About

Tim Allen on Tour

However busy he may be as one of comedy's biggest stars on screens big and small, Tim Allen stays true to his stand-up roots. Audiences for his live performances are just as eager to show their appreciation for his warm, wry and sometimes wild take on life in America, raising families and getting older.

Allen has honed his signature brand of observational comedy since he began earning laughs in clubs in the mid '70s. One of the most iconic performers to emerge from the Comedy Store in Los Angeles, he rose through the ranks in the '80s before finding fame on Home Improvement, his long-running ABC sitcom. His engaging and hilarious performances as Buzz Lightyear in Toy Story and hapless dad Scott Calvin in The Santa Clause led to two of Hollywood's most popular family-movie franchises. In 2011, he returned to television as the star of Last Man Standing, another hit sitcom that began its eighth season in 2020.

A series of live shows to promote his 2010 film Crazy on the Outside led to a renaissance for Allen's stand-up career and his first stand in Las Vegas since 1993. He continues to regularly perform in venues all over the US.

Who is Tim Allen?

A star at home on both screen and stage, Tim Allen has been a favorite of audiences ever since he broke out of the pack of future greats who found their voices at Los Angeles' iconic Comedy Store in the '80s.

Born in Colorado and raised in Michigan, Allen began his comedy career in clubs and on cable-access shows in the Detroit area in the mid '70s. After overcoming personal troubles and moving to Los Angeles, he soon became known for a sharp brand of observational humor that reflected his everyman perspective and was anything but politically correct. Allen found another means of showcasing his wry take on love, marriage and family life when his sitcom Home Improvement began its hugely successful run on ABC in 1991. His star rose higher with his performances in Toy Story and The Santa Clause, two big-screen family hits that spawned blockbuster franchises.

His other film credits include Christmas with the Kranks, Zoom, Crazy on the Outside and The Shaggy Dog. His two books Don't Stand Too Close to a Naked Man and I'm Not Really Here were bestsellers. In 2011, he returned to television to star in Last Man Standing, another long-running hit sitcom. Allen continues to perform live for audiences throughout the US.

It was good, went with a group and all was very happy. The opener was very good. I would pay to see hi again

  • Too much f word

    by Cherylb1872 on 10/18/16Emerald Queen Casino - TacomaRating: 3 out of 5

We LOVE Tim Allen! We were so excited too see him for the 1st time! We didn't expect him to use the f word every other word. It was a real turn-off. He's so stinkin funny, he doesn't need to talk like that, it doesn't make his jokes any funnier. We drop the f bomb occasionally, but it was pretty extreme. Then he complained about being in Disney movies and how he hates his kids. He actually said, "I hate my kid! I hate your kid! I hate all kids!" We get that he's a comedian, but his material wasn't very tasteful. I don't think we'll be going to see him again. Especially at the Emerald Queen Casino. The seats are too close together, and you can't see. Just not our favorite event.

  • Tim was all we expected and more

by GOWMU on 10/18/16Emerald Queen Casino - TacomaRating: 5 out of 5

We never attended Tim Allen stand up comedy. Fan of his shows and movies. His comedy was timely and memorable. Not political like many comedians. We laughed from beginning to end.

  • Tim was funny, but...

by Anonymous on 10/18/16Emerald Queen Casino - TacomaRating: 3 out of 5

Tim Allen was funny, if you like crude, vulgar stuff. I do... But, the venue wasn't much to jump up and down about. A tent with a slightly sloped floor, gave the view of others heads better than of Tim.

  • Funny - but every other word is a swear word!

    by Krafty119 on 10/18/16Emerald Queen Casino - TacomaRating: 3 out of 5

You see Tim Allen on TV all the time - HE IS NOT THAT GUY LIVE. He is funny, yes. But every other word is swearing - and it gets old. It was almost like he was not into being there, and just running thru motions. He did make us laugh. My Husband enjoyed him.

