  • Brilliant as always!

by littlegraymare on 7/18/09Greek Theatre - Los AngelesRating: 5 out of 5

Her voice takes my breath away. Her performance is like no other. The way she plays leaves me in awe every time. Straddling, sometimes grinding on the bench, both arms outstretched to her sides, reaching for instruments on either side, swaying with the music. This is the third time I've seen her at the Greek. She played an encore this time, including a couple of my old favorites. I can't wait to see her again! I will go see her every time she plays the Greek.

  • Sinfully Seductive!

    by art2noise on 7/18/09Greek Theatre - Los AngelesRating: 5 out of 5

From the moment she came out, we all knew we were in for another amazing performance. Her spirit, her mood and most importantly, her energy was so eclectic, that it was the first time I had ever seen a crowd just simply going insane during a tori show. This must have been one of the best compiled set lists that I have ever heard from her. I must say, I wish I could have brought her home.

  • Tori Amos is magical!

She is amazing. Still full of so much life and plays the piano like an insane woman. I just wish she spoke more to the audience.

  • Astonishing, mesmerizing, theatrical Tori Amos

by IndigoBoy on 7/18/09Greek Theatre - Los AngelesRating: 5 out of 5

Last night at the Greek Theatre in Los Angeles, I finally saw Tori Amos for the first time live in concert. Without qualification, this was one of the most exciting concert experiences I have ever had. Ms. Amos is theatrical, energetic, honest, moving, inspiring, and commands the entire theater's attention while sitting center stage at the piano. Instead of playing a "greatest hits" type of show, Amos presents a mixture of selections from her considerable catalog. Yes, there were "hit song" moments, but they came within the context of an overall presentation that also allowed me to rediscover the joys of some of her many other songs.

  • Tori was terrific!

    by ToriFanSonomaCounty on 7/18/09Paramount Theatre-Oakland - OaklandRating: 5 out of 5

Loved the venue...the people that work there are always pleasant and helpful, and the Paramount is beautiful. Tori always seems to connect with her audience. Her voice was in top form, cannot believe her talents as a musician! I absolutely love her.

The Greek Theater is a spectacular venue.... and Tori was, of course, amazing. I didn't want the show to end!

  • fantastic, as usual

by kirakiuh on 7/18/09Humphreys Concerts By the Bay - San DiegoRating: 5 out of 5

I've seen Tori live about 6 times now and each time she does not disappoint. What always amazes me is how she'll have around 5 instruments surrounding her, playing a couple at once. She's 45 and still rocks. Amazing woman, musician, everything.

  • Tori Amos at the Greek

by robinmac on 7/18/09Greek Theatre - Los AngelesRating: 5 out of 5

Lovely venue. Trees surrounding the small outdoor venue, warm summer evening, stars in the sky and a great sound system. Oh yes, and one of my favorite artists! Two video screens on both sides of the stage allow for an intimate image, but the entire Greek is really quite small. She was wonderful.

  • Tori Amos was Amazing!

I've always wanted to see Tori Amos perform live and I finally got my wish! It was such fun & energetic! She picked a great set list too.

  • Tori Amos was incredible!!!

by Jennette on 7/18/09Greek Theatre - Los AngelesRating: 5 out of 5

I've been to 5 Tori Amos concerts through the years. She always delivers a wonderful performance, this time included! Tori is awesome in concert, she draws you in and makes the evening very special. Her song choices were perfect, a good mix of older songs and the best of her new songs. I'm a big fan of her early work so I'm happy she always includes a mix. Her outfit was beautiful and she looks very good. The stage lighting was spectacular. The lighting changed for each song to set the mood. It was so unexpected. There was a amazing moment where the lighting, cloud of generated fog, and the song just aligned in such a way that it was beautiful and awe inspiring. This was my first concert at the Greek Theater and it is an awesome venue! I definately would recommend this location, it's small enough that anywhere has a good view.

by simiseeyou on 7/18/09Greek Theatre - Los AngelesRating: 5 out of 5

For true Tori fans, an amazing show. She's a fantastic performer, and so talented. For others who may not be diehard fans, truly worthwhile and entertaining. Great opening act, One Eskimo. Definitely your money's worth ++.

  • Great show.

by xnycx on 7/18/09Greek Theatre - Los AngelesRating: 5 out of 5

I felt that her performance was beyond amazing. Her ability to sing to an entire crowd, but yet the lyrics encircled each and every person as if she was singing directly to them individually.

  • Tori Amos...Amazing @ The Greek...simply amazing.

by BosieO on 7/18/09Greek Theatre - Los AngelesRating: 5 out of 5

whow...well, to say she was amazing with out knowing her music complicates things. I took my best friend to see Tori for the 1st time...he was just taken with her performance...he didn't know many of the songs but thought she puts a good show. I'm a tori fan so I was happy to hear songs liek "Siren" "china" "Tear in your hand" plus many others....

  • Tori was in a good mood

by Flightoftheseabird on 7/18/09Greek Theatre - Los AngelesRating: 5 out of 5

Last night Tori played 21 or 22 songs over the course of nearly two hours. Everything was up-tempo and she picked some of her happier songs. Her voice was extremely strong and she seemed like she was in a really good mood. I would have liked more audience interaction, but this show was about the music.
