Tim Allen on Tour
However busy he may be as one of comedy's biggest stars on screens big and small, Tim Allen stays true to his stand-up roots. Audiences for his live performances are just as eager to show their appreciation for his warm, wry and sometimes wild take on life in America, raising families and getting older.
Allen has honed his signature brand of observational comedy since he began earning laughs in clubs in the mid '70s. One of the most iconic performers to emerge from the Comedy Store in Los Angeles, he rose through the ranks in the '80s before finding fame on Home Improvement, his long-running ABC sitcom. His engaging and hilarious performances as Buzz Lightyear in Toy Story and hapless dad Scott Calvin in The Santa Clause led to two of Hollywood's most popular family-movie franchises. In 2011, he returned to television as the star of Last Man Standing, another hit sitcom that began its eighth season in 2020.
A series of live shows to promote his 2010 film Crazy on the Outside led to a renaissance for Allen's stand-up career and his first stand in Las Vegas since 1993. He continues to regularly perform in venues all over the US.
Who is Tim Allen?
A star at home on both screen and stage, Tim Allen has been a favorite of audiences ever since he broke out of the pack of future greats who found their voices at Los Angeles' iconic Comedy Store in the '80s.
Born in Colorado and raised in Michigan, Allen began his comedy career in clubs and on cable-access shows in the Detroit area in the mid '70s. After overcoming personal troubles and moving to Los Angeles, he soon became known for a sharp brand of observational humor that reflected his everyman perspective and was anything but politically correct. Allen found another means of showcasing his wry take on love, marriage and family life when his sitcom Home Improvement began its hugely successful run on ABC in 1991. His star rose higher with his performances in Toy Story and The Santa Clause, two big-screen family hits that spawned blockbuster franchises.
His other film credits include Christmas with the Kranks, Zoom, Crazy on the Outside and The Shaggy Dog. His two books Don't Stand Too Close to a Naked Man and I'm Not Really Here were bestsellers. In 2011, he returned to television to star in Last Man Standing, another long-running hit sitcom. Allen continues to perform live for audiences throughout the US.

Attempted to enjoy Tim Allen but two overly Obnoxious, belligerent drunk guys who were threatening to fight everyone in our section made it impossible to hear and/or even enjoy the show. They were sitting directly behind us. We requested security handle the matter multiple times and after about 45 minutes, they were finally removed. By then, it was difficult to find enjoyment while trying to catch up on the “story” in Tim’s stand up routine. We love Tim but wish the venue would have acted sooner so the remainder of the paying guests could enjoy the show.
I've always been a fan of Tim Allen, loved home improvement and last man standing on TV, really enjoyed his movies on the big screen also. This was my first time seeing his stand up. He was hilarious!! Such a great comedian, so polished and professional. I would definitely recommend going to see him live!! I hope he comes back to this area again, I'll definitely be buying tickets to another one of his shows!!
Tim Allen was such a great show. I highly recommend if you have a chance.
After seeing him in my favorite sitcom Home Improvement and countless movies, it was good to see his stand up is as funny as ever. The time flew by.
From the warm up comedian to the last sentence that Tim finished with there was riotous laughter. While there was some heckling from the audience he handled it well It was a great evening oh joy with so much negativity going on in the world
The only good thing about the show was the opening act, he was actually funny. Tim Allen, was stale, forced, and acted like he had no idea he was supposed to make people laugh. His jokes were reminiscent of a 11 year old that just learned his first cuss word. He was rude to the audience and never engaged the room at all. Evidently the writers for his TV shows and movies hold the actual comedic talent. All we heard after the show was how surprised and disappointed everyone was. A total waste of time and money.
My husband and I loved the show. Laughed constantly. The comedian who came out first was wonderful, he set the tone. Then the great Tim Allen came on and constant laughter. Hearing about antics of him growing up brought back memories of me and my brother. We both had a wonderful evening!! We would definitely go see him again!!!
The show and our seating was great! My only complaint was that lack of bars / drinks upstairs. There were 2 small bars upstairs and they were not being utilized. The small bar in the corner upstairs was overwhelmed and had a line out the door.
He was excellent and I hope he comes back again. The opening comic was great too.
Such a fun experience! Tim was engaging and hilarious the entire time. We were keeled over laughing so hard at his stories! So happy we got to see him!
Tim Allen and his warm-up were consummate professionals and delivered flawless world-class comedy. The venue was superb, but, as always with "the older crowd,"more handicapped parking was in order. It was amusing to hear that Mr. Allen downplays his TV and movie career in favor of stand-up. The thing is ... he's brilliant in both.
Went on a double date with my cousin the show was epic!!! Had so much fun
We really enjoyed both Tim and the headliner. Life is hard and laughter is the best medicine. The venue was nice as well.
Even though we were some of the younger people in the audience, we found ourselves laughing for the entire show. It was a great night!
Wow what a great show can't wait to see him again. Love the venue and was easy to get in and out very organized.
Had a wonderful night of comedy at the Hard Rock Casino. Tim Allen put on an hilarious show, but he had to follow some stiff competition. The show opener (Lowell Sanders) was super funny in his own right. I would definitely pay to see this show again, absolutely loved it!!!
Lowell, Tim's opening act was really funny. I was laughing the entire time. Tim on the other hand was mediocre ... definitely not worth the price paid. His jokes just took too long to develop. By the time he got to the "punch line"it wasn't really all that funny. Unless you just want to see Tim Allen to see him in person, would be a pass for me next time.
I have been a Tim Allen fan back when Tool Time started. I had not seen his stand up before, but always wondered how he came up with his TV and movie persona. His opening act Lowell Sanders is way funny also, he should do about 10 more minutes. Now don’t take away from Tim’s portion it seemed short as we were laughing the whole time. Good time and funny stuff!!!
Tim’s show was fun. It was reminiscent of an old school Robin Williams. A stream of consciousness dialogue. He mostly left politics out which is fine. I was happy to give money to a conservative voice for a change. Story about popping grandma with a BB gun was funny. Overall fun but it’s an hour and he’s off.
