It was my first time seeing Tori Amos live and I loved it very much. Her voice and her band sounded really good. It was a magical night and I’d love to go to another show. ❤️
Tori and her band sounded great. My one complaint was I wished she played 1 or 2 more “pop” hits. Her setlist was more for her hardcore fans which I completely respect. I’ve been looking at her setlists this tour and you might get 1 pop hit (mostly cornflake girl) maybe 2. So if you’re looking for greatest hits maybe not this tour but if you’re a hardcore fan this tours for you.
Fun lights. Music like one long composition. I napped.
The venue was clean and ran efficiently. I do wish there had been more food options. Tori was amazing. So saddened she fractured her fibula during the stay.
I wish their was some kind of announcement to restrict talking and turn phones to silent mode. For the opening show, so many people we’re talking and it was so rude! When Tori came I, was shocked to hear people still talking. Also, I went with my husband and two friends. We were sent to one set of doors and then once we arrived, were sent to a different set of doors. We ended up sitting in the wrong seats because of this. Sound quality and lighting were awesome. Nice staff, just needed to learn the seating better
Easy to park. Not a bad seat in the theater. Bar too slow (only one bartender at each bar) and ridiculously expensive: $33 for one double Patron before tax or tip.
Tori shows are always phenomenal. She has an excellent report and connection with the fans and she never does the same show twice. She often changes up the songs in a lot of ways and they evolve over time, to the point that dedicated fans will often have their favorite version of a song from a certain time period, or just a one of show where she decides to improv, and the musicians she brings on the road with her on tours with a band are always exceptional and able to keep up with the improve and song changes as they happen. Ash Soan and Jon Evans are touring with her now and you can tell they all love playing together and have fun playing off each other and improvising. If you have any interest in Tori at all, do not miss your chance to experience one of the best touring artists around.
Front row was my pleasure! I’ve seen Tori Amos many times and moons ago, and been to almost every tour from Los Angeles to Georgia. Top class artists and her performances, writings, vocals, passionate piano playing and selections of wardrobe and hair for each show are always top class! Thank you for all the many evenings, your creations speak deeply to my soul. ❤️ 🧚♀️ 🌸 🌊
She is amazing, I don’t really know what to say, if she is better singing or playing the piano
I had hoped that the set list would include more songs from her "Little Earthquakes" album since it just celebrated its 30th anniversary, but there was virtually nothing from it. However, you cannot go wrong with Tori Amos music from any era.
This was my sixth time seeing her in concert. I love the lady and her music. However, looking at her set lists from other cities, this one not so good. Most of her selections were similar and my friend and I were waiting for something a little more unique. It was obvious because at previous concerts, the crowd could barely sit down over excitement. Here, standing only occurred near the end. And the ten minute introductions need to be dropped. Still, a loyal fan, Susie
Tori put on a great show as usual! Beautiful music! High energy! She and her group were awesome! Cobb Energy Center was also a great venue to see her.
It was really good, in one of my favorite venues, totally enjoyed it.
Admittedly late, I never found my allotted seat, but friendly fans were happy to help. As in the past, my only complaint was that the seat in the first place. Maybe it’s just me, but I can’t sit still or quiet listening to Tori (it’s hard enough in the tub). Apologies to everyone around me for my distracting motion and terrible singing (I tried my best to be still/quiet). Tori was as amazing as ever! I’ve aged as much as she over the last 30 years, but apparently not nearly as well.
Tori put on an amazing show as always. So amazing my wife saw her in NOLA Tuesday and Thursday in BHM. We were going to try and go to the one in ATL Friday, but unable to due to scheduling conflict.
Tori and guys put on an amazing show that is as much art as it is music. This is not the venue nor the music that you need to stand up the entire time, at your seat or in an aisle (hello, security) and yet fans did off and on. I get moving forward for end and encore but don’t allow blocking of view during entire show please.
Absolutely gorgeous venue. I've never been to the Alabama Theatre but after this show I will most assuredly be making more trips to catch shows here. Wasn't overly struck by the opening act Tow'rs but they did a good job. Tori was on fire and astonishing. Great old school setlist with plenty of newer material to satisfy fans that have been with her for 3 months or for 3 decades. Has a great time. Can't wait to see her again! I was a little disappointed with the venue. It was confusing to get into and leave. She didn’t perform very long. I thought that it was an intermission but the show was over. I tried to get back in to buy by a tour T-shirt but they wouldn’t let me back in the venue to buy one. The guy behind me said he left his umbrella in his seat and they wouldn’t let him in either. I probably won’t attend another show at that venue
Would not recommend unless you are a hardcore fan. She's obviously a talented performer, but we wish that she had performed more songs that we could've recognized than just, say, two (the opener and finale).
Great venue! Not too large, so it had a more intimate feeling. Sound was amazing, lights were wonderful and Tori totally shined the entire performance. She really knows how to captivate an audience with her double piano playing and beautiful voice!
