Tim Allen on Tour
However busy he may be as one of comedy's biggest stars on screens big and small, Tim Allen stays true to his stand-up roots. Audiences for his live performances are just as eager to show their appreciation for his warm, wry and sometimes wild take on life in America, raising families and getting older.
Allen has honed his signature brand of observational comedy since he began earning laughs in clubs in the mid '70s. One of the most iconic performers to emerge from the Comedy Store in Los Angeles, he rose through the ranks in the '80s before finding fame on Home Improvement, his long-running ABC sitcom. His engaging and hilarious performances as Buzz Lightyear in Toy Story and hapless dad Scott Calvin in The Santa Clause led to two of Hollywood's most popular family-movie franchises. In 2011, he returned to television as the star of Last Man Standing, another hit sitcom that began its eighth season in 2020.
A series of live shows to promote his 2010 film Crazy on the Outside led to a renaissance for Allen's stand-up career and his first stand in Las Vegas since 1993. He continues to regularly perform in venues all over the US.
Who is Tim Allen?
A star at home on both screen and stage, Tim Allen has been a favorite of audiences ever since he broke out of the pack of future greats who found their voices at Los Angeles' iconic Comedy Store in the '80s.
Born in Colorado and raised in Michigan, Allen began his comedy career in clubs and on cable-access shows in the Detroit area in the mid '70s. After overcoming personal troubles and moving to Los Angeles, he soon became known for a sharp brand of observational humor that reflected his everyman perspective and was anything but politically correct. Allen found another means of showcasing his wry take on love, marriage and family life when his sitcom Home Improvement began its hugely successful run on ABC in 1991. His star rose higher with his performances in Toy Story and The Santa Clause, two big-screen family hits that spawned blockbuster franchises.
His other film credits include Christmas with the Kranks, Zoom, Crazy on the Outside and The Shaggy Dog. His two books Don't Stand Too Close to a Naked Man and I'm Not Really Here were bestsellers. In 2011, he returned to television to star in Last Man Standing, another long-running hit sitcom. Allen continues to perform live for audiences throughout the US.
Liked the show for the most part. Didn’t get the part about shooting his gramma
Was fun to laugh at everyday situations through a comics eyes. Only bummer was you could tell he was fighting to keep it as PC as possible. Having to explain things like a don’t sue me clause.
For health reasons could not attend. These tickets were not allowed to be resold😩Waste of my money
I was expecting the Tim Allen I have enjoyed for years…… instead he was extremely foul…. He just wasn’t what I thought
Loved Tim Allen and his opening comedian. Would definitely go see him again.
Been looking forward to this event for months as I am a big Tim Allen fan. Unfortunately, He is better on screen than in an actual stand up comic roll. I would not spend my hard earned money to see him again but I will watch his movies and sitcoms over and over.
The show good but between both comedians it was a little under 1.5 hours. Not really worth the money in my opinion.
Tim Allen put on an excellent show. The venue was very cramped and chairs uncomfortable. In all excellent show!
Enjoyed the opening act and Tim Allen. The venue was better than we expected although the chairs got really uncomfortable after a while. They also need a better sound system. It was hard to see the stage so we relied on the projector screen and the audio that came with it. It became hard to hear the artist when the crowd claps or talks too loudly.
The show was great but the seats were really uncomfortable. Folding chair seating that were locked together made it hard to sit and enjoy the show to it's fullest.
Tim was typical Tim Allen, with lots of “F” words mixed in. I would go see him again but try to get seats closer to him. If you wear hearing aids it’s a challenge to hear everything going on.
"Tim the Toolman Taylor" no longer exists. Tim Allen's act was crude, filled with "F" bombs, and, well, not funny.
Great concert! His opening act (Lowell Sanders) was awesome too. As for the venue, we were packed in there pretty tight. Not much elbow room. Still well worth it!
Tim Allen was funny but used F bomb a lot. Opening act, Lowell Sanders, was hysterical. I missed Lowell's song he started with because I was in lobby but my husband said it was really good too.
I wish I would have never spent the mo ey to watch a guy who I thought was a great human being prove he is not. Every other word was the F bomb and he just seemed mad at the world. I was terribly disappointed I wasted $200 to see him.
He was Fantastic. I wish it was longer. I laughed to tears. Would love to see him again. The guy who came out first was very funny too!
We were hoping to be closer to the stage than we were. My husband is disabled so it was hard for him to see the stage. Drinks were expensive and there was no snacks.
I haven’t laughed that hard in a really long time. Thanks Tim for such a great show.
The theatre seating is small so if you have someone large next to you, it won’t be comfortable. It was a full show and the place got hot fast. They need to turn the air on early. For the show itself, the opening act was good. Tim Allen did about an hour and I just didn’t relate to most of it. I brought my parents and they loved it, so maybe for an older crowd. Still had a good time overall, but wouldn’t see him again.
The opening comedian was funnier than Tim Tim keep your day job
