About

THE WONDER YEARS IN CONCERT:

Pop punk outfit The Wonder Years lives up to its nostalgic moniker, treating fans to coming-of-age anthems that perfectly encapsulate the ups and downs of adolescence. Charismatic frontman Dan "Soupy" Campbell is known for his powerful, emotive vocals, and he makes captures the essence of young adulthood perfectly on hard-charging songs like "Won't Be Pathetic Forever" and "You're Not Salinger, Get Over It". With their brisk combination of galloping drums, heavily distorted guitars, and soaring vocals, The Wonder Years always treat fans to an adrenaline-filled concert experience on their unforgettable tours.

BACKGROUND SNAPSHOT:

The Wonder Years formed in Pennsylvania in 2005 from the ashes of pop punk band The Premier. After releasing two split EPs with other local bands, they made their full-length debut in 2007 with the album Get Stoked On It! The record introduced listeners to their clever songwriting with cheekily-titled tracks like "I Feel in Love with a Ninja Master" and "Buzz Aldrin: The Poster Boy for Second Place", and before long their growing fanbase drew them out for extensive touring. The band followed up in 2010 with Upside, a more polished effort that landed at No. 5 on the Alternative charts thanks to catchy tracks like "Melrose Diner" and "This Party Sucks". Amid a busy touring schedule, the band released two more critically and commercially successful albums including 2013's The Greatest Generation -- a Top 20 hit on the Billboard 200. A passionate and energetic live act with nearly a decade of experience under their belt, The Wonder Years continue to wow ticket buyers with their high-octane sound and relatable lyrics on tour.

I have never had this much fun at a concert before. All 4 bands were so great, the crowd was insane all night and even though going in to the concert I had only heard of 2 of them, I now have 4 bands that I love. I would highly recommend this concert to anyone who even casually likes one of these bands. You would find it so much fun.

These bands killed it on stage!!!

by JoNoire on 11/22/15Revolution Live - Ft Lauderdale

I honestly went for motion city soundtrack only, didn't know any other bands, but boy did I have a great time! The bands all worked well together and we're all so caring for the crowd! Then motion city sound track and how they was unlike anything I've ever seen before! Honestly though... BEST OPENING EVER!! I personally can't wait to see motion city soundtrack again but I wouldn't mind seeing the other perform again either!

    Amazing Show

by xLilCubbie25 on 11/19/15The Pageant - St Louis

I went to this concert to see Motion City Soundtrack, never having heard of the other three bands that were also a part of the show. Now, I listen to all the bands that were there! They all put on a great show and really impressed me with the energy and clear joy they had from performing. One of the best shows I have been to.

    Best Meet & Greet Ever

by tempusfugate on 11/19/15House of Blues Dallas - Dallas

I've been to my share of awkward meet and greets but the acoustic set by The Wonder Years was just mind-blowing. They kept everyone informed during the check-in process and then we got to listen to like eight songs re-done for an acoustic set. Afterwards the band answered questions that the group had previously submitted. It was very interesting to see all the different personalities as they contributed to discussing the topics. I didn't realize beforehand until I checked in on Foursquare and it said I had been to see them 12 times. I guess you can say I am a fan. The show was top-notch per usual, even though the Dallas crowd isn't the best. I'd seen the same show on the tour in Seattle and that crowd was nuts! Leave it to The Wonder Years to breathe life into any venue.

I went to see State Champs. They are always so much fun to watch. Then The Wonder Years of course killed it as always.

    Wonder what happened to Soupy

by ACDCZoltan on 11/15/15House of Blues Dallas - Dallas

No such a thing as a bad show from The Wonder Years. After having seen them for the fifth time I pause to reflect and say the energy was lacking. The last few songs gained energy but overall Soupy was winded, could be seen wincing in between lyrics and just did not seem his normal self. Plenty of new songs played with songs from each album going back to the upsides. Extra money was put into those smoke pyro things at the front of the stage a great lighting for extra moody songs. Motion City did not disappoint, crowd was smaller than their previous club date and I am not sure why but possibly from a lack of interest in the new album.

    Amazing Performance

by lofijen on 5/4/14Culture Room - Ft Lauderdale

The bands performed really well and the crowd was highly energetic. However, I wasn't too content with the staff... people were kicked out simply for crowd surfing.

The whole concert overall was absolutely wonderful. All of the bands did great. I LOVE the small venue. I just wish they didn't have a barricade so we could stage dive. Also crowd surfing... needs to be able to happen. they're not going to stop us from doing it anytime soon. like I said though overall I loved it so much. I'm hoping that many more bands start to come here cause that was the best experience of my life.

There were a lot of openers that I hadn't listened to and a lot of them were pretty good. I felt a little old to be in the pit, but otherwise the venue is great. The Wonder Years put on an amazing show.

    Generally great show

by tbhtalya on 4/15/14The Electric Factory - Philadelphia

The lineup was great - The Wonder Years and Real Friends are two of my favorite bands, and Citizen are pretty good (I don't know Modern Baseball or Fireworks very well). The crowd was annoyingly rowdy during Fireworks' set - so much so that I got kicked in the head and kicked in the legs a few times, and decided to move to the back. The rest of the show was great, though.

Great show, The Wonder Years and Misser killed it! Not really a Hostage Calm fan, but they played well together. Fireworks played mostly new stuff and were much better when I saw them here a couple years back.
