    Fun Atmosphere!!

by Blondie on 5/1/24Fox Cities PAC - Appleton

My daughter and I REALLY enjoyed our evening with the Princess Bride and Cary Elwes!! Only one issue which started to become a bit scary and that was the projection of the film. It appeared as though we weren't going to be able to see the whole thing. It made me wonder if there was a second copy of the disc or some other backup. Thankfully, it all worked out. :) In spite of that SNAFU, we enjoyed all the behind-the-scenes stories and answers to questions by Cary.

    Movie night

by Nicole on 5/1/24Fox Cities PAC - Appleton

It was so fun to watch the movie in the theatre. Then to get to see one of the actors and hear stories from the movie was amazing. I hope to see more events like this in future

    Iconic movie… technical issues ‘inconceivable’

by RM on 5/1/24Fox Cities PAC - Appleton

For the amount of money, it seems unacceptable that there should have been technical issues. While the interview with Cary Elwes was interesting, it would have been better if there was a screen where you could see his face better.

    Great!

by Sari on 5/1/24Fox Cities PAC - Appleton

Wonderful experience overall. Technocal difficulties with viewing the movie itself were slightly frustrating and derailing of the experience but overall wonderful. Would have liked a little break to stand up, as it was a long time sitting. Cary is amazing and loved hearing him speak about his experiences. I do wish there was a little more time for questions too, of course! Also wish we could have purchaced the book prior to the show.

    Low production quality

by Chris on 5/1/24Fox Cities PAC - Appleton

The movie was played off of a scratched blu-ray disc, and the q&a session was highly limited.

    A fun experience

by FarmboyFetch on 4/23/24Rialto Square Theatre - Joliet

First we sat and watched the entire movie. I thought Cary would have come out before it started, or maybe halfway thru to say hello and maybe say a few words. But he didn't. After the movie he came out for over an hour. He was absolutely delightful. He had us all laughing and having a blast. What an amazing, intelligent man.

    Great Evening!

by Dee on 4/22/24Rialto Square Theatre - Joliet

Had a great time watching The Princess Bride with others who love the movie as I do. Cary was a good speaker, very interesting and very funny. Only disappointed that we are not allowed even 1 photo.

Wonderful movie and great interview, but …….

by Cary Elwes Fan on 4/22/24Rialto Square Theatre - Joliet

We had seats near the front of the theater, but far left of center stage (Rialto in Joliet, IL). The placement of the speakers made it impossible for us to understand any of the movie dialogue and very little of the interview that followed. We are big fans of the movie and have seen it many times, so we knew the story, but understanding the words would have made it a much more enjoyable evening.

Too old to stay up that late!

by JessieB on 4/22/24Rialto Square Theatre - Joliet

What a great event to watch the movie I’ve loved for over 30 years in a room with other people that love it as much as I do. And THEN get to meet Cary Elwes. (Swoon) I only wish it would have started a bit earlier so we could have been done earlier or do meet and greet first. Too old to be standing in line at midnight! But overall it was wonderful and I’d do it all again in a second.

Inconceivable lines for meet & greet

by RAM31280 on 4/22/24Rialto Square Theatre - Joliet

Rialto Theatre is beautiful and amazing as ever, I can not express how much I love this venue, everyone should see a show there. The movie was great, the Q&A after the movie was great, the staff were pleasant and helpful, and the meet and greet with Carey Elwes was amazing, he is very friendly and charming. The details for the VIP/meet & greet experience were not clearly presented/explained ahead of time. The line for the meet and greet was nearly 2 hrs for us, and there were a lot of people behind us in line too. I don't know if some people got more time with Carey than the quick pleasantries and photo like us, or if is was not well organized. I will see more live shows and movies at this venue (I already have tickets for 1) I don't know that I would get another VIP experience there.

    Fantastic evening

by Susan on 4/22/24Rialto Square Theatre - Joliet

Watching the show with a room full of people who know and love the movie was a true Fandom experience. It was so much fun. Cary's after the movie discussion was fun and entertaining. Who knew he did impressions? Lol. The meet and greet was one of the highlights of my life. Cary was so warm and down to Earth. The only down side of the evening was standing in the line waiting for over two hours. For a long time, that line did not move. For someone who is older and arthritic, the standing was almost unbearable. They could have left us seated and taken us in groups so that we were not all standing for so long. I was not the only person having an issue with the standing. I was in pain the next day. Every joint in my lower body hurt.

    An Inconceivably Amazing Evening

by Sarah H. on 2/13/24Paramount Theatre - Anderson

A great evening watching an amazing movie, and hearing the wonderful stories told by Mr. Cary Elwes. I highly recommend grabbing a ticket for this event if it comes to a venue near you! His stories were told with such detail and emotion that you feel as if you were there. I will definitely go again, if he comes back!

    Good, Clean Fun!

by Storming the Castle on 2/13/24Paramount Theatre - Anderson

We had a wonderful time! Sharing the movie with other Princess Bride fans who love it as much as we do was so much fun. The interview portion with Cary Elwes did not disappoint. He was so personable, and the thoughts he shared were at times both funny and touching. The whole experience at the Paramount Theater in Anderson was well worth the money.

    As You Wish

by Cheynagal on 12/9/23The Wiltern - Los Angeles

It really was great watching my favorite movie, The Princess Bride, with all super fans and Cary Elwes! They all knew when to cheer, laugh and quote! Some of the fans even dressed up! My favorite part was the Q & A with Cary Elwes, after the movie. He was engaging and had great stories to tell about the making of the movie. The only thing that would have made it better is if he had been projected onto a screen for us in the cheap seats. It would have been nice to see his face clearly as he spoke.

    Hilarious but slightly uncomfortable

by Tmo on 12/1/23The Wiltern - Los Angeles

Rewatching The Princess Bride & Cary’s interview after were amazing. The uncomfortable part was just the actual seats. They are difficult to be sitting in for over 2 hours. I was also in the love section, and walking down into those seats felt very unsafe without any handrails to steady myself on. I had to hold out my hand to assist and older woman to steady herself as she went down to her seat.
