These guys put on a terrific show. Well worth seeing.
These guys are the real deal. Just doing their thing on stage. Good for a midsize to small venue. Getting close to the stage is a plus.
Been following the Wood Bros for some time and they are phenomenal as ever - their lyrics, musicality and individual abilities to play multiple instruments concurrently. In a similar manner, Shovel & Rope are extremely talented and raw in a great way. Best musical event I’ve experienced in quite a while!
Great venue , The State Theater in Portland , Maine . Great show !!! Can’t wait to see them again !!
These guys are such great musicians that excel in a variety of styles that makes them genre defying - blues, funk, rock, a little country. Lyrics are so soulful, compassionately delving into life greatest joys, pains, and mysteries without ever being preaching. They performed so well, such energy, really connecting with the audience.
If I could give these guys more stars I would. Excellent venue to see and hear 5 incredible artists-the Wood Brothers and Shovel & Rope. The Wood Bros are such incredible musicians, singers and songwriters. Instead of 3 guys they sound like 10. Every note and word crisp, clear and meaningful. I’ve never enjoyed a concert more. Period.
This was my fourth time seeing The Wood Brothers and it’s always a pleasure.
The wood brothers are so talented and show their personality throughout the entire show making me want to see them again every time! Also, they have a habit of doing a song with their opening band which is amazing and very personable. Can’t wait to see them again some day!
We've seen The Wood Brothers five times in four states, and they just keep getting better! That's really saying somethin, considering even the first concert blew us away. Very few bands can match the quality of their studio recordings in live performances, much less exceed it, like these guys do. Thank you Oliver, Chris, and Jano for lifting us up with your exquisite poetry, musicianship, and harmonies. The world needs more of you. <3 S, T, and Greta June
Loved Wood Brothers! Loved the mix of new and old songs. The energy level was great as was the volume! Will see them anytime I can!!! Unfortunately wasn’t as thrilled with Shovels and Rope opener Much of that likely due to volume. Too loud overall and drum drowning out vocals 😔
Great show. We had heard Wood Brothers once before and really enjoyed them. This time they played alot of new songs which were great. Good songwriting and vocals, and 3 excellent, energetic mysicians. Shovels and Rope were a very good opening act.
This was such a great concert! I loved every minute of it!!
Hard to to beat the band, in my opinion. Venue was great as usual.
The concert was amazing. They had so much energy, great sounds. Shovels & Rope was a good choice for opening act. It was all around a great night.
Starting with Shovels & Rope and finishing with the Wood Brothers -- just an awesome night of music! I highly recommend seeing this show if you can...you won't regret it!
The Wood Brothers are the best touring band on the scene! They are the real deal. Start from the beginning of their catalogue. IT WILL CHANGE YOUR LIFE! If you have not seen them live, you NEED TO NOW!! Additionally, the opener Shovels and Rope, were sublime! Buy an album, crank it up loud, and go see a show!!!!! Your ears, heart and soul will thank you:)
Excellent show - incredibly talented musicians!! Enjoyed the intimate venue!
Shovels and Rope opened the show. They were wonderful! The Wood Brothers headlined, and they were even better! They interacted with the audience throughout the show, encouraging us to sing along, get up and dance, etc. Really made us feel like part of the show!
I went to see Shovels & Rope and of course, they never disappoint... but as I left the show, I was truly inspired by the performance from the Wood Brothers. I was familiar with a hanful of their songs, but the eay they presented their music... making room for some fun jam sessions and inviting the audience to dance was just a great experience. The venue was intimate and the crowd was kind. The Wood Brothers are a must see and I will do my best to catch them live again!
I love the energy the Wood Brothers bring to every show. Saturday night at the Riverside Theater was no exception. They mixed brand new material in with well-known crowd favorites and they had whole place dancing and grooving to their funk soul roots rock rhythms for hours. Great show!
