About The Price Is Right Live

In 1972, a part of TV history began its journey with the premier of The Price Is Right on CBS. When contestants heeded host Bob Barker's iconic call to "Come on down!" and take part in what has become one of America's most beloved game shows, a legacy started that would last for decades to come. The Price Is Right is one of the most popular, longest-running TV shows ever, so it's not surprising that it spawned a stage version in 2002. When you attend The Price Is Right Live, you may not be on TV but you're still getting the full experience. Whether you're one of the randomly selected contestants or a spectator, you see the classic games played out before your eyes, as people do their best to guess prices in order to win cash and prizes.

  • This show was great!!

by Bubajo on 2/20/14Soaring Eagle Casino - Mount Pleasant, MIRating: 5 out of 5

We bought our tickets online and walked right in to register once we got there...never had to wait in line at all. Since we had great seats that were reserved, we were able to walk out if needed, but we didn't need to because we registered right before the show! Everyone was very friendly. We walked up to the stage before the show to capture a picture so we could remember what a great time we had! We definitely would go again, especially since the price is so reasonable!

  • Price is Right Live Stage Show

by kickapoogal on 11/27/13La Crosse Center - La CrosseRating: 1 out of 5

After going, I wish I had not spent the money. Some of the people in the crowd were very rude with their booing. I did not think much of the drunk contestants, I think they should have not been allowed to participate. The games were more difficult than the TV ones. No big prizes were won by anyone. The cold wait outside was awful.

The announcer stated 2500 people attended this event at an average ticket price of $40. By my calculations that is around $100,000 in ticket sales. The biggest prize given away was $450. The total prizes given away totaled maybe $2000. (That includes $25 gift cards) Also note that you don't even need a ticket to register to be on stage, you can simply walk off the street, sign up, and if you are selected you get to be on the show for free.

  • TPIR Live was AWESOME!

by jwest56 on 11/23/13Chester Fritz Auditorium - Grand ForksRating: 5 out of 5

Sorry I waited so long to submit this: In my opinion, TPIR Live Stage Show back in February 2013 was absolutely AWESOME from start to finish! I wanted to attend it in Las Vegas back in '08, but it just didn't work out. So I was extremely excited when I found out it was finally coming to Grand Forks, ND! TPIR Live gives as many people as possible within the 1.5 hours or so a chance to be a contestant. You absolutely need to have reasonable expectations before buying tickets and attending. If you want the same exact experience, prize amounts, etc as the actual TV Game Show, then I'd suggest to try to be on that instead. But if you simply just want to be entertained with a chance to win modest prizes, and not have to travel / fly so far, then this is for you! It is on a much smaller budget, and as long as you don't expect your name to be called, it's still very entertaining and exciting. Me being a game show fan who's never been on an actual TV Game Show before, the production was exactly everything I thought it would be, and then some! Hopefully someday, I will try to make it onto the actual TV Game Show...but until then, I'd highly recommend spending the money to go to it!!!

  • Price Is Right Live!! Do it!!!

    by jw2001 on 10/19/13Miller Auditorium - KalamazooRating: 5 out of 5

I recently went to TPIR Live and it was great! This is a very fun experience, especially for those who can't make the trip to the show in California. Just like the show, contestants are called from the audience, but this time you have to register in order to have an opportunity. I registered but was not selected to play. If you do not go with an expectation to get invited to "Come On Down!" then you will have a great time, enjoying a very fun show. Mark L. Walberg was the host at this stop and Andy Martello served as announcer. They worked great together and were very funny. They made it a very enjoyable experience. This show did not feel rushed at all. Many of the show's favorite games are played. While it can be expected for this presentation to be scaled down from the actual show, they do give away some great prizes! There are also two Showcase Showdown rounds, where people from the audience get a chance to spin the Big Wheel. At the end is the Showcase, where one lucky contestant gets a chance to win four different prizes. I should also point out that many clips are played throughout the show, ranging from Bob Barker's years on the show and even more recent clips from Drew Carey's current run. They also play many old music cues that fans really enjoy. Cues that have all but disappeared from the show. Even if you don't get selected to play, you do have an opportunity to take advantage of "The Big Wheel Experience". For $20 you can receive a t-shirt, a professional photo of you at the Big Wheel, and better yet, you get to give it a spin! I've ALWAYS wanted to do that! I naturally started at $1.00, gave it a good, hard spin, and it landed on a 90. It was a blast!! That was probably one of the major highlights, aside from the meet and greet afterwards. If TPIR Live comes to your area, do yourself a favor and attend! Ticket prices are extremely reasonable and you will enjoy yourself! It's a lot of fun and I HIGHLY recommend it!

