The Tenors on Tour

Although The Tenors' sound is a combination of classical and pop, the group's concerts are impossible to pigeonhole. Their setlists have been known to include everything from Motown classics to Beatles hits, to renditions of "Agnus Dei" and Leonard Cohen's "Hallelujah." No matter what style The Tenors lend their voices to, it's the power of those pipes that has fans around the world coming back to their performances. Each member of the group is a world-class vocalist on his own terms, and as they trade off on lead vocals, it only becomes more clear. But when their voices combine, they add up to even more than the considerable sum of their parts. Between The Tenors' unbridled eclecticism, out-of-this-world vocal chops and sheer stage presence, it's nearly impossible to walk out of one of their concerts unmoved.

The Tenors in Concert

The Tenors were born out of a vision to combine the best of operatic material with pop, presented by singers possessed of both flawless technique and intense emotion. The lineup has changed since they started, but the mission remains the same. The group first came together in 2004 in Victoria, BC, and early on they were known as The Canadian Tenors, but their moniker changed when it became clear that they could appeal to audiences far beyond their national borders. Their self-titled debut album came out in 2005, though it was the follow-up (also self-titled) that really put them on the map, hitting both the classical and pop charts in the U.S. as well as Canada. Since then, these Canucks have become virtual citizens of the world, playing the most prestigious venues all over the planet, and appearing on television everywhere from PBS to the BBC.

The most magical & awesome concert ever...beautiful voices..but beautiful men inside & out..So humble & engaging..morally sound..The 'Lords Prayer" sung by Victor brought me to tears..Don't think I have attended a concert where I have been so emotionally moved...Am anxious to see them again & again!!!!

  • Bravo - The Tenors

by AFguy on 5/10/13Palace Theatre Columbus - ColumbusRating: 5 out of 5

    # Had it not been for the PBS special aired months ahead of this performance, I may not have been so inclined to order tickets. But since I did have that preview, I highly anticipated what to expected and was not disappointed! The strength their voices, along with their harmonizing excellence will be what I consider the hallmark of this vocal group. In my mind, every song deserved a BRAVO.

One of the best concerts I have attended. A beautiful blend of classical and pop. The four young men shared personal, touching and funny stories that surely endeared them to the audience. Wonderful night. Beautiful voices.

  • Tenors Rock!

by mgmurphy on 5/10/13Palace Theatre Columbus - ColumbusRating: 5 out of 5

Saw the Tenors in Columbus this week with my mom. Last minute purchase and boy, I am glad that we went. They were amazing, handsome, funny and all over a great group of singers. I would suggest this to everyone. They are on a USA tour and hitting all the cities where my family lives and I have suggested that they attend.

Their musical talent is amazing and their interaction with the audience made the concert very personal. Their humble approach and stories about their families made them even more appealing.

These guys have great voices and blend very well together. Each one has a different tenor voice. Loved the classical voices. Songs were very well done and mezmerizing.

  • The Tenors were exceptational

by RussBuck on 5/10/13Palace Theatre Columbus - ColumbusRating: 5 out of 5

The guys voices were amazing and their harmony was superb. I have tried to put my finger on how I have felt since the concert, and am having difficult time (it was a good feeling). The only word I can come up with is haunting, but like I said in a good sense. Some of the songs seem to follow me around, especially Forever Young.

This was my second Tenors concert and it was even better than the first, if that's possible. The show is such a joy to watch. It is fun, it is moving, and they are simply unforgettable. I would buy tickets again in a heartbeat! There is something for everyone, any age. Loved it!

  • FANTASTIC

by Allstate20 on 5/8/13THE TENORS, Palace Theater - AlbanyRating: 5 out of 5

Albany was the 2nd time we have seen the Tenors. We just discovered them on PBS back in December, saw them in Canada and then again just a few days ago!!! We had back stage passes and met 4 of the most humble, honorable, talented men we have ever met! Their singing is off the charts, their character shines through every one of them and we just love them!! Seeing the Tenors is a MUST folks!!!!! Buy tickets!!!

  • Didn't rise to my expectations...

by EMAS on 5/8/13Palace Theater - AlbanyRating: 3 out of 5

I was a bit disappointed with this performance for several reasons. I saw the Tenors in NYC a couple years ago and that performance was amazing! I brought my reluctant husband to this performance in Albany expecting the same greatness - hoping to impress my husband with this show. Vocally, the Tenors were amazing as I expected. But their energy on the stage was lacking. They seemed a bit weighted down - not at all like the NYC performance. Their songs were beautiful but many were very slow-moving and sleepy. The sound and acoustics in this venue were not good and the spot lighting was equally bad - but this has to do with the venue, not the performers. I like learning about each Tenor, but I feel their monologues are too long. I would like more singing and slightly less talking. I would see them again and recommend them but I'd like to see & feel more energy. Perhaps they were having an off night...

I have been looking forward to seeing The Tenors for several years, so glad they finally came to Albany, NY! These tickets were a present to my parents for their 56th wedding anniversary, and I couldn't be more pleased, we loved every minute of it. Thank you for a memorable evening with my family.

  • The Tenors were fantastic

by SANGY on 5/7/13The Palace Theatre Albany - AlbanyRating: 5 out of 5

We had a great time at the concert. Each Tenor had their alone time on stage singing and telling stories about themselves. Together they sang different types of music and had fun joking around with each other. There were many tender, sad and happy . moments during the performance. The concert lasted 2 hours and we were sad when it ended. It's a must concert for all.
