  • Fun and Quirky

by LKC on 5/19/25Crystal Ballroom at Somerville Theatre - SomervilleRating: 5 out of 5

This was a delightfully quirky show. There were chuckles and belly laughs throughout. For a TV taping, the rules were clear but not overly strict (sometimes worrying about cameras and the recording can be distracting). I'm really excited to see the final product when it's released!

Eugene was hilarious. Loved the show, the material was spot on, nicely balanced, sensitively handled and we laughed so hard! Can't wait to see it on HBO.

  • Great Mirman off-the-wall humor...

by stevemc on 9/9/24Neptune Theatre - SeattleRating: 5 out of 5

Having seen Mirman before at the Neptune in Seattle, we knew what we were getting in for and had a great night. It was a mix of wild anecdotes, letters of complaint, and just plain jokes. Some really great stories, such as one about a particularly specific restaurant dress code, and some of his real-life pranks (bumperstickers, unintended fun with Venmo, etc.) His opener was a stand-up comedian / poet, who was a good complement to Mirman and had some great moments, too.

  • Just okay

by Dribrats on 2/14/17Paradise Rock Club - BostonRating: 2 out of 5

The venue was not exactly what I expected. Very dark and grundgy. There was water dripping from the ceiling onto the stage. I didn't realize there would be chairs lined up (no tables or food allowed) and seating for less than half the crowd, although we had a good view. Eugene Mirman started out good but then lost my attention. I enjoyed when both comedians were out together at the beginning.

He's funny and it made the time fly. Also had a great opener and I under up having another great comedian to listen to.

  • Wish we knew Eugene was the 2nd half of the show!

We're huge fans of Eugene Mirman, but had no idea who Robyn Hitchcock was. We got to the show on time and found out that Robyn would be on first. His music was not exactly our taste, which was fine, but we would have rather seen Eugene in a solo show or at least had the option of coming in later after Robyn was finished with his set.

Solid lineup. Good sets. Decent run time in a close and comfortable venue.

Great show, all three were hilarious. Seats were great. Venue operations were not great though.

  • Truly amazing show

Thought the show would be pretty good. In actuality, it was completely unforgettable. The comedy had me in stitches, the music was dreamy, the whole thing was incredible. I'll be there again next year.
