The sound and music was amazing. Very enjoyable and professional show. Brought back terrific memories.
The band is fantastic. Debbie Taylor really connects with her audience. Her vocals are spot on and her personality really shines.
Everything was spot on visually, musically with a very warm vibe. Covered all the hits and then some, very true to Karen's voice and Richard's arrangements. High recommended!
Excellent Show! Superb performance! Awesome story telling before each song bringing the history of the songs to the crowd and also having a few with a lot of sing-a-long parts which the crowd LOVED! The band and the back up singers were incredible as well. A MUST SEE for any CARPENTER FAN!!!
I love the carpenters, and when I saw this event, I decided to go. Wasn't sure how it would go, but it was exceptional, telling the stories of why the song was written, and other interesting facts like that really made it the most enjoyable. i will definitely go again ! thanks.
It was an outstanding performance by both the singer and the band! The sound and replication of the original music was spot on. And the singer was charming and personable too with the audience. A really nostalgic treat that made for a great evening. Thank you!
My wife and I enjoyed the Carpenter Tribute concert immensely !! Debbie is amazing and spot on when singing the unmatchable Karen Carpenter. Not many if any could replicate Karen Carpenter as well as Debbie does and her mannerisms and Karen’s inflections were perfect. I loved talking to her for just a minute after the concert as she came down to the lobby to meet her attendees. Please bring them back to do a Christmas Concert in December. They are all true professionals. Thank You all for a great show !!!
Not as good as the real Carpenters but almost as good. Great orchestration and wonderful vocals.
The show was entertaining however the band equipment wasn’t working well so the lead singer had a hard time trying to sing
Nostalgic! I thought I was a young girl again! My husband and I knew the words to sing along! The musicians were great and Debbie was terrific. She had Karen’s inflection of sounds and timing down cold! Great show!
The show was absolutely spot on, great mix of talk & music. If you closed your eyes you were at a live Carpenter's show
very well done show. Debby was spot on with the Karen sound in her vocals. Excellent band, sax/flute guy especially stood out and drums, piano and bass were solid. Lead guitar killed it on Goodbye to Love. Outstanding back-up singers as well. Played all the favorites, along with many back stories. Great evening.
This was our 2nd time going to this tribute. Don't remember the following issue last year? It seemed like there were a lot of audio issues especially during 1st set. Besides the mic squealing several times, it appeared the main mic was not turned up enough. It sounded like the band was louder than the singer during different parts of the song. She has a great voice and the 2nd set had much better audio quality except for the occasional squealing mike.
The singing and playing of the Carpenter’s hits was fabulous. It brought back memories of the 70’s. However, equally entertaining was the history of the songs. Debbie kept us entertained and on the edge of our seats throughout the performance.
What a great tribute to the Carpenters. I feel the vocals could have been a little bit louder at times, but spot on. We loved the show and would go again for sure! Nice to hear the story behind the song. Excellent musicians! Beautiful vocals
Great show, songs well done with interesting commentary. Enjoyed the show for the second year in a row. Will go back next year. Great way to start the holidays.
Billed as a Christmas concert (which I had heard before 4 years ago at Ruth Eckard Hall near St. Pete) I was disappointed there wasn't more Christmas numbers. The music was very well performed! Additionally, when I purchased the tickets I did not realize the venue was so small and that this was the opening concert for their tour and therefore lots of family and friends were there. So, being from Tampa, I felt like it was "old home week' and I was an outsider. Again the music was great!!
If you love the Carpenters then you will love this show. The band is loaded with with talented musicians and the song arrangements were played almost to the note. But the real story here is Debbie Taylor who sang these classic songs as if it Karen Carpenter was on stage herself, she is a true master! I would definitely recommend going, you wont be disappointed..
Singer was very talented, cultured, classy, great voice, excellent
