Tori Amos began her musical career as the lead singer for the synthpop band Y Kant Tori Read, but after the band failed to reach commercial success she launched her career as a solo artist in 1990. Since then she has released 14 studio albums and has sold over 12 million records worldwide, a major feat for the eight-time Grammy Award-nominated singer. A North Carolina Music Hall of Fame inductee, Amos is recognized for her virtuosic piano playing and her ability to interact with fans during her impressive performances. Not only is she a dynamic performer, but an overall creative genius, pursuing other ventures including a classical music project, an award-nominated musical titled The Light Princess, and a co-authored autobiography, Piece By Piece. My wife loves Tori. I didn’t know many of the songs she played, only a couple, but she’s an amazing performer and her fan base is energetic—a great break from today’s society!!
An amazing venue, it was full of class and charm. I wish this style of venue had gone out of favor for flash. Comfy seats and a great view of the stage
Tori was amazing, as usual. She is an awesome performer and I love her music - but - my favorites were not on the set list. Just like many other artists, she focused on the new album and neglected some of the standards. Even when she did finally do Raspberry Swirl, it was a very different arrangement - very techno-sounding - and almost unrecognizable. Tori needs to remember the fans who got her where she is and give us the great old music, too.
As soon as I took my seat it felt such a magical energy in the venue ! And then Tori took stage and commented on the energy. Her performance was incredible! This show was one of the best shows I’ve ever seen

Tori Amos has been in my life since she burst onto the music scene in 1991. I’m so grateful that I was finally able to see her in person at the gorgeous Orpheum Theater in Madison. Her music was stunning, and the light show added so much to the overall performance. The drummer and bassist were perfection. It was beautiful and will remain in my heart ❤️❤️
Tori was awesome, she never disappoints. Beautiful venue, but cramped for concessions and swag sales, maybe add a bucket of beers on ice on the second level, just to keep things moving. Spent an hour waiting to get out of parking garage, won’t use that again. Be nice if those with event tickets could prepay for parking and then just drive out.
I have seen Tori many times over the years. She is always a wonderful live performer. If you have a chance to see her live go!
I have been riding with T for years, probably millennia. With that said I got the tix very last minute bc Spotify notified me she was coming back. This is my first pando-concert, my last concert being Grace Jones in 2019… Tori Amos NEVER would let me down but when I tell you she’s never sounded better. The theater was a little small for a venue, I’m used to either Fox or the DOH - and alcohol being CASH ONLY and only for “members” of the Michigan Theater was pretty… bothersome. But none of it mattered when Tori took to the stage. Actually, the opening act - Companion - before her, were also pretty phenom. But when Tori Amos came on stage at 9p to when she left around 10:50ish I was smiling ear from ear. So hard that my cheeks hurt. Just go - you’ll never regret it.
Every moment of both performances were super AMAZING !!! I waited 20 years to see Tori !!! I am still feeling the great vibes !!! I want to see her again !!! Everyone needs to see this show !! The sound of the piano in the Michigan Theater was something out of a Fairytaile !!!
Tori is the absolute best and being in her presence is healing and life changing. The best live performance ever. She's brilliant and magical.

The crowd went wild for the well known early work, and there should have been more of that.
Auditorium is the ultimate Chicago music venue. Great seats. Great opening act. Tori gave 101%. But for spending the money for premium seats, I’d expect the house system (mainly lower frequencies) to be better tuned to the main floor. Boomy does not even cover the overall sound.
This was the 5th time I’ve been privileged to see Tori Amos perform. I’m a lifelong fan, her songs are dear friends of mine, throughout many stages of both mine and Ms. Amos’ life. The latest show was such a strong performance, had an absolutely amazing light experience, and showcased her artistry beautifully. I’m truly thankful that she continues to perform and share her gifts with her fans. She feels like a part of me, even though we’ve never met. Music is such an emotional connection and I am blessed to have her music in my life.
