About

Pioneers of the Red Dirt music scene and one of America's most beloved bands, Turnpike Troubadours has amassed a massive following throughout their renowned career with more than 2.2 billion streams globally and over 1.7 million equivalent units sold. Since their debut in 2005, the band has released seven studio albums, performed countless sold-out headline shows, appeared in Paramount's hit show "Yellowstone" and were inducted into the Oklahoma Music Hall of Fame. Most recently, Turnpike Troubadours added to their historic career with the release of their new surprise album, The Price of Admission, which debuted at #1 on the iTunes all-genre and country charts and earned them their highest Spotify chart debuts to date. The eagerly awaited follow up to their widely acclaimed 2023 album, A Cat in the Rain, The Price of Admission further cements the band as an undeniable force in the music world and led Whiskey Riff to declare "Turnpike Troubadours have continued to prove time and time again that they are the greatest band of all time." Originally from Tahlequah, OK, Turnpike Troubadours is Evan Felker (vocals, guitar), Kyle Nix (fiddle), Ryan Engleman (electric guitar), RC Edwards (bass), Gabe Pearson (drums) and Hank Early (steel, accordion).

  • Turnpike is great

by Jjward on 1/23/24Paycom Center - Oklahoma CityRating: 4 out of 5

Turnpike was great. Was super disappointed that Charles Wesley Godwin only played for 30 minutes. I would much rather listen to CWG than Jason isbell. His music isn’t that great and it was a huge bummer. I did love the floor seats. It was wonderful getting that prebuy discount also. One thing, those drink prices were outrageous. It needs to be more affordable

  • Troubadors in OKC

by BH Family on 1/23/24Paycom Center - Oklahoma CityRating: 5 out of 5

Took my wife, step-son and his girlfriend to the 1st show in Oklahoma City. It was amazing! New album is great! Love seeing perform live again!

The band and experience was over the top, we had the greatest time ever and would love to see them again

  • Great concert! Get the start time right next time.

by Can’t Tell Time but Jammin Concert on 1/22/24Paycom Center - Oklahoma CityRating: 4 out of 5

It would have been nice had they advertised the correct start time. Charles Wesley Godwin was already on stage playing when we arrived just before 7 (the advertised start time).

  • A New Experience - Turnpike Troubadors

    by K9DogMan on 1/22/24Paycom Center - Oklahoma CityRating: 3 out of 5

My kind of country music is Ray Price, Ronnie Milsap and others from that generation. The Turnpike Troubadours were known only to me by name. I was not familiar with their music. Our daughter invited her mother and me to join her and her husband at the TT's concert so we agreed. We missed the first opening act and the second warm-up was just taking the stage when we arrived. The first opener was on stage for 20 minutes and the second was on stage for over an hour. We were only able to stay for about half of the TT's performance, due to a situation at home. When I hear that I am going to see a headliner, that's who I want to see. In today's music scene, the headliner does not come out for at least and hour and a half from the advertised showtime. Overall, I was a little uncomfortable by not knowing the artist(s) but I thought for the most part, the music was good. Next time, I will study a little harder and know more about the performers.

  • Great Event!

by JDL on 1/22/24Paycom Center - Oklahoma CityRating: 5 out of 5

When the entire crowd is singing along throughout the concert, it doesn’t get any better!

  • Super performance

by Yeehaw on 1/22/24Paycom Center - Oklahoma CityRating: 5 out of 5

We loved all the groups in the TT show. They gave great energy. We saw Isbell at the Red Rocks last Spring. Amazing place to go see a concert. We how to see Turpike Troubadours again.

  • Meh

by Jeff on 1/22/24Paycom Center - Oklahoma CityRating: 3 out of 5

This experience was tempered by the fact we were surrounded by people who talked through the entire show. You should really make an announcement asking people to chat in the halls if it just can’t wait. Jason Isbell was ill, but still put everything into the show. He’s a consummate professional and always great. The troubadours just felt uninspired. I think it’s too big a room for that type of band. Not terrible, but nothing you walk away jazzed about. I’ve seen them many times and these arena shows are nothing like the ones at Cains. It just feels like they’re sleep walking through a dance they used to know. Charles Wesley Godwin was great. Just too short.

  • Awesome

Turnpike was excellent, Jason Isbell was not great. Wish Charles Wesley Godwin played longer.

  • Best concert

Such a great experience! Their voices are pure, they’re talented in all of their instruments! Just love them.

  • Great concert

The Turnpike Troubadours did not disappoint. It was a great show!

  • Terrific performance by Trubadours

by Birdman on 12/19/23Peoria Civic Center - PeoriaRating: 4 out of 5

First and third performers were great. Second group left much to be desired. Entry to venue went smoothly. More toilet facilities are needed (long lines). Seats were adequate but as its lot of folks that bought seats ended up standing and blocking view. Overall an enjoyable evening

  • Phenomenal

by Amy on 12/19/23Peoria Civic Center - PeoriaRating: 5 out of 5

One of the best concerts I’ve been to. Got audience involved. None stop 3 hour music.

  • A-M-A-Z-I-N-G!

by AEW Fan on 12/19/23Peoria Civic Center - PeoriaRating: 5 out of 5

This concert was amazing. All the opening acts were wonderful and engaging and played really great sets. The atmosphere was great and Turnpike Troubadours played an amazing show and set list. It was just a really great concert all around!

  • Pretty good

    by K123 on 12/19/23Peoria Civic Center - PeoriaRating: 4 out of 5

Sound quality was “meh”. Steel guitar was inaudible. Sounded alright with 2-3 guys playing. With all 6 everything just sounded muffled and muddy. Great songs and great vibe but the opening acts sounded better.

  • Great bands...selfish denny

by Tj on 12/17/23Denny Sanford PREMIER Center - Sioux FallsRating: 5 out of 5

The show was amazing. It was sad to see so many unsold seats on the app literally 30 minutes after the show started. I guess the Dennys would rather have empty seats then sell them cheaper and fill them! I had a fanny pack style bag that measures 6x4 at thebseMs but security kept smashing it flat and made it wider. All that was in it was keys and I'd and debit card! Lady in front of me had an entire backpack breastpump...and that was ok. So, guess us ladies should all start bringing breastpumps.

  • Great concert

by Karen on 12/17/23Denny Sanford PREMIER Center - Sioux FallsRating: 5 out of 5

Love the Troubadours!! Have followed them for years. Although it’s hard to beat the early music they are popular for, they drop in a nice balance of their new music…nobody gets the crowd up and moving like these guys do!

  • Turnpike LOVE

So good! Don’t miss. Worth the price of front row! ♥️🎄⭐️

  • Troubadours were great. Not a good venue.

by Scrappy on 12/17/23Denny Sanford PREMIER Center - Sioux FallsRating: 4 out of 5

The Turnpike Troubadours were very good. Opening bands were OK. The Sioux Falls Premier Center acoustically was awful. I know it’s a multi event center, but it was bad for all the bands playing. The facility reverb was distracting.
