Toronto Maple Leafs History
The Toronto Maple Leafs have 13 Stanley Cup Championships and seven division championships, with more than 60 former players, coaches and executives in the Hockey Hall of Fame. The Maple Leafs were one of the NHL's founding teams in 1917. They originally were known as the Arenas and then the St. Patricks before taking their current name in 1927 after Conn Smythe bought the franchise.
The team won two Stanley Cup Championships in the NHL's first five years and returned to the finals in 1932 behind the "Kid Line" of eventual Hall of Famers Charlie Conacher, Joe Primeau, and Busher Jackson. In 1942, they defeated the Detroit Red Wings in seven games to win the first of five Stanley Cup Championships under coach Hap Day. The addition the following year of center Ted Kennedy helped the Leafs maintain their dominance, and resulted in another title in 1951.
The Leafs won three Stanley Cup Championships in a row starting in 1962, and another in the 1966-1967 season, thanks to a roster brimming with players who would end up in the Hall of Fame: George Armstrong, Johnny Bower, Red Kelly, Dave Keon, Tim Horton, Allan Stanley, Bob Pulford, and Frank Mahovlich.
The team returned to the conference finals in 1992-1993 and 1993-1994, then again in 1998-1999—the latter trip powered by eventual franchise scoring leader Mats Sundin. The Maple Leafs have appeared in the Playoffs every year consecutively since 2017. The Toronto Maple Leafs have made the Playoffs a total of 74 times to date.

Nice upgrades to the arena, good atmosphere for preseason. Staff was very nice , love the new way of picking up food and then self purchase, great idea!
Easy access, staff was great and the rink was realy impressive. Seat was awsome. Leafs lost but I was only there to check the facility. I definitely recommend anyone to check out a game there.
2nd game in 5 days! Great bday gifts from daughter, centre ice with great view, but the Senators game was 5th row platinum! Game 3 coming Oct 18th Wish all tix were cheaper so we can see more games live!
Game was fine at Scotia bank. But the entire 300 level was under construction. There was only 1 bathroom on that floor so lines were unacceptable. Fans were forced to funnel down to the 200 level where we waited 25-30 minutes in line. Overall, in terms of the facilities, I was unimpressed.
everything went well and despite them losing. good time and hoping for the best
It made my night watching g his expressions along with watching my leafs.
Although just a pre-seasons game, great atmosphere and worth the money.
Overall expérience was good. We were in the 305 section, great seat but it was under construction everywhere for the ré imagination and it was horrible just to go and grab snack and beer… when we could find something to eat or drink
The event was fine except that the two tickets i purchased had an obstructed view. I couldn't see past the blue line. When purchasing the tickets i would have appreciated a note that the view is obstructed the tickets were the same price as other tickets in the area which i would have purchased if i knew instead. Very disappointing.
Ticketmaster itself did an excellent job in furnishing the tickets and guiding me through the process of utilizing their mobile-ticket check-in system (essentially, they send you your tickets electronically, and then once at the event, your e-tickets are scanned in at the gate). It was smooth and painless. Full marks to Ticketmaster. As for the event itself, well, Scotiabank Arena was great: very nice and helpful staff members (Harold in particular was very helpful). The venue is accessible, and the bathrooms were clean and tidy. Lots of concessions could be easily purchased. The only sad aspect of the experience, was the fact that the Toronto Maple Leafs, lost Game 7, and lost badly. Many of the fans left early (which was itself awful to see). We hope for better days ahead for the Leafs, and thank you again to Ticketmaster, for facilitating an excellent experience (even if the outcome of the match was disappointing).
It was awesome time. Had a blast. Dollar for tickets awesome would do again in a heartbeat
Son and I had an awesome time. Definitely would do again. Atmosphere was electric.
This was such a great event!! I would love to see this happen again next year!! The sense of community in the arena was unforgettable (even with the team playing away)!!!
I’m a hard core leaf fan but yesterday’s performance was very embarrassing. I feel like I was watching game 5 on home ice again. The goal tender was not getting any help at all and the rest of the team was not here in mind to win.
I enjoyed the watch party, the environment was fun and loud, the announcers kept everyone entertained. MLSE should do these viewings more often. Only downside is the arena was really cold 🥶
i hope they do this more often. watch parties are the best
The leafs watch party was unbelievably fun! They should do this for every playoff road game.
This in my opinion was the best playoff experience I could ask for without breaking the wallet. The crowd was amazing and being that close to the ice was a unforgettable experience the jumbotron provided the best watching experience aslo they had light on the ice showing players and puck. Honestly the closest thing to a playoff experience just missing the players but the atmosphere and vibes was definitely there
It was a fun time! Great atmosphere and clean building too!
Easy to retrieve tickets and enter venue. Only problem was having to climb three flights of stairs.
