The Tenors on Tour

Although The Tenors' sound is a combination of classical and pop, the group's concerts are impossible to pigeonhole. Their setlists have been known to include everything from Motown classics to Beatles hits, to renditions of "Agnus Dei" and Leonard Cohen's "Hallelujah." No matter what style The Tenors lend their voices to, it's the power of those pipes that has fans around the world coming back to their performances. Each member of the group is a world-class vocalist on his own terms, and as they trade off on lead vocals, it only becomes more clear. But when their voices combine, they add up to even more than the considerable sum of their parts. Between The Tenors' unbridled eclecticism, out-of-this-world vocal chops and sheer stage presence, it's nearly impossible to walk out of one of their concerts unmoved.

The Tenors in Concert

The Tenors were born out of a vision to combine the best of operatic material with pop, presented by singers possessed of both flawless technique and intense emotion. The lineup has changed since they started, but the mission remains the same. The group first came together in 2004 in Victoria, BC, and early on they were known as The Canadian Tenors, but their moniker changed when it became clear that they could appeal to audiences far beyond their national borders. Their self-titled debut album came out in 2005, though it was the follow-up (also self-titled) that really put them on the map, hitting both the classical and pop charts in the U.S. as well as Canada. Since then, these Canucks have become virtual citizens of the world, playing the most prestigious venues all over the planet, and appearing on television everywhere from PBS to the BBC.

The Tenors always present a great show. I have seen them 3 times and have their CDS. They are family oriented and include information about their families. When they blend their voices, my heart swells and feel the music in my chest. I will try to see them every time they appear.

  • Great way to start off the holidays!

by Deb on 12/15/19Club Regent Event Centre - WinnipegRating: 5 out of 5

What a spectacular holiday show! Between the venue and the musical repertoire the show was an excellent evening! This was a first time for a friend of mine and she loved being introduced to new songs as well as the familiar favorites. Loved that The Tenors included a youth choir from a local school in to their show - a great experience for the kids and a wonderful addition to the evening's show! The Bing Crosby showcase was an extra special treat! As always The Tenors exceeded expectations! Bravo guys! Looking forward to next year!

  • Worth it

by DNB on 12/15/19Club Regent Event Centre - WinnipegRating: 5 out of 5

The Tenor’s show was 2nd to none. Enjoyed the experience immensely. The Event Centre left a lot to be desired however! The accessibility for those who require it leaves much to be desired and needs to be addressed. With the Centre being attached to the Casino left us with the feeling it was an afterthought. Should you wish to dine beforehand think again! The availability of restaurants is almost non existent with only bar food, or 1 venue for a sit done meal that in no way is large enough to accommodate event goers. Handicapped parking is another area that leaves much to be desired. So in short the Tenor’s performance was FANTASTIC but the venue is at best a 1 star.

The Tenors delivered a full evenings entertainment Showcasing their individual and collective talents Highlighted by their harmonies that I think is their signature best As a Christmas concert it excelled I would have liked a couple more non carol songs as I am a fan of their other music

Wish the tenors were performing for entire show. All three were very talented and have great harmony. We came from Wisconsin just to attend their concert and hope to see them again.

  • Great evening

Both PMJ and The Tenors were great. The dinner was excellent although the chicken was a bit overdone. Wonderful venue and the tables were set up well with enough room to walk around. Don't understand why the Riva Ranch Chardonnay was only available by the bottle during dinner and not by the glass. The parking was surprisingly easy to get in and out. All in all a great evening.

  • great show

  • BEYOND EXPECTATIONS

by KM on 12/25/18Town Hall - New YorkRating: 5 out of 5

After watching their PBS special, we thought how much different could they be in person. WOW!!!! is the answer. Always SO MUCH BETTER AND LIVELIER IN PERSON. so glad we went. They are now on my FAVORITE performer list. They have so much passion for their entertaining style. Only complaint...the children's choir performance was lost. Would have liked to see the kids sing more with THE TENORS than just background noise. They really couldn't be heard. If they are going to be there, use them more. They were definitely excited to be on stage. Highly recommend catching a performance Wish I bought the DVD and not a CD for my friend. lol

The tenors were all I had expected them to be. So happy we had the opportunity to be at their Christmas show. What a privilege to experience these extremely talented men/ entertainers. Truly gentlemen who share a love of music and God. A memorable experience. I hope to experience another of their concerts in the future.
