The Price Is Right Live on Tour

Seeing The Price Is Right Live is a little bit like being reunited with a childhood friend. Anyone who grew up anywhere near a TV from the early 1970s onward probably has the classic game show embedded forever in their consciousness; seeing it play out in front of you (and maybe even taking part) can be a thrillingly surreal experience. But it's much more than just a nostalgia trip. Whether you're a lifelong fan of the show or it's your first exposure to the whole concept, the stage version of The Price Is Right is an enormous amount of fun, with random audience members picked to compete for cash and prizes by playing challenges like Plinko, The Big Wheel and The Showcase. If you're among the lucky attendees who get the famous call to "Come on down!" you just might feel a little chill go up your spine. But even if you aren't, it's still a blast to be part of the whole thing as it happens.

About The Price Is Right Live

In 1972, a part of TV history began its journey with the premier of The Price Is Right on CBS. When contestants heeded host Bob Barker's iconic call to "Come on down!" and take part in what has become one of America's most beloved game shows, a legacy started that would last for decades to come. The Price Is Right is one of the most popular, longest-running TV shows ever, so it's not surprising that it spawned a stage version in 2002. When you attend The Price Is Right Live, you may not be on TV but you're still getting the full experience. Whether you're one of the randomly selected contestants or a spectator, you see the classic game played out before your eyes, as people do their best to guess prices in order to win cash and prizes.

    A Good Time

by Br0chure on 3/3/16Peoria Civic Center - Peoria

It's not a carbon copy of the original studio show, but it's about 75% of the experience I would say. Don't go in expecting Drew Carey, of course he doesn't have time to travel the country to do these will also hosting the show back in L.A. I don't know if it's the same for every 'Live' show, but we had Todd Newton. Never seen him before but he warms up to the crowd quick and has a good sense of humor. Most of the games you know and love are here. Honestly, it would have been a perfect experience if my local crowd would have been more enthusiastic... not one single contestant that was called down had even the slightest of excitement, which kind of brings down the overall mood, and I just felt embarrassed on behalf of Peoria lol. Overall though, a pretty good time.

Might as well face, we're addicted to...stuff

by goinggoinggone on 3/2/16Peoria Civic Center - Peoria

Had a blast. Took my daughter there for her birthday. They randomly select who will be called down before the show starts, so everyone has the same chance. We weren't called, but the show was still really fun to watch.

    The Price IS Right!

by BuncoFriend on 3/2/16Peoria Civic Center - Peoria

Fun, funny, light-hearted and enjoyable for all! I love how they randomly pick those that can participate and people REALLY can win " A NEW CAR" among many other REAL prizes!

    The Price is Right Live

by TPIRLive on 3/2/16Peoria Civic Center - Peoria

The venue was great and the show was exciting. I liked how more people were chosen than on the TV show. The negative points were that I felt the prices of the larger prizes were not accurate. The show case was a motorized bike, a trip to Hollywood, a trip to Hawaii and a car for only $20,000!!! That seems low. I also do not feel it is fair to give people who do not have a ticket the chance to be on the show. I paid well for my ticket and I feel only those that have a ticket should be able to be on the show. I will come back next year, but I will not spend the money I did this year. I will get the cheaper seats, since my chances are slim of getting picked to participate.

A great time in Peoria, IL!

by CoolMagi on 3/2/16Peoria Civic Center - Peoria

This show is not 100% like the TV version. Contestants only bid once and the closest bidder gets to play on stage (the rest go back to their seats). Then a whole other set of 4 randomly selected contestants are called down - gives audience more of a chance to play. The spinning of the wheel is with 3 randomly selected contestants. The showcase is with 2 randomly selected contestants. Still a fun time!! I enjoyed the show and the Peoria, IL crowd. They serve all kinds of alcohol at this place meaning lots of partying fans having a great time singing, dancing, screaming, shouting and that's even before the show started!!

    Fun

by JAR9228 on 3/2/16Star Plaza Theatre - Merrillville

It was a great show. The host was very funny. Good experience. They included a lot more audience members than I thougth they would, so that was nice, unexpected finding. The registration process took a while and we had to stand outside in the cold for about 30 mins - but that might have had more to do with the venue as opposed to the show show itself.

Price is Right Live was not worth the money

by ybother on 3/2/16Star Plaza Theatre - Merrillville

The show was not worth the money. It only lasted one hour. The show case at the end was a joke. You had to come within $100.00 to win everything on stage. If you were the closest you only won some jewelry. Also, their total price was very low. The audience booed when they told the price.

    Waste of time and money

by Maggie37 on 3/1/16Star Plaza Theatre - Merrillville

The show is supposed to be 1.5 hours long but started 25 minutes late, nothing like the real show, just about no one won anything at all. Spents $70 a ticket and have to say I wish I would have saved my money

    Price is right

by Mckrrobi on 3/1/16Star Plaza Theatre - Merrillville

It was a fun show, but the organization of this was the worse I've seen so far. We waited an hour and a half to register. We waited patiently like everyone else in this room that was jam-packed, he tried to put us rows so that's the order we go in to register. When we started to register everyone was cutting and getting in front of everyone, so people that waited no time got to register before me( who waited forever). I know the order you register doesn't matter it's just the fact we were waiting respectfully. Also they only had two beer lines open, so I waited prolly 40 minutes for a beer. The show was fun though, but if all places are in-organized like this one, I would never go back.

    Kind of Shabby

by SassWytt on 3/1/16Star Plaza Theatre - Merrillville

The theater is kind of dirty and shabby. Even stank. The host makes the show very entertaining, but the prizes you win are not comparable to the tv show. Basically cash prizes with the highest amount given out that night of $250.

Price is Right - fun night!

by megabrew on 2/29/16Fox Cities PAC - Appleton

Bought our tickets as soon as they went on sale, 3 1/2 months before the show. Arrive early enough to "register" to be one of the people called. There were about 40 names called during the evening, some for a chance to get on stage, others for random gift card give-a-ways. The games that were played were all classic Price is Right games - which made it VERY fun. All of the contestants were enthusiastic and the woman next to me was called on stage for the showcase! It is definitely a bit "scaled down" from the Hollywood version in terms of value of the prizes but we saw someone win a trip to Las Vegas, a home theater system, a washer/dryer set, cash. It was fun to see the bloopers and highlight videos that would play in between Todd Newton was great as the host and everyone seemed to leave with a smile on their face!

    Not what everyone expected

by Anonymous on 2/29/16Fox Cities PAC - Appleton

The host was rude to the contestants. There were many people who misunderstood that it was truly not the show, as the advertising was misleading. It was a very disappointing evening.

The Price Is Right Live was a good time

by Lucy1006 on 2/29/16Fox Cities PAC - Appleton

We had a good time at The Price Is Right Live - Stage Show. However I thought the prizes could have been higher value. The showcase portion was kind of low value, instead of an electric bike I thought they could have at least given away 1 of the trips they were offering.
