About

The Irish are coming! The Irish are coming! Northern Irish dance-punk trio Two Door Cinema Club have stormed the urban scene with their fresh indie new-wave sound. Think of them as your ticket to catchy dance music without the guilt.

If you've been to any cool-kid parties with plenty of PBR or watched a Microsoft Outlook commercial you've heard Two Door Cinema Club. The debut single "Something Good Can Work" was originally released in 2009 on a trend-setting compilation from fashion house/record label Maison Kitsunè. If you can't remember it catch it on Youtube (it has nearly 15 million views).

Following in the footsteps of French dance-pop phenomena Phoenix and '80s icon Duran Duran, Two Door Cinema Club recorded their debut 2010 album Tourist History at Eastcote Studios in London. Mixed by Phillip Zdar, his vision was to  punch up the beat with rich bass and foot-stomping rhythm. While on tour with Alt-J, Chvrches, Peace and St Lucia, stopping a venues like Fillmore (Philadelphia), their live sets turned into impromptu dance parties, not even the most passive fans couldn't resist the groove.

Their sophomore album Beacon, produced by Jacknife Lee was released in September 2012 and reached No. 17 on the U.S. Billboard 200 with  singles" Sleep Alone" and "Sun." Well thought hooks, good beats, and fearless when it comes to having fun, Two Door Cinema Club is going to have many honorary members wanting to join in.

    The best dance party ever.

by MiecesPieces on 4/14/11Showbox at the Market - Seattle

Two Door Cinema Club does not disappoint. With their catchy hooks and their infectious beats, this concert was amazing. They gave a spectacular performance and they had the best dance party in Seattle that night. If you ever get a chance to see them, you have to go (and dance a lot in the process). :]

They did not disappoint once again. It was great to see them play a bigger place, but some of the people need to move (dance). Can not wait to see them again.

    Two Door was Amazing

by AbelM on 11/8/10The Music Box - Hollywood

Parking at The Music Box being in Hollwood is pricey there was a parking lot right next to venue charging 20 dollars if you drive up a little further there was another parking lot for 10 dollars. There was also parking on the street where the parking meters went off at 8pm so that would've been the best option but i got there at 6. The venue was really nice. I would say i liked it better than the House of blues Anaheim. Funeral Party was good, I don't even remember the next band which means they weren't memorable enough. TDCC played at 10:20 and played for about an hour or a little more. The sound for the previous bands wasn't that great and the lights weren't used for them but, for TDCC the sound was fantastic and the lights were flashing away. TDCC was almost impeccable everything sounded just like the cd and better. Great energy through out the whole set and they were very very humble and professional on stage. This is a band you have to see if you're into going to shows and like TDCC even just a little bit :)

    Two Door Cinema was Incredible

by Anonymous on 11/5/10The Music Box - Hollywood

Two Door Cinema Club absolutely knocked my socks off. The Music Box venue was a very cool, intimate place that I would definitely check out again. The only bummer is that once you leave your spot, you're done and there's no way you can get back there. Funeral Party - I actually like their recorded stuff but the singer had awful stage presence and their music just came out garbled and novice Generationals - A little slow for the pump up jams I was waiting to hear but I definitely was impressed with these guys and will be downloading their music soon TDCC - Completely amazing. I have never been so impressed with a live performance.

The opening artists were pretty average. But Two Door Cinema was awesome. They are all extremely talented and know exactly how to get the crowd going. There was not one person who was standing still. They are an amazing and talented group of individuals.

by Soppy on 11/5/10The Music Box - Hollywood

If a band from Ireland comes to Los Angeles to perform, it is definitely worth the ticket price I paid. Two Door Cinema Club has amazing talent and is awesome live; their energy and dance beats are brought to stage right in front of you. Love love loved them.

    Great Show

by Anonymous on 11/4/10The Music Box - Hollywood

Let me start by saying that I had never been to the Music Box before and really loved the venue. There isn't a bad seat in the house and the option to sit in the mezzanine is a great one. In terms of the show itself, I thought Two Door Cinema Club and Funeral Party were excellent. Two great high energy bands that got everyone in the place moving. Not to say that the Generationals were bad, but their vibe was way different from the other two, and because they went on after Funeral Party and before Two Door Cinema Club they really brought down the energy. Maybe if they had opened...

    Well worth the money

by Jilltoo on 11/1/10Bluebird Theater - Denver

There were 2 opening acts, neither of which I was familiar with. They did a really good job and were high energy. Two Door Cinema Club were easy to relate to and genuinely wanted their fans to have a great time. This was refreshing, as many larger acts I've seen are there for themselves, not the fans. I found the band endearing and they played their songs just as well live as you'd hear them on the album. A great experience.

    Hmmmmm.....

    by bug33 on 11/1/10Bluebird Theater - Denver

Two Door Cinema Club is a decent act! They're fun and energetic on stage and they have a reasonably tight sound..... plus, they have a fantastic groove when playing live! However, their mixing wasn't great and they played, I think, 8 songs TOTAL! I have no idea why Two Door picked Bad Veins and Funeral Party for openers. Funeral Party was a C- band and Bad Veins was a D- act. Neither lead singer can sing and their drummers both suffer from strong Neanderthal roots........pound much? Funeral Party did have several moments where they shined, but I don't think they'll go far with their sub-par musicianship and mediocre song writing. Bad Veins got some style points, but couldn't even round up a bass player to play with them....opting for a tape backup that gave them a solidly karaoki feel. I guess I have to give them some props because at least they were open about it......they moved that tape backup center stage, where everyone could see it, and simply hit the pause button between songs...... seriously? The bands, however, had one solid thing to their advantage. The predominantly 18 year-old crowd had no idea what good, live music should sound like. All the acts received resounding applause!
