About

Train are a Grammy Award-winning rock band who have released 11 studio albums, selling over 10 million copies worldwide. Formed in San Francisco in 1993, Train released their self-titled debut in 1998, but they broke through to the mainstream with their 2001 follow-up, Drops of Jupiter, which became their first of six Top 10 albums behind their seven-time platinum single of the same name. To date, Train have logged six Top 20 singles on the Billboard Hot 100 and four No. 1 songs on the Adult Pop Airplay chart, including 2003’s “Calling All Angels” and 2009’s “Hey, Soul Sister.” The group has embraced various genres through collaborations with leading country artists like Martina McBride, Ashley Monroe and Tenille Townes, rapper Travie McCoy and pop singers such as Sofía Reyes and Cam. Train have gone on tour nearly every year since 1996, playing in over 25 countries and sharing the bill with the likes of Hall & Oates, Goo Goo Dolls and Jewel. As of 2024, the band is made up of founding frontman Pat Monahan, Taylor Locke (guitar and vocals), Hector Maldonado (bass and vocals), Jerry Becker (keyboards and guitar), and Matt Musty (drums).

Before I knew Train, I saw Pat M. play on TV, “Who Wants to Be a Millionaire!!” He called a friend with his last life line but not for help on the question but he called to tell friend he was fixing to win a million dollars!! I’m so happy I finally got to see them at Choctaw Casino in Durant, OK!! It was an amazing experience.

Great! This is second time to see Train in Durant. Will see again. Train always puts on a fantastic show. Older and cover songs! Love the venue because it’s smaller so every seat is great! Easy to get in and out of seat. Parking good.

  • Good but could have been great

    by PJ1 on 8/29/25Walmart AMP - RogersRating: 4 out of 5

The venue is nice, Edwin McCain was awesome and Train did great other than the 30+ minute delay between the opening act and their performance. I understand the need for downtime in between acts, however I'd rather not listen to 30+ minutes of music when it only took 10 minutes to swap the stage equipment.

  • Always a great concert

by Jeepers on 8/25/25Mohegan Sun Arena - UncasvilleRating: 5 out of 5

This was my 4th Train concert over the years. Most of them have been at Tanglewood which is a totally different venue from Mohegan Sun. I would go back to Mohegan Sun, plenty to see and do prior and after the concert. Everything went smoothly, from finding parking, entering the building, finding the concert arena, going thru security and locating our seats. Plenty of staff to help locate everything we needed. Plenty of signage for guidance. The concert arena, the seats had good leg room not piled so tight your legs couldn’t move. Everything moved smoothly leaving also.

  • Uplifting and entertaining
