loved seeing the film on the big screen in such a beautiful setting! Some of the talk was a bit rehearsed but i guess telling the same old story always is :) Hope to see more events like this!

  • Absolutely delightful!

This was so much fun! It was neat to watch such an iconic, happy movie in a theater full of people who enjoy it just as much. We brought our 8yr old daughter, who is also a fan and she was wrapped up in the energy as well. Cary Elwes was great and his stories of behind the scenes moments making the film just added to how special the movie is. Great job!

  • So sweet!

Unfortunately a lot of the stories told are floating around social media already. But we really enjoyed watching the movie with such a great crowd.

i saw this in NC, the venue was beautiful, the seats were perfect! seeing the Princess Bride on the big screen with a roomful of like minded wierdos was... inconceivable. Cary Elwes was hysterical with his impersonations of castmates and rob reiner. his stories and anecdotes i had not heard or read before. if you get the chance - do.not.miss.it! i drove6 hours to see this (ok so i visited family too) a week later and i am still giddy over it!

I enjoyed seeing The Princess Bride in a group setting. It was fun to say the lines with a group. Cary Elwes was interesting. I wish there was time for more stories, but I guess I just need to read his book.

Meeting Cary Elwes was amazing. Such a nice guy. Watching the movie with so many people who love it was awesome. Being encouraged to say the lines made Cary Elwes's day. Our daughter was watching the movie for the first time and loved it.

  • The MOVIE was great

by Seth on 8/26/25Martin Marietta Center for the Performing Arts - RaleighRating: 4 out of 5

We had an absolute blast watching Princess Bride with a theater full of people who live it as much as we do laughing and joking and reciting lines with the film. The Q&A format did not suit Cary Elwes. He is a terrific storyteller teller if he had been giving a speech, his presentation would have been lovely. As it was, pretending that he was being interviewed made the talk come off as stodgy and over rehearsed, which was a shame. It felt like Elwes was auditioning for an audiobook. He is a charming, talented, interesting guy, but we had hoped for some genuine moments from the evening.

  • Just a delightful evening

Watching The Princess Bride with a crowd truly is the way. The laughter, the cheering, the exclaiming of every famous line. Hearing stories about filming from Westley himself, Cary Elwes, was great. I had heard a few of them, but hearing him tell them was even better. They had fun. They laughed. They created a classic. We really enjoyed ourselves!

  • Night to remember

Absolutely loved this showing of The Princess Bride with people who cherished the movie as much as I did growing up. Everyone was quoting the movie and enjoying themselves. Having Cary Elwes speak and tell stories about his time filming the movie is something that will never be forgotten. Would do this again in a heartbeat! Had fun storming the castle!