  • Tim Allen was a great disappointment

by happymike47 on 10/16/16Terry Fator Theatre at Mirage Hotel and Casino - Las VegasRating: 1 out of 5

The image I had of Tim Allen has now completely changed. His performance at the Mirage in Las Vegas was the most vulgar I have ever heard. It is now very clear that his TV shows are all about his ability to act and convince audiences that he is a great family man. His first words were that he hated children, even his own. Then he continued to make fun of special needs children by calling them retarded. Maybe some people think that such behavior and vulgarity is entertainment but not in my opinion. I honestly thought from watching Last Man Standing that he held some of the same views that I myself held as a family man and a Christian. I will never watch anything he ever performs in again. Not that it will ever matter to him. This review is not a reflection on the Terry Fator Theater, which is a beautiful place with excellent seating.

Tim Allen was great! It was the highlight of this trip to Vegas for my birthday and our Anniversary. Talking about his notoriety and his childhood was hilarious. He's a funny guy and very talented! Loved it.

  • Tim Allen at his best!

by Anonymous on 8/5/16Terry Fator Theatre at Mirage Hotel and Casino - Las VegasRating: 5 out of 5

Have been a huge fan for many years! I'll admit the show started off somewhat disappointing at first but as he went on, it got much better! Tim had great stories and tells it like it is! I like that!!

  • Lots of fun!

by MusicFan556698030 on 8/2/16Terry Fator Theatre at Mirage Hotel and Casino - Las VegasRating: 4 out of 5

Tim Allen did what was expected, make you laugh about topics such as family, men and women, human behavior, and fart jokes. If you're a fan of his show Home Improvement you will likely have a good time at the show, though he does curse a lot so be aware of that if you want to bring kids, parents, ect.

  • Great show

Show was great! Venue is fantastic also. I would highly recommend this facility.

  • Tim Allen - Stand Up Comedy 2016

by Debbilinn on 5/24/16The Colosseum at Caesars Windsor - WindsorRating: 3 out of 5

I have enjoyed watching Tim Allen in the movies and on TV. Was not a fan of the stage. His over-use of profanity and blasphemy would not be necessary if he had good material. Most father's would punch someone in the nose for speaking about their seven-year old daughter they way he spoke about his. Even Louis CK seems to have some level of caring for his kids. It was disappointing to see the angry guy he presented. I expected more polish and more laughs. I still love him and hope that he will hire new writers for his next show.

  • Tim Allen comedy show

by Anonymous on 5/23/16The Colosseum at Caesars Windsor - WindsorRating: 5 out of 5

What a fabulous show! His jokes related to real life situations but were made hysterically funny. If was definitely adult related material. It was very enjoyable and would recommend his show if you want an evening of laughs.

  • A must see show

by dynachick on 5/23/16The Colosseum at Caesars Windsor - WindsorRating: 5 out of 5

This was one of the funniest shows I have seen. Tim Allens sense of humor had us laughing till we cried. I would suggest that if you have an opportunity to see his show definitely go see it, it was worth every penny spent

  • Tim Allen's comedy

by marric7 on 5/23/16The Colosseum at Caesars Windsor - WindsorRating: 2 out of 5

I'm sorry to say I was not impressed with Tim. I had so looked forward to seeing his show. I'm not a fan of comics using so much profanity mixed in with their 'humor'. I was very disappointed, as I watch his re-broadcasts on TV every night. People were walking out early. I don't know if he could see that from the stage. It's a shame he has to resort to the "F" and "S" words so much. He's a wonderful actor and even the younger people around me weren't laughing. I'm so sorry to have to write this about him. I was so looking forward to seeing him that I came by myself and with the border crossing-didn't get home till 1:00 a.m. I look forward to the next offering of entertainers though and hope I won't be disappointed. It's just such a shame, because I love, love, love his TV series. He can do better with a cleaner vocab.

  • Tim Allen Disappointing

by slicksha on 5/23/16The Colosseum at Caesars Windsor - WindsorRating: 2 out of 5

I'm sorry to say that my husband and I did not enjoy Tim Allen's show like we thought we would. We LOVE his TV show Last Man Standing and the humor on this show is top notch; not so much in his stand-up routine. Some of his material was distasteful (and I'm not talking about politically incorrect, but distasteful). After awhile, we saw many couples get up, leave and not return. This is never a good statement.

  • needs to get new material

by Fan12 on 5/23/16The Colosseum at Caesars Windsor - WindsorRating: 3 out of 5

show was very old and out dated. while it was funny, had heard it before. really needs to find new stuff to talk about other than reflecting on the pass.
