About

Train are a Grammy Award-winning rock band who have released 11 studio albums, selling over 10 million copies worldwide. Formed in San Francisco in 1993, Train released their self-titled debut in 1998, but they broke through to the mainstream with their 2001 follow-up, Drops of Jupiter, which became their first of six Top 10 albums behind their seven-time platinum single of the same name. To date, Train have logged six Top 20 singles on the Billboard Hot 100 and four No. 1 songs on the Adult Pop Airplay chart, including 2003’s “Calling All Angels” and 2009’s “Hey, Soul Sister.” The group has embraced various genres through collaborations with leading country artists like Martina McBride, Ashley Monroe and Tenille Townes, rapper Travie McCoy and pop singers such as Sofía Reyes and Cam. Train have gone on tour nearly every year since 1996, playing in over 25 countries and sharing the bill with the likes of Hall & Oates, Goo Goo Dolls and Jewel. As of 2024, the band is made up of founding frontman Pat Monahan, Taylor Locke (guitar and vocals), Hector Maldonado (bass and vocals), Jerry Becker (keyboards and guitar), and Matt Musty (drums).

  • Great band! Great show!

by bfreedy@mac.com on 5/6/25M Resort Spa Casino - HendersonRating: 5 out of 5

Excellent show! They're always amazing. The sound was great too in the seated area at this venue!

  • Train still on track but M Resort a Mess!

by Centerstage Tonight on 5/6/25M Resort Spa Casino - HendersonRating: 4 out of 5

High energy and Pats ageless vocals made this a great event, Blending songs, Zeppelin covers and his son Rock joining in were all amazing. The venue… although visually attractive has some issues. Flat and vast the sight lines aren’t great. Even from within the first 10 rows not good. A large empty pit area didn’t help! Other similar venues add (like Pier 17 in NYC) add screens to resolve this issue. Parking even well before the event was problematic because of other onsite attractions and music events earlier. Alternates like rideshare or mass transit problematic due to the venues isolation from civilization!

  • Always an incredible performance

by Rai on 5/6/25M Resort Spa Casino - HendersonRating: 5 out of 5

Train always puts on such a great show and there's few concerts I enjoy attending as much as theirs.

  • Excellent performances and venue!

by Pete on 5/6/25M Resort Spa Casino - HendersonRating: 5 out of 5

The Calling followed by headliner Train combined for an excellent performance by both groups. The venue was outstanding.

  • Best concert in a long time!

by MelB on 5/6/25M Resort Spa Casino - HendersonRating: 5 out of 5

Train was absolutely amazing! They were great, the venue was great! Had a hard time finding the shirts but we finally did! Train put on the best show I have seen in a long time. They sounded great, entertained the audience and had everyone involved! Everyone was pretty much standing and dancing the whole time! Absolutely loved it!

  • A must see!

by Jon M on 5/6/25M Resort Spa Casino - HendersonRating: 5 out of 5

Train puts on a performance like no other. The way a concert should be, fun, entertaining and will make you want to go back again and again.

  • Train rocked - soundboard on stage sucked

by Concert Lover on 5/6/25M Resort Spa Casino - HendersonRating: 4 out of 5

Loved Train and The Calling! Bought seats in row C on the right. Unfortunately M Resort set the soundboard up on the right side of the stage - blocked my view and stopped the bands from working the right side of the stage. Should have bought GA tix instead. Venue was cool overall but really disappointed in the obstructed view. Should have sold the tix as obstructed view.

  • 🤘Phenomenal Show

by JediJesi on 1/26/25Rating: 5 out of 5

I went to the shoreline venue to see REO. I've always loooved Train since day one, so it was a major plus. I'll tell you what. Train knows how to perform for the fans. It was the first time I really felt jealous I wasn't in the front for that! Next time I will be! 🤘🫶

  • Fun but Hard to See

by Yanet on 10/6/24Ameris Bank Amphitheatre - AlpharettaRating: 4 out of 5

Besides the storm that passed before the show started, my only issue was the trees that were blocking the screen on the left side of the theater. We got seating at the edge in the back section as I prefer aisle seating. Now I could see the stage but relied on the screen to see up close. Unfortunately, it was a partially blocked view. I would have bought different seats had I known. Train was awesome so I still enjoyed the show.

