The game was boring. The halftime show was a joke. A high school band that couldn't be heard was a poor choice. Stadium was dirty. Portable johns throughout stadium, come on El Paso if you are going to be hosting these games, get with the times invest in your school. Fire the dean of the school, natalicio whatever her name is. She should be ashamed.

  • Sun Bowl trip was meh.

The first thing I would recomend to anyone attendingbthe Sun Bowl is to get a hotel near downtown. There is absolutely NOTHING happening near the airport. The second thing is to make sure you rent a car. Taxis are few and far between. As far as the pregame events go, there is a fanfest that is pretty boring, but has it's moments during the band competition. The fireworks show outside the convention center was pretty cool as it has a DJ playing music throughout. The rest of it was a few games for the kids and a handful of food stands. There is a "Tailgate" which had 4 or 5 food stands but not much else. Both of these events are good on paper but lack excitement. Both seemed like an elementary school carnival. The game itself was pretty cool. The stadium is in a beautiful setting that cuts into a mountain. They sell beer which was outstanding. Check around though as different stands have different pricing.

  • a blast

I go every to the game i love it. i think we need to make a family section at the game. That way we can take more families there. sometimes the drinking gets out of hand for kids to hear what comes out. i had to ask some guys to cool it for the way they were talking. i don't mind people drinking but i think we need more help in control the the seats.

  • It was Cold!

I had a great time; however, unfortunately my team lost. The Sun Bowl is situated in a unique place. The stadium is situated within a mountain, and if someone looks south of the stadium, she or he can see Mexico. The Sun Bowl staff was also helpful and everything was run well.

  • Great People!

by 28face on 1/2/13Sun Bowl Stadium - El PasoRating: 5 out of 5

It was freezing cold, but the kindness of strangers is the memory I will hold dear. We were invited to tailgating parties, people offered us food, etc. and we knew no one. My husband and I are not hip, young things, yet complete strangers in this wonderful town offerred to share whatever they had. El Paso is the best place to visit!!!! I love you guys!!! The game was a dissappointment. The best part was when the crazed fan ran across the field. Too bad it was too cold for him to streak! I love the Sunbowl and we will return.

  • TheBowl was cold.

by OneBeerBenny on 1/2/13Sun Bowl Stadium - El PasoRating: 3 out of 5

Everything with the bowl, game, and ticketing went very well. We didn't have to wait long to get in and we parked about 8 blocks away near a school. The weather was windy and a bit cold. We were dressed for it so not a big problem. I was happy with the outcome, too.

It was extremely cold outside; make sure you bring jackets, gloves, and blankets to keep warm! Other then that and the drunk people I was surrounded by, the sun bowl was fun!

  • Sun Bowl best in 78 years

by ArtChill on 1/3/12Sun Bowl Stadium - El PasoRating: 5 out of 5

Although both teams weren't ranked in the top 25, they still provided an exciting game that for the first time in Sun Bowl history went into overtime.

  • Great Value

by obilukesolo on 1/3/12Sun Bowl Stadium - El PasoRating: 5 out of 5

The Sun Bowl is a perfect place to see!! a football game, for where ever you sit you can see all the action. The focus of the Sun Bowl is on the games and not uber-luxurious ameneities. This keeps the ticket prices reasonable so that the event can be enjoyed by a diverse audience. As always the Golden Knights Rocked!!!, and B.J. Thomas was outstanding, his voice was as strong and vibrant as ever. I applaud all of the young people who participated in the halftime show for they did a great job. This event provided maximum value for my entertainment dollar. I salute the Sun Bowl Committee for a job well done. I look forward to this years Sun Bowl. GODBless us all!!!

Great game. Good teams. Well worth the money. Sun bowl needs new seating. Old benches need to go.
