About

Train are a Grammy Award-winning rock band who have released 11 studio albums, selling over 10 million copies worldwide. Formed in San Francisco in 1993, Train released their self-titled debut in 1998, but they broke through to the mainstream with their 2001 follow-up, Drops of Jupiter, which became their first of six Top 10 albums behind their seven-time platinum single of the same name. To date, Train have logged six Top 20 singles on the Billboard Hot 100 and four No. 1 songs on the Adult Pop Airplay chart, including 2003’s “Calling All Angels” and 2009’s “Hey, Soul Sister.” The group has embraced various genres through collaborations with leading country artists like Martina McBride, Ashley Monroe and Tenille Townes, rapper Travie McCoy and pop singers such as Sofía Reyes and Cam. Train have gone on tour nearly every year since 1996, playing in over 25 countries and sharing the bill with the likes of Hall & Oates, Goo Goo Dolls and Jewel. As of 2024, the band is made up of founding frontman Pat Monahan, Taylor Locke (guitar and vocals), Hector Maldonado (bass and vocals), Jerry Becker (keyboards and guitar), and Matt Musty (drums).

Train is a Summer staple in our house - such a fun show. Every time! They play plenty of their own hits and always toss in covers to keep their fans happy. We’ve seen them about 8-9 times and always are wanting more. Pat is a great guy - just wanna sit and have a beer with him. Thanks for another great show guys!

Train was amazing with Edwin McCain ! Great songs especially Moving Out dedicated for Billy Joel and Hotel California with Edwin McCain! Hope they come to Mohegan Sun again and do the same seating arrangement for orchestra seats! The sound was great and a very nice crowd! The energy is always great and sounds so good live!

  • Fantastic Concert in an Excellent Venue

by Joyce J on 8/19/25Hard Rock Live at Etess Arena - Atlantic CityRating: 5 out of 5

The Train Concert Friday night started with Edwin McCain who was excellent and very funny to add. His music was a real treat because it wasn't noted on the tickets. Train came on shortly after Ed rocked the stage and put on a fantastic show with Pat Monahan's voice sounding as pristine and crystal clear as ever. The venue was also great-- at the Hard Rock Concert Arena we could stand close to the band and see everything that was going on stage without needing to look at any screens. Everything was perfect except we all lost at the gambling tables. We still have priceless memories from the concert. Train never ceases to amaze my friends and I.

  • Train really puts on a great show

Train & Edwin McCain - were wonderful - the venue was perfect and couldn't have enjoyed it more - thanks for a wonderful evening!

  • Train was Awesome !!

by T. S. on 8/19/25Hard Rock Live at Etess Arena - Atlantic CityRating: 5 out of 5

Got to see Train for a mere $92 + service charge at Hard Rock in AC. I got the GA which was better than the seats, because they were further away. Hung out with a bunch of people and listen to the great music.

  • Great show from start to finish!

by Jerseygurl on 8/18/25Hard Rock Live at Etess Arena - Atlantic CityRating: 5 out of 5

I didn't know that there would be an opener for Train. Here's this band I'd never even heard of (Edwin McCain) that just grabs my attention! They were so good...and funny too! I really enjoyed their music and hope I get to see them at a future show. Train was awesome! The whole atmosphere in the venue was electric. Everyone stayed until the very end and left wanting more. Would definitely see them again. GO! You won't regret it.

  • Awesome

by Bev on 8/18/25Hard Rock Live at Etess Arena - Atlantic CityRating: 5 out of 5

Train was awesome as always, playing to the crowd. Edwin McCain was pretty good as well.

  • Something I’ll always have

by Ryan on 8/18/25Hard Rock Live at Etess Arena - Atlantic CityRating: 5 out of 5

The memory of seeing them in the past was nothing compared to the memory I made with my daughter at this one. We were in front and got a selfie video from Pat, a shirt, a drumstick and I have video of Pat throwing the shirt to my daughter along with a screenshot of him pointing right at her. Couldnt ask for anything more.

  • Good but not as great as previous shows

by Deb on 8/18/25Hard Rock Live at Etess Arena - Atlantic CityRating: 4 out of 5

It was a good show. The time between Edwin McCain and Train was too long. 35 minutes. But I’m not sure I would go again to see Train if things don’t change up. Same selfies during same song with too many people throwing their phones on stage. Too many covers of other artists songs, done wonderfully, but I would rather hear Train sing Train songs. Not one song from AM Gold album. And Mississippi is just too downer of a song for a concert. Just didn’t have the same exciting feel as when I saw them at PNC last year.

  • Just good

by Roman on 8/18/25Hard Rock Live at Etess Arena - Atlantic CityRating: 4 out of 5

I really like Train have seen them many times. Why did that have to do so many covers, they have so many great song do their own....

  • Venue seating was bad

by Kmhiche on 8/18/25Hard Rock Live at Etess Arena - Atlantic CityRating: 3 out of 5

Train was great as always. But the venue was bad. Brought seats instead of general admission, which is standing only. View from my seat was bad stage was not centered and even the big screen was hard to see. I had my 9 yr old niece with me and we ended up standing - she couldn't see the stage at all but could see the big screen. This is our 4th time seeing Train and this was the worst venue.
