About

Emmy & Grammy award winner Tiffany Haddish has established herself as one of the most sought-after comedic actresses and performers worldwide. Haddish can next be seen returning as Detective Danner in the second season of AppleTV's critically acclaimed murder mystery series The Afterparty which premieres on July 12. She will also star alongside Owen Wilson, Danny Devito and Jamie Lee Curtis in Disney's highly anticipated Haunted Mansion, which will release in theaters July 28. She also stars in the upcoming film Back on the Strip which will premiere in theaters and MGM's Landscape With Invisible Hand, an adaption of MT Anderson's futuristic sci-fi novel, which premiered at Sundance in January 2023. Both films will be released in theaters on August 18th. She recently starred in Lionsgate's The Unbearable Weight of Massive Talent opposite Nicholas Cage, Universal's Easter Sunday as well as voicing Tuca Adult Swim's Tuca & Bertie and Hulu's Solar Opposites, where she voices Aisha.

Other recent projects include starring opposite Oscar Isaac in the critically acclaimed Paul Schrader film The Card Counter, On the Count of Three, alongside Jerrod Carmichael and Netflix's critically acclaimed Bad Trip, starring alongside Eric Andre and Lil Rel Howery. Projects in development include Down Undercover, opposite Chris Hemsworth, Mystery Girl, Homecoming Queen and The Untitled Flo Jo Biopic.

Haddish is perhaps best known for her breakout role in the smash comedy Girls Trip, where she starred as the scene-stealing "Dina" alongside Jada Pinkett Smith, Queen Latifah, and Regina Hall. Her other film and television work include Here Today, Like A Boss, The Kitchen, Between Two Ferns: The Movie, The Spongebob Squarepants Movie: Sponge on the Run, The Secret Life of Pets 2, The Lego Movie 2: The Second Part, The Angry Birds Movie 2, Night School, Nobody's Fool, The Oath, hosting both Kids Say the Darndest Things and TBS' Friday Night Vibes, Self-Made: Inspired by the Life of Madam CJ Walker, The Last O.G. and The Carmichael Show. Haddish also served as host and executive producer of the Emmy-nominated Netflix stand-up comedy series Tiffany Haddish Presents: They Ready. The series of half-hour comedy specials featuring her friends and long-time comedic collaborators ran for two seasons.

Her Emmy-nominated and Grammy-winning comedy special, Tiffany Haddish: Black Mitzvah, debuted on Netflix in December 2019. Haddish became the second black woman ever to win a Grammy for Outstanding Comedy Album and the first since Whoopi Goldberg won in 1986. Her first stand-up special, Tiffany Haddish: She Ready! From the Hood to Hollywood was released on Showtime in August 2017. Just three months after the special's release, Haddish made history by becoming the first black female stand-up comedian to host Saturday Night Live, which earned her the 2018 Emmy Award for "Outstanding Guest Actress in a Comedy Series."  In June 2018, Haddish took the reins as the host of the MTV Movie and TV Awards, a role that earned her critical acclaim and significant ratings boost for MTV.

Haddish's first book, a memoir called The Last Black Unicorn, was released in 2018. The book made the New York Times Best Sellers List, and the companion audiobook, narrated by Haddish, was nominated for a 2019 Grammy Award for "Spoken Word Album." In 2022 Haddish released her debut picture book Layla, The Last Black Unicorn.

Haddish's journey and life experiences have inspired her comedy and sense of humor both on and off the stage.  She has been very candid about her experiences growing up in foster care in South Central Los Angeles. Her excessive talking and imaginary friends prompted her flustered social worker to steer her into stand-up comedy.  She enrolled in the Laugh Factory's Comedy Camp, a place for at-risk and underprivileged children to transform negative energy into something positive. The experience was just the beginning of her comedy career. Haddish recently founded The She Ready Foundation to help and support foster kids in need. In 2021 The She Ready Foundation launched an Internship Program with Ready To Succeed for foster youth in the SoCal area.

She currently lives in Los Angeles.

    Just Not Funny

by Proud Xaymacan on 3/3/20The Theater at MGM National Harbor - National Harbor

I attended this show because of Tiffany's personality as she comes off in TV/Radio interviews. I wanted so badly to laugh at her jokes but they were just not funny. I gave 2 stars because all the other comedians on the show were exceptionally funny and left us laughing and in some instances wetting ourselves. Tiffany should just stick to TV and Film. No more Stand-up Tiff!!!

Will never go to another Tiffany Haddish show. Phones were placed in a magnetic bag. Show was not good enough for all that trouble. Lines were unorganized. She needs assistance with her writing

    Frustrated and disappointed

by Charlie on 3/3/20The Theater at MGM National Harbor - National Harbor

We had to wait in an extremely long line that was eventually broken into two lines: one for will call and one for those with tickets. Even though we had mobile tickets we had to stand in line to get a paper ticket. Then after getting back in the line for entry had to wait to secure a pod for our phone since this was phoneless event, which it was not advertised as such. Very daunting experience. I was frustrated by the time I made it to my seat, which was half way through the first comedian’s set.

