The Phantom of the Opera Tickets

It was my first time but I was not too impressed. Have not seen the big one in New York but I had the feeling that this is a mini version adjusted to fit the smaller theaters. The Phantom 's singing and performance were just ok and it made me wonder if it was because he had been performing for more than a month in Hawaii!!! An amateur guess: Emotionally drained??? There were a few great moments that gave me goosebumps but overall performance was not what I had hoped to see! A side note on the audience: it's not ok to chew and drink loudly in the theaters especially at an opera night! And please do not sell popcorns at an opera! It doesn't help people with no common sense! The loud chewing popcorns and draining cokes is an absolutely nightmare when you are trying to enjoy the music!

This was my initial exposure to this show. With all the coordinating and logistics of getting a show of this quality to Hawaii the production was spot on. The performers were excellent and the stage props were great. Especially liked the chandelleir and how it was used in the performance.

Orchestra was phenomenal, cast was great!! Understudy for Raul needs To face the audience more when singing - awesome performance overall!! When’s it going to Anchorage ALaska??

The show was spectacular! I loved all the special effects. There was also a lot of leg room so we were comfortable throughout the night! Mahalo!

Everything about this phantom of the opera was excellent. This was better than the last time it came to Hawaii.

THE CASTING, THE MUSIC, THE PERFORMANCE, EVERYTHING WAS AMAZING !

Overall the experience of Phantom of the Opera at the Blaisdell was a good one. Able to find street parking, which was a great money and time saver. The Blaisdell really needs some TLC...carpets are so dirty, not very attractive. One thing that was so odd to me was the serving of popcorn and other noisy food that was sold AND ALLOWED INTO THE THEATER. Huh? It felt more like a movie or concert than a theater performance. Just so weird to me...and not to mention distracting - trying to listen to and enjoy a theater performance while people are crunching on food and rustling containers. Please rethink that for future performances. Blaisdell staff super friendly and helpful, overall a fun night!

Amazing performance, incredible set and special effects, and masterful music that keeps replaying in my head.

Went in not knowing what to expect but was pleasantly surprised at how much of a great experience/event The Phantom of the Opera was. The elaborate sets complimented the actors excellent performances. The music was haunting and helped illustrate the heartwarming and yet sad story. I would watch this production again should it ever return to Honolulu.

The sound was fantastic, so well balanced. The performers were excellent. Kudos to the Phantom! The staging enhanced the total experience!

It was a good experience with great seat. But unfortunately it didn’t give me goose bumps kind of great experience. So I rated it four stars.

Blaisdell is the only place we have to see such fabulous productions!!! And it needs work. Can you believe there is not a restroom upstairs for Balcony seats? This is somehow grandfathered in. It's not acceptable. The whole place needs an updating. Or freshening or whatever can be done to make it worthy. But til then ....... The production was great. Bravo to the stage and behind the scenes team along with brilliant talent all around. Phantom is , well no words can describe the emotional spirt of this production!!!

We sat in the balcony (front), and at times, it was difficult to hear the spoken word, however the singing was excellent. We enjoyed ourselves immensely.

I was unable to see the show when it had come to Hawai’i 25 years ago, so when it came to Hawaii this time I had to go! This time I was able to see it with my family (6 of us). We were not disappointed! As soon as the chandelier was revealed tears filled my eyes as the emotions of the scene took over! It was fantastic how the stairs appeared as they descended, then the boat scenes were amazing! The diva’s voice and character was wonderful! It was beyond our expectations! If we could, we would’ve gone to a second show! My husband was intrigued by the set, (how it moved), in fact he said, “I want to quite my job and do set designing! The orchestra was fabulous! Bravo to everyone who was a part of the show!

I was more impressed with the set design than the chandelier. Just LOVED how the columns turned and then voila, there was another set. I thought the lighting was a little dark. Was pretty close to the stage, but thought would have seen more with a little bit more light. The voices were incredible. So much range for Christine's character. The music was as I remembered; great. The live orchestra is always appreciated. The only downer was there was a young child sitting behind our group who kept talking during the performance. The adult with this girl didn't explain theater etiquette with this child. Unfortunate. Didn't want to make a scene, so I didn't turn around to ask if the child could just SHUT UP. It was irritating.

This was my 3rd time seeing the Phantom of the opera. Performance was good. Stage setting a bit dark, could be a tad bit brighter. The volumn/sound could also be louder. You had to concentrate so not to miss anything. Out of the 3 performances I’ve seen, this is well in 3rd place.

Worth every penny to see this show. I was great. Every seat had a great view of the stage. Actors and actresses were phenomenal in their craft.

The music is unbeatable. Just beautiful. It will draw out your emotions.

From the beginning to the end, my daughter and I enjoyed it a lot. Can't wait for our next show, RENT if there is still tickets available!
