THE RECORD COMPANY IN CONCERT:
LA-based blues rock outfit The Record Company has opened for everyone from B.B. King and Buddy Guy to Social Distortion and Grace Potter, but the band's acclaimed 2016 debut album Give It Back To You made clear what their loyal fans already knew: these guys were born to headline. Since the record's release the talented trio has topped Billboard's Adult Alternative Songs chart with their single "Off the Ground" and wowed on their first headlining tour with no-nonsense sets that put their impressive rock chops front and center. In concert they combine twangy slide guitar and driving distorted bass with elemental drumming that gives their songs serious rhythmic heft. Their palette is minimal, but it's the perfect foundation for singer and multi-instrumentalist Chris Vos, whose soulful voice and self-aware lyrics imbue the band's tunes with arresting emotional complexity. In the wake of their acclaimed debut The Record Company has wind in their sails, and fans can't help but get caught up in the excitement any time they kick out their bluesy brand of rock and roll.
BACKGROUND SNAPSHOT:
The Record Company formed in Los Angeles in 2011 and spent their early days writing and recording in the living room of bassist Alex Stiff. They self-released a few 7" singles and an EP of covers in 2012, including a version of The O'Jays' "Love Train" that was featured in a Coors Light commercial. TV placements on shows like USA's Suits and CBS's CSI: Crime Scene Investigation followed, and by 2014 they were performing at major festivals across the country and touring in support of legends like Brian Setzer and Trombone Shorty. Following a 2015 European tour in support of Blackberry Smoke, The Record Company made their full-length album debut with Give It Back To You. The record was a critical and commercial success, spawning the hit single "Off the Ground" and drumming up major excitement for their first headlining tour.

The Record Company at the High Noon Salon in Madison, WI was outstanding. I love this band and was thrilled to see them play at such a small venue. Great show!
I’ve collected ticket stubs for 20 years and now your ruining it
This is the best band that people don't know about. Always a great show. So talented, great songs, super fun vibes, great to dance all night!
Just a JAM. Fun, rocking out. Very talented musicians. We got to hang out with them before the show in Madison, and the lead singer wore a Milwaukee cap! Very cool guys 🎶🙂
The venue matched the band’s energy and signature groove with a stellar sound system! Crowds were manageable and the venue made for a quick entry process. Great little outdoor area. I’ll be back. Warning- parking lot was SKETCHY (between strip club and highway overpass) . We had no issues, but WONT BE GOING IN OR OUT AGAIN SOLO.
So glad I got to see them live for the first time, as a headliner. They rocked out and I truly enjoyed their live experience. I will see them again live soon.
The Record Company put on a great performance. I would definitely recommend to anyone!
This band gives you all they have every single show, every single song. Amazing artist and passionate performers.
These guys put on an amazing show. Don't miss it! Catch them before everyone else catches on because in a year you won't be able to get this close. Hands down one of the best shows I've ever seen.
This was my second time seeing The Record Company in concert and their show never disappoints. If you want to hear great music and have good time go see The Record Company.
Fabulous band—great music and excellent performers!
Live Nation has ruined this very unique and special venue. The woman at the gate literally took a tape measure to my teeny purse and told me it was too big. After returning to the gate from unloading my purse in the car the gate attendants scanned every inch of me with a wand BEFORE walking through a metal detector. While I can appreciate the security measures to keep everyone safe, it really ruins the experience that use to be so cool at GLA. After finally making it through the gate you get the pleasure of purchasing a marginal beer for $17!! And that's BEFORE they ask you to tip them. I feel like the whole experience has been ruined by selling out to Live Nation. I have no issue with charging me more for beers at a venue but the prices are over the top and people are forced to pay them because they are captive. This just screams greed and takes away from the cool bands that play this venue. I miss the old GLA.
Best Time Ever!! The Record Company just keeps getting better!!! They really KICK!!!!!
Chris Vos is the real deal, amazing player, singer songwriter. Fresh real rock’n’roll. Excellent band. They need more exposure!
The record company put on a fabulous show. So much fun.
The band was on point! However, the venue had limited food options that shut down at 6:45 pm due to permitting issues. Also the mosquitos and nosieums were out of control. We decided to leave the show earlier than we had planned because of those things. Record Company was awesome, Live Nation missed.
We decided at the last minute to go see The Record Company at Greenfield Lake Amphitheater in Wilmington, NC and they did not disappoint! They are a high energy blues/rock n roll band who put on one hell of a show! The venue is intimate and in a gorgeous, lakeside setting. The local opening band, The Bluefooted Boobies were also awesome! One of the better openers we’v seen in awhile. My husband had never heard it TRC and came out a big fan! He purchased all of their albums on Apple the next day! So glad we caught this show! See them if you can!
Recited co amd greenfield lake venue were outstanding
Awesome atmosphere! The Record Company is always a fun show! They had a local band open the show and they were amazing!
