About

Train are a Grammy Award-winning rock band who have released 11 studio albums, selling over 10 million copies worldwide. Formed in San Francisco in 1993, Train released their self-titled debut in 1998, but they broke through to the mainstream with their 2001 follow-up, Drops of Jupiter, which became their first of six Top 10 albums behind their seven-time platinum single of the same name. To date, Train have logged six Top 20 singles on the Billboard Hot 100 and four No. 1 songs on the Adult Pop Airplay chart, including 2003’s “Calling All Angels” and 2009’s “Hey, Soul Sister.” The group has embraced various genres through collaborations with leading country artists like Martina McBride, Ashley Monroe and Tenille Townes, rapper Travie McCoy and pop singers such as Sofía Reyes and Cam. Train have gone on tour nearly every year since 1996, playing in over 25 countries and sharing the bill with the likes of Hall & Oates, Goo Goo Dolls and Jewel. As of 2024, the band is made up of founding frontman Pat Monahan, Taylor Locke (guitar and vocals), Hector Maldonado (bass and vocals), Jerry Becker (keyboards and guitar), and Matt Musty (drums).

I went to see REO Speedwagon and Train the other night at the Shoreline amphitheatre. They were both amazing. Best concert I have been to in a long time.

We did the Meet & Greet with Pat Monahan and he was so social and laid back; such an amazingly human...Well worth the money we paid.

The preshow Yatchrock group was really good and fun., then the intermission before REO Speedwagon and Train got people really moving., Shoreline is a great venue and I was glad that I got to share this concert with family. REO Speedwagon and Train were AWESOME!

  • Incredible

by Jane on 9/10/24Shoreline Amphitheatre - Mountain ViewRating: 5 out of 5

What a show! Do not miss the chance to see Train. REO Speedwagon was a treat too! One of the most special parts was Pat’s son, Rock, doing an amazing cover of a Zeppelin song. Kid is crazy good and dad going off on drums! Just wow! I’ve seen Train 3x’s now, but this was their best of those shows, in MHO. They just keep getting better! It was a show, not just a band singing. Fully engaged with their audience. Pat took a few phones and took pics with the people in front row. So cool. Whole crowd standing, dancing, singing! Been to 6 concerts @ Shoreline in last year or so. None as packed as for Train! Loved it!! 🙌

Train in the Bay Area is amazing. Shoreline Amphitheater is going downhill

  • The Train is rocking

by PhilA on 9/10/24Shoreline Amphitheatre - Mountain ViewRating: 5 out of 5

We attended the Train concert at Shoreline Amphitheater and it was awesome. Yacht Rock Review opened the show with a great repertoire and great sound and lots of personality. Reo Speedwagon followed with a fantastic set of their timeless hits, sounded great and the show could have ended there ! But, we came to see Train and Pat and the boys did not disappoint. They always connect with the audience and even more here as Pat’s 10 year old son came on stage to sing with the band on a flawless Led Zep cover. Pat played the drums on that. Man is he talented….you had to be there to get the whole experience and I guarantee we will see Train and the complete show next and the next and the next !!

  • Beyond expectations !

by Erins on 9/10/24Shoreline Amphitheatre - Mountain ViewRating: 5 out of 5

I loved, loved Train ! My first time seeing them in concert and they were so interactive with the audience and did not stop ! I loved when Rock sang and when REO joined Train on the stage. Everything from tee shirt throw, beach balls, and ending in confetti throughout the arena. Loved and when go see them again.

  • Such a treat

by Hayley on 9/10/24Shoreline Amphitheatre - Mountain ViewRating: 5 out of 5

Train has always put on a fun and fantastic show. They incorporate, beach balls, streamers, confetti, and free T-shirt. It’s just a party atmosphere all around. And on, September 7, Patrick’s son was singing with the band. What a treat!!

  • Super fun and chill!

    by Kenna01 on 9/10/24Toyota Amphitheatre - WheatlandRating: 5 out of 5

This was a great show! The stage energy is electric and so much fun to watch and the crowd as a whole seemed to really enjoy it but it was also nice because no one was going too crazy. The music was great, the vocals were awesome and the overall vibe was just great! Fun show with some fun classics!

We arrived by hotel shuttle and went through security and had our tickets scanned within 5 minutes. No waiting at all! We were enjoying the music, and drinks within 15 minutes. Everything was smooth sailing at the venue. The workers were friendly and helpful. The music was awesome and the lawn seats were perfect for us. We can't wait to visit this venue again.

Everything was perfect from the moment we drove in, parked, entered the venue, ordered food and then.... all the picnic tables and seating were wet soooo...remember to bring a towel to dry your seats if you plan to eat there.
