About

Train are a Grammy Award-winning rock band who have released 11 studio albums, selling over 10 million copies worldwide. Formed in San Francisco in 1993, Train released their self-titled debut in 1998, but they broke through to the mainstream with their 2001 follow-up, Drops of Jupiter, which became their first of six Top 10 albums behind their seven-time platinum single of the same name. To date, Train have logged six Top 20 singles on the Billboard Hot 100 and four No. 1 songs on the Adult Pop Airplay chart, including 2003’s “Calling All Angels” and 2009’s “Hey, Soul Sister.” The group has embraced various genres through collaborations with leading country artists like Martina McBride, Ashley Monroe and Tenille Townes, rapper Travie McCoy and pop singers such as Sofía Reyes and Cam. Train have gone on tour nearly every year since 1996, playing in over 25 countries and sharing the bill with the likes of Hall & Oates, Goo Goo Dolls and Jewel. As of 2024, the band is made up of founding frontman Pat Monahan, Taylor Locke (guitar and vocals), Hector Maldonado (bass and vocals), Jerry Becker (keyboards and guitar), and Matt Musty (drums).

  • By far Best concert ever seen!!!

by Pami/Trev on 8/28/24The Wharf Amphitheater - Orange BeachRating: 5 out of 5

I attended the concert with my grandson. We both agreed these 3 bands knocked it out of the park. Yacht Rock began with an awesome show, followed by Reo Speedwagon who brought an outstanding show singing all the best songs getting tht crowd ready for Train. When Train came on stage they brought it wide open. Then the lead singer, Patrick announced he was a little under the weather with throat issues, but he was going to push through it. Well we never knew he was having issues because the concert was off the chain. Knowing he was sick my heart went out to him but I was so impressed that he soldierd through. When Train comes to Gulf Shores Alabama again me and Trevor will definitely be at the concert!

  • I highly recommend seeing.

by D. Terry on 8/28/24Oak Mountain Amphitheatre - BirminghamRating: 5 out of 5

The concert was excellent. I saw Train last time at the same location.

  • Pat was hoarse

by Tim on 8/27/24The Wharf Amphitheater - Orange BeachRating: 4 out of 5

Absolutely love Train! Unfortunately, Pat was sick and hoarse and didn’t sound great. He is usually amazing and it was disappointing because I surprised my wife with tickets and drove 4 hours. Not his fault, our bad luck, I guess.

  • Band & Beach getaway

by TinaB on 8/27/24The Wharf Amphitheater - Orange BeachRating: 5 out of 5

This was my first time attending a show at the Wharf and I was really impressed! My husband and I took our grandson to his first show and I cannot express how amazed he was and how much he enjoyed the bands! The parking was a bit arduous but, the show was great! We cannot wait to attend another show at this venue!

  • Amazing show

by Chris on 8/27/24Daily's Place - JacksonvilleRating: 5 out of 5

I wouldn't call myself a "Train fan"by any stretch of the imagination! I knew their radio hits, but not much more than that. The show definitely changed my mind! I would not only recommend their show, but I plan to go back and see then whenever they are in the area! Amazing show, with amazing musicians!! I'd never heard of Yacht Rock, but they were AWESOME!!! They didn't really put on a concert, but rather threw a party!!

  • MUST SEE!

by ZmAC on 8/27/24Ameris Bank Amphitheatre - AlpharettaRating: 5 out of 5

Train puts on one hell of a live performance!! They hit all the great songs and some I’ve never heard before. From start to finish, they absolutely rocked the night and they sound the exact same as they do on radio or albums. 10/10 will always say YES to seeing them live. I told my best friends mom and her sister because they REO but she said she is a full Train fan now!!!! Yall keep doing what your doing, because your killin it!!!

  • I love riding on the Train!

by Amy on 8/27/24The Wharf Amphitheater - Orange BeachRating: 5 out of 5

Train was fabulous...as always! They are always engaging with the crowd and giving it their all. Pat Monahan was under the weather but he was incredible!

  • Meh...

by Susan on 8/27/24Ameris Bank Amphitheatre - AlpharettaRating: 3 out of 5

I went to this concert to see Yacht Rock Review and REO Speedwagon. It just so happened that Train was the headlining act. I will say that my low rating is based on my total experience which unfortunately included an hour long rain delay, so take that into account. The venue was proactive and kept everyone safe during the lightning storm. (outdoor venue) Now, to the music. I thoroughly enjoyed Yacht Rock Review! Awesome show and awesome music! I enjoyed REO Speedwagon, but will say it wasn't the best show I've been to. We were so cold and wet from the rain that we left when REO was done, so we never even got to see Train.

  • Great show

by Sharon on 8/27/24The Wharf Amphitheater - Orange BeachRating: 5 out of 5

Train and REO Speedwagon both put on a show. I would see them again and again.

Honestly I never heard of them until they were playing with REO. I didn't realize how many of their songs I dis know. They were so good.
