Emmy & Grammy award winner Tiffany Haddish has established herself as one of the most sought-after comedic actresses and performers worldwide. Haddish can next be seen returning as Detective Danner in the second season of AppleTV's critically acclaimed murder mystery series The Afterparty which premieres on July 12. She will also star alongside Owen Wilson, Danny Devito and Jamie Lee Curtis in Disney's highly anticipated Haunted Mansion, which will release in theaters July 28. She also stars in the upcoming film Back on the Strip which will premiere in theaters and MGM's Landscape With Invisible Hand, an adaption of MT Anderson's futuristic sci-fi novel, which premiered at Sundance in January 2023. Both films will be released in theaters on August 18th. She recently starred in Lionsgate's The Unbearable Weight of Massive Talent opposite Nicholas Cage, Universal's Easter Sunday as well as voicing Tuca Adult Swim's Tuca & Bertie and Hulu's Solar Opposites, where she voices Aisha.
Other recent projects include starring opposite Oscar Isaac in the critically acclaimed Paul Schrader film The Card Counter, On the Count of Three, alongside Jerrod Carmichael and Netflix's critically acclaimed Bad Trip, starring alongside Eric Andre and Lil Rel Howery. Projects in development include Down Undercover, opposite Chris Hemsworth, Mystery Girl, Homecoming Queen and The Untitled Flo Jo Biopic.
Haddish is perhaps best known for her breakout role in the smash comedy Girls Trip, where she starred as the scene-stealing "Dina" alongside Jada Pinkett Smith, Queen Latifah, and Regina Hall. Her other film and television work include Here Today, Like A Boss, The Kitchen, Between Two Ferns: The Movie, The Spongebob Squarepants Movie: Sponge on the Run, The Secret Life of Pets 2, The Lego Movie 2: The Second Part, The Angry Birds Movie 2, Night School, Nobody's Fool, The Oath, hosting both Kids Say the Darndest Things and TBS' Friday Night Vibes, Self-Made: Inspired by the Life of Madam CJ Walker, The Last O.G. and The Carmichael Show. Haddish also served as host and executive producer of the Emmy-nominated Netflix stand-up comedy series Tiffany Haddish Presents: They Ready. The series of half-hour comedy specials featuring her friends and long-time comedic collaborators ran for two seasons.
Her Emmy-nominated and Grammy-winning comedy special, Tiffany Haddish: Black Mitzvah, debuted on Netflix in December 2019. Haddish became the second black woman ever to win a Grammy for Outstanding Comedy Album and the first since Whoopi Goldberg won in 1986. Her first stand-up special, Tiffany Haddish: She Ready! From the Hood to Hollywood was released on Showtime in August 2017. Just three months after the special's release, Haddish made history by becoming the first black female stand-up comedian to host Saturday Night Live, which earned her the 2018 Emmy Award for "Outstanding Guest Actress in a Comedy Series." In June 2018, Haddish took the reins as the host of the MTV Movie and TV Awards, a role that earned her critical acclaim and significant ratings boost for MTV.
Haddish's first book, a memoir called The Last Black Unicorn, was released in 2018. The book made the New York Times Best Sellers List, and the companion audiobook, narrated by Haddish, was nominated for a 2019 Grammy Award for "Spoken Word Album." In 2022 Haddish released her debut picture book Layla, The Last Black Unicorn.
Haddish's journey and life experiences have inspired her comedy and sense of humor both on and off the stage. She has been very candid about her experiences growing up in foster care in South Central Los Angeles. Her excessive talking and imaginary friends prompted her flustered social worker to steer her into stand-up comedy. She enrolled in the Laugh Factory's Comedy Camp, a place for at-risk and underprivileged children to transform negative energy into something positive. The experience was just the beginning of her comedy career. Haddish recently founded The She Ready Foundation to help and support foster kids in need. In 2021 The She Ready Foundation launched an Internship Program with Ready To Succeed for foster youth in the SoCal area.
She currently lives in Los Angeles.
My seat sucked for 100$ bucks. The people that were in the bottom part of the arena had free tickets they probably was able to see more than I did. . Arena was ghetto. I expected more from hard rock they were seating people in the middle and end of the show which sucked because they were in the way. Couldn't hear the jokes.
It was a good show. Tiffany needs more material because she ran out of jokes n stories to tell. And answering questions I didn’t come for questions and answers
Tiffany was great as always! 2nd time seeing her live. But first time in more of an intimate venue - love it! And her opener was great as well!
Tiffany Haddish was amazing and it was an excellent show
This is one of the nicest comedy venues we've been to. Located in the Arden neighborhood of Sacramento, there's plenty of parking and easy access to the second floor via stairs/elevator. We were able to check-in and wait in the adjacent bar (no standing in line), then they came to let us in through another entrance, ahead of others. Once seated (good views from all round), our server came by and took orders for food/drink (2 drink minimum). Everything was served quickly. Show with opening comedian and Tiffany Haddish was great, comfortable (PA system, ventilation, etc.) and enjoyable. Plenty of post-show dining options in the area. Overall, a fun evening!
The fact that the house was packed & my wife and I were seated at the same table with 2 other patrons placed between us. I get it, you have to make the most out of the space, but it only makes sense to pair couples tickets, that were purchased as a set of 2, would be seated next to each other. The people were cool about it and we swapped positions so they weren't sandwiched between my wife & I. Other than that, staff was really friendly and efficient with our drinks & Tiffany did her thing on stage!
Tiffany definitely surprised me with her live stand up. She rock it wirhout a doubt!!!
I love her even more after seeing her in person. She is super funny and an incredibly wonderful human being.
I thought the tickets were pricey but I’m glad I went. Tiffany Haddish did not disappoint, she was hilarious. I laughed from beginning to end. I would definitely go see her again.
We laughed from the opening act to the end of her set. We feel so fortunate to have been able to see Tiffany Haddish locally, and we are always in awe of her natural abilty to entertain and uplift. She's FANTASTIC!
Tiffany Haddish was not funny. The opening acts were much better and Godfrey he killed it now he was funny I remember his jokes but can't recall any of hers. I had heard that she wasn't funny as a stand up but I had to go see for myself,
Tiffany was dry and nothing she said was funny. I enjoyed her sideliners much better!
Great venue, terrible lines...godfrey,marlo, and Ashleigh were hilarious. Tiffany was outrageously funny!!!! Meeting her was amazing. So warm, down to earth and friendly. I would do it again in a heartbeat. So worth it!
Loved Tiffany’s part of the show. Was not happy about having to lock up my phone when I paid so much money. I’ve seen Tiffany 3 times. This is the 1st time I could not take any pictures to share on social media to encourage people to continue to support this talented, beautiful, and intelligent young lady. Loved the show but not sure I’ll see her again as the main billing.
Tiffany Haddish performance was terrible. She only talked about sex jokes which is now a thing of the past. I recommend she should just perform on the movie screens and let the pros do a comedy show at a big venue.
All the comedians were great. Tiffany was amazing. She is so down to earth and very open and hilarious. I will definitely go see her again.
The opening Acts were extremely funny.Tiffany did her thing also but I prefer her on the Big Screen. I will support you Sister whatever you decide to pursue.
The show was all around great the host put on a great show the DJ was on point and Tiff was hilarious definitely will be coming back to see her worth the money.
The show was great. Venue beautiful but cold. The D.J. really set the mood. The crowd was responsive. I especially appreciated the phone lock as it enhanced the entire experience.
Tiffany Haddish was just ok; not as funny as her Netflix show. Her opening acts were great. But she did leave my friends and I with funny things to think about of everyday life. Guess she actually made a lasting impression 😊