  • Train/REO Speedwagon/Yacht Rock Review

by RLCrocker on 10/3/24Kia Forum - InglewoodRating: 5 out of 5

This was my third time seeing Train and it was an exceptional ride(as always)! Pat Monaghan seems to really enjoy what he’s doing and it shows every time I’ve seen them! The Forum was the largest venue I’ve seen them in, usually more intimate surroundings. Both experiences are extremely enjoyable- a real party like atmosphere. Show exceeded my expectations and sharing the stage with REO( whom I hadn’t seen since the early ‘80’s), brought back so many memories of good times. They sounded exceptional. Kevin Cronin’s voice was as great as ever! And finding out that this show was their last ever tour performance, makes it all the more special! What can I say about YRR? They were a fun group of guys singing many memorable songs of my life! A real party atmosphere describes the entire concert event! Fun was had all around and I look forward to Trains next tour. See ya there…

  • Awesome

by Liz on 9/29/24Rating: 5 out of 5

I had the best time at the concert all three band we great! Train was amazing! They looked like they were having fun on stage and Pat came down off the stage treating his fans! Was one of the best concerts I have been to! Will be waiting to see them again!

  • Missed REO, but the show was a HIT!

by AZamberose on 9/24/24Talking Stick Resort Amphitheatre - PhoenixRating: 5 out of 5

We were sad that REO didn't play due to illness, but Yacht Rock Revue and Train picked up the slack without missing a beat. I have a new appreciation for "dads in tight pants"and promptly downloaded almost all of the songs they covered, having forgotten how good those songs are. Pat was in great voice and the guys from Train put on a great show. Pat's dry sense of humor and interactions with the band showed that they were legit enjoying themselves, albeit probably happy about the pending break from touring. Cant wait until Train comes through town again. <3 <3

  • Disappointed, Pat seemed bored.

by Jimmy on 9/24/24Kia Forum - InglewoodRating: 3 out of 5

I have been following Train for years. Most, if not all of his original band members are gone. He seemed like he was just going through the motions with little to no enthusiasm. It’s sad that I will probably not attend another concert again (so very sad). I loved them and always bought tickets on day one. I AM TRULY SADDENED.

  • Train is pure joy

by Shireenbr on 9/19/24Kia Forum - InglewoodRating: 5 out of 5

Train never disappoints! They bring so much positive energy to every performance. They love playing and their joy is contagious! Loved hearing Rock sing! What a talented young man with a beautiful voice. Another memorable concert.

  • Awesome

The concert was great! Loved the cover band at the beginning and Train was a wonderful entertainer!

  • Top notch night

by Glenn on 9/16/24Kia Forum - InglewoodRating: 4 out of 5

We enjoyed the Train, REO Speedwagon, Yacht Rock Review concert on Sept 8th, 2024. The concert was one the best of 2024, the 8th concert of our summer. Train was incredibly good as were REO and the opener, a lot of fun. The event was at the Kia Forum, a decent facility but not near as good as Honda Center, Crypto or SoFi, but those are newer facilities. Kia Forum reminds me of an old Vegas hotel, dark and tired. First the doors opened 12 mins late from the time the facility stated they opened, no huge deal, but don't state a time. The line for food was 25 mins, while the bar line were no existent, a reallocation of resources is necessary since we have experienced the same earlier in the year for Doobie Brothers. We sat in row 1 of section 211, A good spot but the speaker stack obstructed our view some, the couple beside us left to request a different spot. Also the first row is very tight against the wall in front of us, so no room for refreshments except in the walkway or under the seat. Also cup tops didn't fit so that was an issue too. Despite these annoyances we had a great night. If not for these factors it would have been a 5 star.

  • Awesome concert as always!

by LH on 9/14/24North Island Credit Union Amphitheatre - Chula VistaRating: 5 out of 5

Train always puts on such a great show! Love how they interact with the audience, play their best songs, and give their all! The crowd always has such a great time. Love seeing them!
