THE BRILLIANT ORIGINAL RETURNS "MORE SPECTACULAR THAN EVER" - Sunday Express
The Phantom is back to thrill audiences once again! Cameron Mackintosh presents a revitalized new production of Andrew Lloyd Webber's legendary musical, THE PHANTOM OF THE OPERA, which was rapturously received by London critics when it reopened in 2021. Featuring Maria Björnson's brilliant original design and based on the celebrated direction of Harold Prince, with musical staging and choreography by Gillian Lynne, PHANTOM will launch a new multi-year North American tour in November 2025, premiering at the Cadillac Palace Theatre in Chicago December 11, 2025 - February 1, 2026.
THE PHANTOM OF THE OPERA is widely considered one of the most beautiful and spectacular productions in history, playing to over 160 million people in 47 territories and 195 cities in 21 languages. Andrew Lloyd Webber's romantic, haunting, and soaring score includes "The Music of the Night," "All I Ask of You," "Wishing You Were Somehow Here Again," "Masquerade," and the iconic title song. It tells the tale of a disfigured musical genius known only as 'The Phantom' who haunts the depths of the Paris Opera House. Mesmerized by the talents and beauty of a young soprano, Christine, The Phantom lures her as his protégé and falls fiercely in love with her. Unaware of Christine's love for Raoul, The Phantom's obsession sets the scene for a dramatic turn of events where jealousy, madness, and passions collide.

This is probably my third rendition of the Phantom. It has cerntainly keep its shine and drama. Beautiful production. I took a friend that had never seen it. He was blown away!
The show was great. We have seen Phantom many times. The production on this one is scaled down. It might be because it is in a smaller theatre. But still worth seeing.
EXCELLENT! WELL WORTH BRAVING THE WEATHER THAT NIGHT.
The performances in The Phantom of the Opera were rivetting.
I have seen The Phantom of the Opera live twice, I worn out my CD copy of the soundrack from the original London cast, and I own the movie with Emmy Rossum and Gerard Butler. That being said, Derrick Davis' voice is wonderful. He plays the Phantom with such emotion and passion. This was my niece's first time at the theatre and she was speechless. During intermission, I brought her down by the orchestra pit. She plays the flute and we were able to speak to both the flutists. They were both very friendly. Overall it was a wonderful experience and I look forward to my next visit to the Cadillac Palace Theater.
Awesome show.great singing and production. set design was good for limited space. Loved everything about show.
Love this Opera! My favorite of all time. They do not disappoint.
I haven't been to live theater in a long time. This was amazing! The voices were loud and beautiful. Stunning performance. The set changes were seamless.
Derrick Davis was outstanding. I have seen this production many times over the past 20 years. He brought me to tears. I could feel his pain. Great actor. Great voice.
I love this musical and enjoyed this production, nice singing and good production. I think this theater is too small for this performance, music is very powerful and singing strong, feels a little overpowered. Sitting in the dress circle unless it is a first row not recommended
Voices to die for! Sets and costumes were also amazing! I saw in New York a decade ago and this cast even topped that!
I was really worried because we were in the second to the last row in the upper balcony, but my 50 year old eyes could see just fine. The musical really kept me interest, my 88 year mother's and my 21 year old daughter's. We all love it!
This production of Phantom was FABULOUS! We had 2nd row, center stage seats, which made it that much more incredible! The actors were spectacular and it was just as good as the first time I saw it nearly 20 years ago! Minimal props allowed one to focus on the gorgeous costumes and singing. Just exquisite!!
Awesome production from cast to costumes to sets. Great way to spend an evening. Highly recommend this production.
The music was excellent but wasn't blown away with the story presentation.
I was fortunate enough to see Michael Crawford perform the role in London and this production compares extremely favorably to that one.
This was my first opera and I found I'm not a big fan. Other than that the vocals were fantastic as well as the character portrayals.
I have seen Phantom 3 times now and this was by far the best! The set design was unbelievable, it moved from scene to scene seamlessly. Whoever designed it should win an award! The costumes were gorgeous and the actors were amazing (especially the Phantom). The night was unforgettable!
This was an amazing performance that left me wanting more.
