi just to see them again the next night. I can't wait to see them again. This band is taking music, and visual effects to another level.
This was a phenomenal show and a favorite, chill venue. My only issue was that Tycho's sound is really too 'big' to be constrained indoors anywhere. Missed the first opener, but really enjoyed having a drink at the mezzanine hi-top and hearing Com Truise for the first time.
Unique and soothing music working in perfect tangent with breathtaking visuals crafted specifically to match the mood of each song = Tycho. Overall, so amazing. If you ever get the chance you should definitely go see them.
The venue was really cool, it was my first time. The openers, Autograf really set the tone right and Tycho was amazing. The acoustics were great as well as the lighting. I was with someone who is pretty short but we had no problem finding a space where we both could see.
The show @ The Ritz in Ybor City was fantastic. Being inside a small venue, the music was not distorted, could have been there for days and just listen to Tycho.
Absolutely amazing. Beautiful visuals, sound, and atmosphere. Just do yourself and favor and go.
Epic performance by my favorite artist! It will be a night I will remember forever!
I've been to many many shows, but this was one of the most beautiful experiences of my life. The visuals from their projector are stunning. They are all in the same vein as their album artwork. Like if you filmed the ocean, surfing, and waves but put the video through an instagram filter called "sunset." It is just a very relaxed and pleasant time. I can't recommend seeing Tycho enough!
Very good show by Tycho at an amazing venue. I would love to see Tycho at Fox Theater again in the future.
I missed Com Truise unfortunately, but have seen him before and he was awesome then. And I thoroughly enjoyed Tycho. The visuals were spectacular and the music, so beautiful. Would definitely see him live again!
Tycho at the Fox Oakland was amazing. The sweet synths of Scott Hansen washed over the crowd, together with Zac Brown's and Joe Davancens' guitar licks and synth playing, and drums by Rory O'Connor laying down the beat. The music transcended the ambient genre into which Tycho is usually placed and took the listener into a place all its own. The laser light show, which Tycho premiered at the Fox Oakland, combined with the music for a perfect mix of son et lumiere.
I've seen Tycho a few times around the SF bay area. This was the best performance yet. Excellent audio and visual presentation, and an amazing venue.
The music was great. Played an hour an half set. Not much of a stage presence. I guess lazers and background light show make up for lack of a stage presence.
It was an incredible show overall. The band was excellent. I will definitely see them again next time they are in Boston.
Seeing Tycho live is always a great night. Christopher Willits and Beacon opened before Tycho and both were very good; Willits set up a soothing ambient atmosphere and Beacon set up a great drum and bass style setlist. Tychos live versions of their songs are awesome and the personal live touch added in their concerts is something every Tycho listener needs to experience.
It was good except there were people smoking weed which was annoying.
Tycho put on an outstanding show, full of good vibes, positive energy, and uplifting music. It was a wonderful experience. The crowd was diverse, engaged, and friendly, too. This was my second time seeing them, and I can't wait for them to come back!
