About

Tim Allen on Tour

However busy he may be as one of comedy's biggest stars on screens big and small, Tim Allen stays true to his stand-up roots. Audiences for his live performances are just as eager to show their appreciation for his warm, wry and sometimes wild take on life in America, raising families and getting older.

Allen has honed his signature brand of observational comedy since he began earning laughs in clubs in the mid '70s. One of the most iconic performers to emerge from the Comedy Store in Los Angeles, he rose through the ranks in the '80s before finding fame on Home Improvement, his long-running ABC sitcom. His engaging and hilarious performances as Buzz Lightyear in Toy Story and hapless dad Scott Calvin in The Santa Clause led to two of Hollywood's most popular family-movie franchises. In 2011, he returned to television as the star of Last Man Standing, another hit sitcom that began its eighth season in 2020.

A series of live shows to promote his 2010 film Crazy on the Outside led to a renaissance for Allen's stand-up career and his first stand in Las Vegas since 1993. He continues to regularly perform in venues all over the US.

Who is Tim Allen?

A star at home on both screen and stage, Tim Allen has been a favorite of audiences ever since he broke out of the pack of future greats who found their voices at Los Angeles' iconic Comedy Store in the '80s.

Born in Colorado and raised in Michigan, Allen began his comedy career in clubs and on cable-access shows in the Detroit area in the mid '70s. After overcoming personal troubles and moving to Los Angeles, he soon became known for a sharp brand of observational humor that reflected his everyman perspective and was anything but politically correct. Allen found another means of showcasing his wry take on love, marriage and family life when his sitcom Home Improvement began its hugely successful run on ABC in 1991. His star rose higher with his performances in Toy Story and The Santa Clause, two big-screen family hits that spawned blockbuster franchises.

His other film credits include Christmas with the Kranks, Zoom, Crazy on the Outside and The Shaggy Dog. His two books Don't Stand Too Close to a Naked Man and I'm Not Really Here were bestsellers. In 2011, he returned to television to star in Last Man Standing, another long-running hit sitcom. Allen continues to perform live for audiences throughout the US.

  • Tim Allen had lots of energy

If you like lots of swearing, then you'd like this show. We did laugh and his general attitude towards all kinds of things in life that we all face was funny. I just couldn't get past all the swear words -- so unnecessary to get his point across.

  • Tim Allen is great

My first time EVER seeing a show and I chose to see Tim Allen. He was great... Funny, and so true life of the old school growing up. He spent the hour touching a wide variety of subjects and nailed it on every one of them... I'm still smiling. Great Job Tim.. You still got it.

  • Tim Allen's still got it!

Laughed non-stop! Great show!! Some foul language, but did not bother us in the least. Such a natural born comedian!

He wasn't what I expected, but in a good way! Was expecting more of a family man, he threw out some choice words, but he was awesome and hilarious!! LOVE Tim Allen!

Tim was funny enough, but he ended abruptly., he rushed off like he had something to do! Personally I thought his opening act, Sanders, was hilarious!

  • Tim Allen is a genius!

I haven't laughed so hard in years. Best money I ever spent.

  • Love Tim Allen, but...

by Jokimcow on 11/13/14Venetian Theatre at the Venetian Las Vegas - Las VegasRating: 3 out of 5

Absolutely LOVED Lowell Sanders that came out before Tim Allen. He was hilarious and I will gladly buy tickets to see him. Allen's humor was angry, directed a lot at women and full of F bombs. I am no prude either, but this was totally unnecessary and served no purpose. Go see Terry Fator, his humor is great. I think it takes more talent to be funny with clean humor than sexual or vulgar humor. I have to say I was disappointed.

So damn funny! I can't wait to see if he puts a cd or dvd out so i can hear it all again.

  • This was a great event.

Tim Allen did a great job. We enjoy his humor and presentation. He is down to earth and jokes of real life events and situations and current events. The pre-comic did a great job too. He was very funny and did a good warm up for Tim Allen.

  • Great Show!

Tim Allen was awesome! He was much more adult than I expected but I'm so used to seeing him with kids and in kid movies. He was very funny!

  • Laughed till I cried

by Bluey66 on 11/11/14Venetian Theatre at the Venetian Las Vegas - Las VegasRating: 5 out of 5

Tim Allen is so funny live. He's just like Tim 'the toolman' Taylor but ruder!! His telling of his early life, growing up and finding things out, as boys do, was hilarious. My only complaint was that he was only on for an hour. And at the prices we were charged, this should have been reflected. But would recommend seeing him.

  • Fun

Great opening act and performance. We had a great time.

  • Really stunk it up

by VickiMMM on 10/30/14Emerald Queen Casino - TacomaRating: 1 out of 5

I was very disappointed with what I thought would be a fun night out. Can't believe he would need to resort to fart jokes and continous swearing. Not as personable as his TV persona! Save your money

  • Tim Allen was Hysterical

by Laughseeker on 10/25/14Emerald Queen Casino - TacomaRating: 5 out of 5

Tim Allen was truly the best show I've seen in years! My husband and I laughed so hard our sides hurt by the time we left! I bought the tickets as an early birthday present for my husband and it was a huge hit!
