About

With multiple albums released on Jagjaguwar and most recently albums on Spacebomb, including 2019's album Fear of Death with Weyes blood, Tim Heidecker has established himself as an important and critically acclaimed voice in independent music.

While maybe best known as one half of the comedy duo Tim & Eric, along with Eric Wareheim, Hediecker is a long time musician and songwriter, Heidecker played in various indie rock bands while in Philadelphia.  In high school, access to four-tracks and amplifiers came easier than hulking cameras and editing desks but now ten albums in, and numerous musical collaborations under his belt Heidecker has found his musical voice.

    Will always see Tim Heidecker

    by TvMelly on 8/26/23

Wasn’t aware of Tim’s musical talents. I guess I’m not the super fan I thought I was. Been going to see Tim (with Eric) since 08 This show was not as expected but I loved it. Rock on Tim!!

    Awesome Show but…

    by TitaniumTaxi on 8/22/23

Tim was awesome! The show was great! The Venue was cringey. So, towards the end of the show the Pageant (the Venue) allowed people to the front row, where we were and had paid $210/tiix to be there. These folks were loud, drunk and bumping into us excessively. It left a bad taste in our mouth. Finally, when you enter the Pageant your “offered” to go to the “Halo Bar” where you almost feel obligated to buy $10 drinks for the “convenience” of not standing in the elements. Tim Show - 1000/1000 aka 10/10! The Pageant - 25/1000 aka 2/10!

    Fun Wednesday Night

    by Perry on 8/8/23

We had a great time at the show. I just wish Tim did his stand-up equally as long as his music. The stand-up portion was awesome but he only went for about 30 minutes then did like 2.5 hrs of music.

    Highly underrated

    by Jash on 8/5/23

Great music and laughs and is his genuine self at points. It’s a performance art that is highly underrated and has been in the making for years. Really enjoyed the venue and overall vibe. Didn’t care for the hecklers that thought they were contributing to something funny by heckling. But whatever. It’s good to see Tim is doing really well, and is still humble, but through his songwriting lyrics, I don’t think he can be anything but humble to life.

Tim Heidecker and The Very Good Band

    by Kari Thomas on 8/3/23

We're big fans of Tim Heidecker and all his artistic endeavors. We saw the show last year in Phoenix and drove down to Tucson to see it again. We appreciated that Tim added a few new jokes and the set list was different. It's always a delight to see a performer having a great time on stage. Tim's obviously having fun. The jokes were on brand, the music was very good and we had a blast. Come back soon, Tim!

    Disappointing

    by Rusty on 8/2/23

First off, I LOVE Tim Heidecker. I am a HEI network subscriber, watch all of his comedy, and all around huge fan. So this was something I was really looking forward to. To start...I really love his "no BS"character. So the top of the show was absolutely hilarious. (It was a bummer because right when the show started, the people next to us were in the wrong seats and they blocked Tim's entire entrance while they sorted it out for 4 mins). So when he was done with his hilarious comedy set, he came out to play his music. I know we were going to be listening to his music at his show, but sadly I just wasn't a fan. It was hard to understand what he was singing. Basically each word seemed to bleed into the next. So to me, the songs themselves were just ok. I guess I was hoping for more comedy infused with music. It was the perfect opportunity for him to sing some of his comedy hits from "Oscar Fever"to "Empty Bottle"to some Tim and Eric hits. So overall, his comedy was fun, loved it. But the music was a missed opportunity and just "ok".

    Fantastic Experience

    by TaylorDB on 7/30/23

First off was surprised with a great and well-known opener - someone I was already a fan of. That was a great start! The venue itself was cool too. The main set was incredible! Everything sounded perfect in the room and the crowd was alive. Tim and The Very Good Band were so good I would love to catch them again on this same tour. Phenomenal music, and they played all three songs I most wanted to hear (Buddy, Sirens of Titan, AND Hot Piss). A+ show and an experience I will always remember.

This show featuring Tim's standup followed by a performance by the Very Good Band was great fun for all the Heideckerheads in the crowd.

    Love this man!!

by Randle_void on 8/15/22The Van Buren - Phoenix

I’ve been a fan since Tom goes to the mayor of everything Mr. Heidecker has done. This was such a great treat for his fans of not just his comedy but his music as well. I love both sides of Tim and I can’t wait to see him again.

    Disappointing

    by Decker on 8/5/22

Been a fan of Tim's work for a while and jumped at the chance to see him live. Show was a 30 minute comedy set followed by an hour plus of him and his band playing. To me the comedy set was boring and got me to laugh maybe twice. Relied on repetition of fumbling with the mic, mispronouncing words and checking a piece of paper he had. If you are a fan of Tim from watching Tim and Eric, On Cinema, or any of his other character works, you may not like the comedy set. The band was good but Tim's skills as a frontman/singer are limited. Picture your dad's friends' band that is playing a gig at the local open mic.