Do not waste your time and money

by J. H. on 3/3/20The Theater at MGM National Harbor - National Harbor

I was a big fan of Tiffany until I attended her live show at MGM. Tiffany’s was Absolutely the worst live show I’ve seen. On the upside her DJ and her host Godfrey were great. Godfrey is an excellent stand up comedian.

    Terrible

by Cycling on 3/3/20The Theater at MGM National Harbor - National Harbor

We had to wait in will call line to get tickets i paid for back in Dec 2019. Then you had to wait in another line to get in to the show. The show started at 8pm but the problem was you had to put your phone in a pouch wich took up more time and we finally got in at 8:25pm a waste of my money and time. And after all that Tiffany was not funny

    Disappointing Comedy Show

by M. C. on 3/3/20The Theater at MGM National Harbor - National Harbor

The MC Godffrey was really good. The women including Tiffany were not funny and one was so ghetto with that cheap hair. Then they kept saying “ hey Baltimore”. They didn’t even care enough to know the audience. The comedians performed the same material they recorded on the Netflix show. It was a total waste of our time. My friends and I are very disappointed. Guests were walking out halfway through Tiffany’s set. Tiffany mentioned she already got paid and didn’t care if we didn’t like it. She was not humble or appreciative of her fans. Fool me one time shame on you. She will never get another dime of our money. Hope she gets better at stand up. I will only know through word of mouth. Such a waste of money and time. Save your money and watch on Netflix at least you can turn the channel.

    Horrible Experience and Show

by A.R on 3/3/20The Theater at MGM National Harbor - National Harbor

It was the most unorganized mess I have ever attended. Even though we got there early and picked up our tickets early from Will Call, we were forced to stand in line again with both people who came late, and people who had picked up there tickets. Because they only had one line. There were numerous people cutting in line and the employees were to afraid to do anything about it. The show should have been advertised as a “Adult R Rated Show”. We spoke with many people who were disappointed regarding the content of the shows “jokes”. It wasn’t a comedy show. For a comedian who now makes a large sum of money on a children’s show, we were disappointed that she felt the need to gyrate on the floor with money being placed on her crotch.

    not the best

by Oscar on 3/3/20The Theater at MGM National Harbor - National Harbor

Ms Haddish did not seem prepared or interested in entertaining this packed house. Several folks around my party of 10 were very very vocal about their disappointment. I spent over $1000.00 to provide my out of town guest and boy was this a mistake. Never again will I go and see her. My past 8 or 10 times I have been to MGM for concerts/entertainment have been positively wonderful.

    She NOT ready

by A. C. on 3/3/20The Theater at MGM National Harbor - National Harbor

We were excited to see Tiffany, and especially be part of the meet and greet, even though itcost almost twice as much is the ticket. However, she sold a ton of meet and greet tickets. The post show meet and greet didn’t start for almost an hour after the Comedy show ended. With a line so long, we just left. Big waste of money. Don’t do it. Good show ruined.

    Not Funny

by Fish on 3/3/20The Theater at MGM National Harbor - National Harbor

Tiffany Haddish was not funny at all. Her opening acts saved the day. She needs to have someone write her jokes. I was very disappointed. Never again. She should stick to movies.

    Totally disappointed!!!

by Johanna M on 3/1/20The Wind Creek Event Center - Bethlehem

Tiffany Haddish has allowed fame to get to her head. And make her feel too good for herself. The entire locking up of phones in bags. Is just uncalled for. My husband and I are avid stand up comedy fans. And attend all kind of shows. And not even the big guys like Jorge Lopez or Russell Peters who are more famous than she is do this kind of nonsense. The opening acts (Godfrey) and (Flame Monroe) were funnier than she was. She seemed unprepared and lacked material. Her show was not funny at all. It was all over the place and dragged out. She was more like having conversations than doing stand up. What a waste of time and money. She has a better show that we could have watched at the comfort of our home on Netflix.

by I. N. on 3/1/20The Wind Creek Event Center - Bethlehem

People had a hard time finding their seats. There were ppl seating in other people's seats. During the show there were a lot of interruptions, so I couldn't enjoy the first half of the show.

    Overrated!!

by LizMar on 3/1/20The Wind Creek Event Center - Bethlehem

Tiffany Haddish is definitely overrated!!! She talked more about her achievements than making the crowd laugh. A lot of people walked out. The only reason we didn’t walk out is because we were celebrating a friend’s bday and didn’t want to be rude to our friend. I decided to rate 2 stars instead of 1 because her opening acts were way funnier than she was. The host was our favorite. He was hilariousssss. Don’t waste time or money seeing her. Not worth it.

    Disappointed

by Chrissy on 3/1/20The Wind Creek Event Center - Bethlehem

This was a disappointing experience. Parking was a hassle with many of the open spots being blocked for valet parking. No one was directing people where to park and it was dark. After deciding to park in covered parking we had to walk through the smoke smelling casino to get to the events center where we waited in a line to be checked for weapons then waited in a disorganized crowd to get into the auditorium. Finally at our seats the chairs were uncomfortable and plastic. The show was disappointing because her Black Unicorn show was much funnier. The comedians that went on before her were good and Godfrey was great! Wouldn't do this again!!!