  • You won't regret it!

by elantradave on 10/2/13Jubilee Theater/Martin Woldson Theater at the Fox/Snoqualmie Casino Ballroom - Las Vegas/Spokane/SeattleRating: 5 out of 5

Let me just say first off, that The Price is Right Live has brought me many fun moments. I'm what you would call the big fan of the show...because I've been to it 20 times and three different venues. I used to vacation in Vegas ALL the time, so it was always a fun thing to do there. I live however in Seattle, and when they came to Spokane and Snoqualmie Casino, I couldn't miss it. First, let me say this: If you're going there expecting the HUMONGOUS prizes of the TV show..it won't happen. This show has a budget and is not supported by advertising like the television show. However the show is a LOT of fun. It is a celebration of the 41 years that The Price is Right has been on the air. They will show vintage clips, and give you a lot of fun trivia. But the meat and potatoes is in the game, and it's all here. You get the real music, the real sets, you get an announcer who yells "COME ON DOWN!" and the whole experience. If you enjoy The Price is Right on television, there's no reason you shouldn't enjoy this show. In fact, I like it because it's more like the way The Price is Right USED to be, in that they put the game first. I've seen it with five different hosts (Todd Newton, Marc Summers, JD Roberto, Doug Davidson, and Bob Goen) and all are DYNAMITE. Usually Todd Newton hosts it and he usually hosts it on tour, and he does a PHENOMENAL job! The announcers, you have Randy West, David Ruprecht, and Andy Martello. Any fan of game shows knows the names Randy West and David Ruprecht and they do a hell of a job. Both are GREAT at their craft and they're at their best here. However, Andy Martello, while not known to many game show fans, does a PHENOMENAL job as well. I have to admit, when I first heard the name, I had no idea who he was and didn't expect much. When I saw him, he did a GREAT job, and he is usually the one on tour, though occasionally Randy West announces too. Oh, and the models? SMOKIN' hot. I've told the models...they put the real show to shame. Would I recommend The Price is Right Live? That's really a dumb question after reading this review. I know not everyone will see it 20 times, but if you see it once, you might never want to miss it!

  • Price is Right Stage Show finally came to WA!

by ChristyBobisty on 9/29/13Snoqualmie Casino - SnoqualmieRating: 4 out of 5

Fun night out with adults in the family! We were not ready for the show to be over. Go with realistic expectations and you will have a blast. The best part of the show is the unscripted reactions of people called to 'come on down'. There were no real big winners but the opportunity was there. This show was at a casino so I think that helped keep everything in perspective - you win some - you lose some. Potential prizes included a car, a trip to Vegas, trip to Hollywood to go to Price Is Right show, refrigerator, $5,000, gift cards in varying amounts (Subway, Home Depot, Amazon), tandem bicycle, and Playstation 3.

  • Price is Right was disappointing!

by Gordolio on 6/18/13Robinson Center Music hall - Little RockRating: 1 out of 5

Suprised my wife with tickets to Price is Right. I knew it was not going to be the same as on television, but I didn't expect it to be a compelation of YouTupe videos of Bob Barker and previous contestants or a drawn out trivia quiz. Little action and cheap prizes. For a cost of nearly $50 each we should have at least gotten a silly T-Shirt that the losers received. Had to show up hours early to receive the coveted name tag that you right on yourself in order to have a chance at being called on stage. Played 5 games. Did the wheel once and ended with the showcase. Biggest thing they gave away was a cheap refridgerator. Definetly will not do again unless I go to California and watch a taping of the real thing.

  • Price is Right was a BLAST!!!!

    by ReginaFilangi71359 on 6/3/13F.M. Kirby Center - Wilkes-BarreRating: 5 out of 5

I've always been a fan of The Price is Right and would LOVE to go to the real thing, but I have a husband with a crazy work schedule and two young kids (plus a slight fear of flying) so I knew I would never get there. When I heard that Price is Right Live was coming to my area I jumped at the chance and got tickets. My sister and I paid for the VIP tickets and it was worth every penny. We got great seats, we got to spin the wheel after the show, got a cheesy t-shirt and got to meet (and take pictures with) Todd Newton AND Andy Martello!!!!! It was awesome!!! Just a kind word of advice---Don't go expecting to hear them shout your name and 'COME ON DOWN!!!!' Be realistic, people. There are like, 500+ people at the show and they call maybe 35-42 for a chance to play. Buy the tickets because you love the thrill and excitement of the game and you won't be disappointed.

