About

Train are a Grammy Award-winning rock band who have released 11 studio albums, selling over 10 million copies worldwide. Formed in San Francisco in 1993, Train released their self-titled debut in 1998, but they broke through to the mainstream with their 2001 follow-up, Drops of Jupiter, which became their first of six Top 10 albums behind their seven-time platinum single of the same name. To date, Train have logged six Top 20 singles on the Billboard Hot 100 and four No. 1 songs on the Adult Pop Airplay chart, including 2003’s “Calling All Angels” and 2009’s “Hey, Soul Sister.” The group has embraced various genres through collaborations with leading country artists like Martina McBride, Ashley Monroe and Tenille Townes, rapper Travie McCoy and pop singers such as Sofía Reyes and Cam. Train have gone on tour nearly every year since 1996, playing in over 25 countries and sharing the bill with the likes of Hall & Oates, Goo Goo Dolls and Jewel. As of 2024, the band is made up of founding frontman Pat Monahan, Taylor Locke (guitar and vocals), Hector Maldonado (bass and vocals), Jerry Becker (keyboards and guitar), and Matt Musty (drums).

  • Great show with strong vocals and music.

by Kimba on 9/11/24Toyota Amphitheatre - WheatlandRating: 5 out of 5

Train delivered a great performance with lots of energy and excellent vocals and music. It is the second time we've seen them, and both times we loved the show. Pat Monahan shows a lot of affection for the crowd, which is appreciated. Train played most of their hits and the stage production is also first class.

by Feline Fanatic on 9/11/24Kia Forum - InglewoodRating: 5 out of 5

Always love Train but the addition of REO Speedwagon and YachtRock Revue made it the perfect night. Pat Monahan's son is following in his Dad's footsteps. What a voice!

  • Pat Monahan has the voice of an angel

by Dee Kay on 9/11/24Kia Forum - InglewoodRating: 5 out of 5

Train is one of those bands that is more fun to see live...listening on the radio does not do them justice. The energy and engagement with the audience is incredible and the vocals sound like we are inside a recording studio. Don't sleep on going to see them!

  • Train rocks!

    by Choo-choo on 9/11/24Kia Forum - InglewoodRating: 5 out of 5

Great show!!! Yacht Rock was very entertaining, and you know every song for sure. I hope to have as much energy as REO Speedwagon. I’m get up there myself, but man those guys got after it! Trains probably one of my favorites of all time and they never disappoint! Loved the show.

  • First time to the forum!

by Miss Miami on 9/11/24Kia Forum - InglewoodRating: 5 out of 5

First concert ever at the forum, the train/REO Speedwagon concert was fabulous. Really really enjoyed the concert. Wish they played a little longer. My only issue was trying to find preferred parking for the first time. It wasn’t very clear and asking attendance along the roadway didn’t seem to know much. No attendance we’re watching all the people going around the cones cutting off cars heading to preferred parking. Ridiculous. Entry into the forum through security was easy. We will definitely be back again.

  • Good substitute for being on the SATS cruise WITH Train!

by CEM on 9/11/24Kia Forum - InglewoodRating: 5 out of 5

Usually we join the Train cruise every time it’s available, but we aren’t going in 2025, so the next best thing was seeing my favorite bands live! We liked our seats, the crowd was great! And the line up was fantastic !

watched Yacht Rock Revue - GREAT and REO and loved both shows. Only saw 2 songs with Train - had to leave early.

  • Great Concert

by LuluBelle on 9/11/24Kia Forum - InglewoodRating: 4 out of 5

Loved the concert with Yacht Rock, REO Speedwagon and Train at the Forum in Inglewood! Sound and acoustics were excellent. Staff on the floor were great trying to keep the crowd moving in the path in front of our seats. Hated prepaying for parking only to find out it was cheaper the day of at the Forum. That really bites! Traffic was so awful getting to the Forum due to a NFL game next door getting out when we arrived, the last thing I needed was to find out I was ripped off for prepaid parking. There should be a benefit for buying ahead of time and maybe even a shorter line to park would be nice. Also, the prices for drinks were outrageous. Totally ridiculous. Overall a great night except for the price gauging by the Forum.

  • Train concert

What a great show it was 3 bands having fun all nite long ! Playing there songs , playing covers bringing guest on stage it was a non stop party. The Forum has the best sound a truly incredible night of great music and fun.

  • What a great show!

by Margi on 9/11/24Kia Forum - InglewoodRating: 5 out of 5

This was an amazing night! Starting with Yacht Rock Revue, who performed music from the past very well, to REO Speedwagon bringing the memories of yesteryear and of their their new album. But my favorite was Train. Such energy and personality Pat Monahan exudes! Loved all the lights and background videos. And when the three bands combined to do “Hotel California”, it was probably the best rendition we’ve heard. Again, fantastic performances by all - can’t wait to see another in the future!

  • Worst sound of any venue

Three great acts that are doing it for the love of the music and performing. I’ve seen over a hundred concerts and easily top 5 show experiences I’ve had. Train knocked it out of the park and closed out a night of fun in style and high energy. Never a dull moment. Keep on rolling !!

We went to see REO so that was why we attending. We were familiar with Train but never really listened to the lyrics. We were so impressed with the showmanship, the talent and the quality of the music. Lead singer - outstanding!!! The band - amazing! We are in the process of purchasing more Train music. We would see them again in a heartbeat!
