    Too loud!

by nostoryrob on 12/4/23Uptown Theater - Kansas City

It's a great show BUT, it was way too loud and the bass was turned up so much that it felt like someone was was pounding on my chest all night. The bass should be a part of the mix, not overwhelm it. I had to put TP in my ears so it didn't hurt and I wasn't the only one. The musicians were great. The sound people need some lessons though. I wonder if anyone ever uses a decible meter during sound check. Music doesn't have to be loud to be good. See the show, especially if you're a Phil Collins fan, but make sure and bring earplugs. My 3 stars is because of the sound, not the musicians.

Had a great time. Wasn’t expecting it to be so good. Would see them again. It was almost 2.5 hours and well worth the money

    Started Way Too Late

by JDH on 12/4/23Uptown Theater - Kansas City

There was no info about an opening act. Which played for an hour. By the time the PCE was going to start, we needed to head out, so we didn't get to see any of the show. Watched some YouTube clips instead...

    Killer night of music!

by That rocker guy on 5/4/23VooDoo at Harrah's Kansas City - Kansas City

The opening band, the Stolen Winnebagos were fantastic. A three piece band that covered tunes from the likes of Beastie Boys, Blink 182, the Eagles, and more. Tight harmonies, and great arrangements. These guys are not to be missed. The Phil Collins Experience brought the power house pop of Phil Collins and the heady prog of Genesis with energy and musicianship. "Phil" was a dead ringer and carried the evening, bringing a great voice, showmanship, and drumming abilities to the house. The band was clearly filled with talented musicians and singers where everyone had a chance to shine. The red haired sax player was suuuuper amazing!

    Amazing show

by Mel E on 4/25/23VooDoo at Harrah's Kansas City - Kansas City

All the mannerisms and voice of Phil. I should know I've seen Phil in concert multiple times. This was so good that I'm getting my ex and his wife tickets.

Sounded like Phil. Looked like Phil. Mannerisms of Phil. All the musicians are at the top of their game. I will go again.

    SO MUCH FUN!

by Rosie D. on 4/24/23VooDoo at Harrah's Kansas City - Kansas City

From the opening act, The Stolen Winnebago's I knew we were in for a fun night! Then Terry Adams came on stage for The Phil Collins Experience you could feel the energy in the room!! Terry's voice is so amazing, and I just love Phil Collins and Genesis songs, I was able to sing along. Then there are the tambourines that are for sale, made me fell like I was part of the band :) I would see them over and over again!!

    Very Under-Whelming

by Harley_Guy on 7/20/21Uptown Theater - Kansas City

This show absolutely did not stand up to the hype; I’m referring to the YouTube videos, the other reviews, the website, the hype was just that - it was meant to get you into the door for you to be severely disappointed. As mentioned many times throughout the show they have been doing this for 26 years, and it shows! Perhaps the vocals were better 25 years ago; however, now you can tell time has taken it’s toll and the show either needs a severe refresh or an asterix (*) warning people that it’s a disappointment. The theater was about half full and of the people in attendance you could tell many had seen this performance numerous times in the past. I suppose that might be the bright spot to the entire show, the following, as there were certainly some characters within the audience. SWITCH, the cover band before the main show, was exceptional! I would’ve paid the same to see Switch (this was the first time seeing them as well) and you could absolutely tell why they have been voted the number one cover band in the Kansas City area on multiple occasions. All in all I would save my money, look to see where Switch might be playing in KCK/KCMO and go have an enjoyable evening out.

    Great show! Wow!

    by S. P. on 7/20/21Uptown Theater - Kansas City

It was a very enjoyable show. We counted 13 band members! Wow! Unreal! We sang and danced to all of his songs that I've enjoyed for years. Honestly, we kept waiting for Phil to run on the stage and say, I'm here! Sorry, I can dream. Honestly, well worth the money...