  • Don't set yourself up...

by FollowMe85 on 6/2/13NYCB Theatre at Westbury - WestburyRating: 3 out of 5

This is a stage show and not a Hollywood taping of The Price Is Right. It's an average night out with a few laughs along the way. The show is a very very very scaled down version of the real show ,and offers lower level prizes. If you leave your dreams and fantasies at home along with your customized tee-shirts you'll have a fun night. I will say that most people were disappointed and felt it was a waste of money. Again, they probably fantasized about winning the latest SUV or a Safari trip to Africa. The producers gave away $25.00 Subway and Home Depot Gift Cards at random to people in the audience. The Top Prize on The Big Wheel for getting $1.00 was $100 and $250.00. Plinko was $2500.00 Max. For one of the games they had a computer problem and couldn't start the game. The producer gave the prize anyway. ( A trip to Las Vegas. Not bad....) For the Showcase they pick one person from the audience to play 10 Chances. The prize was a coffee machine, Flat Screen TV, Trip to Hollywood and a Car.(The Chevy Versa.) ($14,000.Value) They didn't win but were very close. The bottom line...I enjoyed myself but would not go again or recommend. I would spend the money going to a concert or out to dinner.

  • Total Rip Off!!

    by Adw84 on 5/15/13Bayou Music Center - HoustonRating: 1 out of 5

We were so excited about going to the show knowing it wasn't the actual show. I even got seats that said it had the Big Wheel Experience But when we got our tickets it said to be there 3 hrs early to register, we registered then had to sit outside for 2 and a half hours. Then we get inside and it's $5.50 for a 20 oz bottle coke. Our seats were not like it was on the website or ticketmaster. The show was not like the actual show, prizes were crap, and only 1 showcase player!?!? Then after the show it was time to line up to spin the wheel, we were told our tickets did not include the Big Wheel!! The guys behind us were told the same thing and we all bought tickets on ticketmaster that said Big Wheel!! So upsetting to have wasted our money.

I truly had a wondeful experience on The Price is Right! I was so shocked to be called and they pronounced my name correctly! Plinko is my favorite game and I was so happy to get a chance to play. I would certainly do it all over again!

    by foolish11111111 on 5/9/13price is right - columbusRating: 1 out of 5

disappointing, feel foolish buying tickets to a show that's not the price is right ,it's like buying tickets to a Rolling Stones concert only to find a cover band playing Stones songs.

  • They kept you laughing the entire time.

The Price is Right Live was a great way to spend an evening enjoying yourself. Everyone was having a great time. There wasn"t a time when my group wasn"t laughing. Even if you didn't get a chance to be one of the contestants, A Fantastic time was had. Thanks all who assisted in making our evening a lot brighter.

  • The Price is Wrong

by ZapperRocks on 2/18/13Elliott Hall - West LafayetteRating: 1 out of 5

Total Ripoff,,,, Lame prizes and does not give the Price is Right a good name at all... They don't give a away anything worth the effort of a ticket price... You a better off buying scratch offs with your money to win and those chances are slim......

  • price is right live horrible

by ohioresident on 2/18/13live event - WheelingRating: 1 out of 5

I was very dissappointed in this show. I didn't expect to get called to "come on down" but the show lacked energy and fun. Jerry Springer was kind of a dud. He attempted to make jokes....most went over everyone's head. I wouldn't recommend it to anyone. Save your money.

  • left b4 show ended. Bored out of my mind.

by JustCallMeStupid on 2/17/13Price Is Right Traveling Show - Mount PleasantRating: 1 out of 5

I took my mother to this show and felt i had to tell my mother how sorry I was to drag her 3 1/2 hr.s away from home for this show. ,WE KNEW IT WOULD'NT BE LIKE THE REAL SHOW, but was way worse than what we had expected. We were bored out of our mind,.so glad to be out of there, could'nt see the stage only the top of the wheel. My friend won a t-shirt that we would've had to stay til the end of show for her to collect & she didn't want to wait anymore than we did. I wouldn't want anyone to know we were so stupid to buy tickets to this show! Wish I would have found these reviews before I went to the show. Put it this way, even w/ the ticket I purchased I would have been happier if we would have just taken the loss instead of going to the show. 3000 people bought tickets to this show, you would think (IF) by some chance a contestant would hit a dollar on the wheel they could have easily gave them more than 100.00. Now I realize the ppl that are possitive about this show in reviews think it's only 28.00 a ticket is not much money, but when you consider you drive for 3 1/2 hours to get there spend the night in a hotel, you have alot more than 28.00 into it and not all of us have money to just throw away! Now if you have money to burn & throw away, give me your address. i would like to be your trash can or fireplace, cause the show is literally like throwing your money away or burning it! AGAIN? NOT IN A MILLION YEARS!

  • The Price Is Right Live

by Anonymous on 2/10/13The Ferguson Center - Newport NewsRating: 1 out of 5

What a total ripoff! The prizes are few and lame. Thousands pay $$ and this show gives T-Shirts to the contestants that don't make it to the stage or they give T-Shirts as "gifts" at random to the audience. How cheap can they be? It is awful. Only few games are played. Jerry Springer wastes time with dumb jokes. It's a total shame that little is given in prizes in light of the amount that is made on these shows. I feel that I must get the word out to as many possible guests that it's a ripoff.....Never again!!

  • The Price is Right Live Is a RIP OFF DO NOT BUY!

by LadyfromSalisburyShow42 on 2/7/13The Price is Right Live - SalisburyRating: 1 out of 5

this was a insult to the real Price Is RIght Show on CBS. There were no producers meeting people, you simply wrote your name on a piece of paper with your birthday just month and day. You received no name tag. It was advertised that 3 game shows would be "taped" that day you attend. Nothing was taped, it was only one show if you could call it that. The normal show rules did not apply. 4 people would be called, then they had the 1 chance of bidding one one cheap item, usually under 100.00, and if you were not the one that bid correctly then back to your seat. oh well. If you won the bid, you went on the stage to play a severly modified game....like Plinko...on TV the prize on the center of the board is 10,000. It was 500.00. Kinda lame. Then after that person that got on stage and played the game was done...they called more people to Spin The Big Wheel. Not the person that had earned the right by getting up on stage, You would win 100.00 if you hit the 1.00 on the wheel. After that, of course the person with the highest amount without going over would go where???? back to their seat!!! When it came time for the showcase showdown again a new person out of the audience was called up. Just 1 person. Not 2 even. No one that had been up there and won their game. Then the prizes were shown. 4 things, a dvd set, a dvd player, a tv with 1 yr of net flix,, and a car. 2012 Ford Fiesta stick shift. It was a left over model stripped down vehicle, but that was fine, as I am thinking hmmm.... what would the final cost of these items be, the game show host ( Jerry Springer was the host...I forgot to add that) You were not able to guess the amount or bid.... the showcase showdown was the game 10 Chances. They started with the DVD set ( now this woman worked at a local walmart and I think she would have known the price of this dvd set) the numbers for the game are 2359 and the price was on the dvd set 53.00 which it sold at walmart for 29.99. Big difference. So after using up 5 chances on that, she had to do the dvd player, which she won with 3 chances, (not bad) then she tried for the TV and never had a chance to compete for the car even. I felt like they made sure she didnt win the car. No numbers or prices were printed on cards, like you see on the show, so who is to say that the woman didnt guess right? I felt like the entire game was not only a let down, but a money making scheme. On the flip side...they did offer the " Big Wheel Experiance" where for 20.00 you could spin the big wheel, and get a T shirt and your picture taken. After I had spend 94.00 on 2 tickets, was not allowed to take a single picture of the stage or any of the activities, now if I wanted a picture of the Minature Big Wheel rendition I had to fork out an additional 20.00? That was insult to injury in my opinion. I knew Drew Carey wasnt going to be there, I knew that the chance of me getting called up to stage was like a needle in a haystack, that I didnt mind. But when the show advertised how producers would meet with people, like they do on the real game, that is what I expected. When they said that they would be taping the shows, that is what I expected. The show was actually called on the ticket " a Broadway Production" not a gmae show. It was sad to see so many people with their " Pick me " shirts, and all of the gimmicks one sees on the show to be chosen out of the audience to " come on down". Instead it was more like...COME ON....IT WAS A LET DOWN! Dont buy into this save your money to go to California. Dont expect this to be anything more that a joke.
