  • Amazing!!

by RockyRoller on 8/22/17Tilles Center Concert Hall - BrookvilleRating: 5 out of 5

Al Stewart and Orleans were fantastic! They sounded SO good without any recordings or effects--truly talented musicians. Beautiful voices and arrangements. Acoustic guitars wonderful. ELO rocked it! Couldn't believe how amazing they sounded. Seeing them live for the first time was an experience not to be missed. Each member does an amazing job and they sounded incredible. Good show! Great deal!

  • Former ELO members Still Weaving Strange Magic

by elorulz on 8/22/17Tilles Center Concert Hall - BrookvilleRating: 5 out of 5

The event began with above average performances from Al Stewart and Orleans, highlighted by their combined version of Year of the Cat. The Orchestra w former members of ELO then took the stage for their 90-minute set. After a few glitches early on, they blitzed through more than 20 ELO hits with stunning music & great harmonies.

  • Al Stewart is a gem

by thegreen on 8/22/17Tilles Center Concert Hall - BrookvilleRating: 5 out of 5

I was drawn to this show by the appearance of Al Stewart. His accompanist Dave Nachmanoff is excellent. Al's performance was stellar as always. The performances by Orleans and ELO were a bonus that was over the top. The sound was great and all of the music was top of the line. Thanks to all!

  • Super Retro Evening! Al Stewart, Orleans, (ELO)

by PWDonLI on 8/22/17Tilles Center Concert Hall - BrookvilleRating: 5 out of 5

This show was a pleasant surprise as it wasn't what was advertised (which was Al Stewart with The Orchestra, which implied to me that it was a collaboration). Al Stewart was given a mere 30 minutes (6 songs), but he was fantastic with his classical guitar accompanist. Orleans played a solid 45 minutes, and Electric Light Orchestra's former Orchestra, now touring as THE ORCHESTRA, played 90 minutes or so. Fantastic all around - great seats at a great price. Tilles is a GREAT VENUE!

  • Well maint. theather, more about ARTS than the BAR

by Anonymous on 8/22/17Tilles Center Concert Hall - BrookvilleRating: 4 out of 5

Saw Al Stewart, Orleans and former E.O.L. members and found the access to the facility good, the parking easy and convenient to the theater. Left slightly earlier that the majority, so we did not experience the exit traffic, can't report if it was lengthy. The lights and sound people had their stuff together. Convenient venue for L.I.ers, seems like a little treasure that has yet to be discovered. Theater facility is a good venue for concert activities and I would seek out other concerts at the Tilles Center Concert Hall.

  • ELO WITHOUT Jeff Lynne

by Bob12mac on 8/22/17Tilles Center Concert Hall - BrookvilleRating: 3 out of 5

Well, the venue is very nice, Its in an awesome setting. Very easy to get in and out. Theatre was immaculate, ushers excellent. The show was "meh"....Al Stewart opened, and played like 6 songs, then I guess he had other plans. Would have liked a lot more of Al and Dave. Orleans came next, and they were very good. Then came "The Orchestra". The half filled theatre was very tired acting. I thought the whole place was just getting up from a nap. No spark AT ALL. I've learned that ELO is NOT ELO WITHOUT Jeff Lynne. The ONLY original member playing was Mik Kaminski, and though he tried, he can T carry a show. MAYBE one song, but NOT a show. There was an old guy on stage, big white beard, looked like he was straight out of Hogwarts....white coat...just SITTING at a control board onstage. He wasn't at an instrument, looked like he was grading math papers or something, because he didn't do ANYTHING. I guess he WAS an original member, they said he was the controller, or some made up title. I left before the end of the show, sleep was chosen over suffering through this bar band. Overall, not too good, but not bad, either. Just wish the crowd wasn't all over 70.

  • Orcherstra on Moody Blues Cruise

by 1chief on 3/4/16Moody Blues Cruise - On board shipRating: 5 out of 5

Just returned from Moody Blues Cruise and the Orchestra preformed onboard. Talk about Awesome, they were beyond Awesome. Two of the members were original members of ELO and they mingled with the audience and signed pictures and albums for us. As someone mentioned they are better today than in the past.

  • ELO was better now than was I was a kid

by BigGorilla on 4/15/15Florida Theatre Jacksonville - JacksonvilleRating: 5 out of 5

Seeing was believing. I hadn't really appreciated ELO as a kid. Being there up close and experiencing the energy and precision of the members some 30 years later was quite a memorable event. See them soon as the "magic" won't last forever.

  • The Orchestra ELO kept it real!!

by IslandGuyFB on 4/15/15Florida Theatre Jacksonville - JacksonvilleRating: 5 out of 5

The Orchestar ELO with all the Former Members brought back a lot of memories! Vocals were spot on and music was impressive with the Jacksonville Rock Orchestra!

  • Great show!

by VtGandJ on 4/14/15Florida Theatre Jacksonville - JacksonvilleRating: 5 out of 5

A superb performance by the band and the back-up symphony orchestra. Needless to say, Mr Violin, Mik Kaminski was the big star but everyone contributed to the outstanding evening. Backed by the Jacksonville Rock Symphony, the performance wowed the crowd and drew several standing ovations. Exceeded our expectations by far!!

EXCELLENT ! THEY DID AN AMAZING JOB OF REPLICATIING THE ORIGINAL ELO MUSIC EVEN WITHOUT THE GENIUS OF BAND LEADER,LEAD GUITARIST,SONG WRITER & VOCALS OF JEFF LYNNE.

  • amazing and alot of fun

  • Awesome, awesome, awesome!

by BIllHH on 4/14/15Florida Theatre Jacksonville - JacksonvilleRating: 5 out of 5

The Orchestra enthusiastically played all of their most popular songs culminating in a rousing applause by the audience, which was composed of all ages. Absolutely nothing was lost in this performance from the original songs thanks in part to the Jacksonville Pop Symphony, which did a marvelous job! My wife and I both had an amazing time and would have gladly paid twice the price of admission! Highly recommended!

  • ELO 2

    by Waterdog840 on 4/14/15Florida Theatre Jacksonville - JacksonvilleRating: 5 out of 5

This concert was great. They played every song. They sounded just like they did back then. The Jacksonville Rock Orchestra was the hit of the night!

  • ELO by any other name

    by Everyman52 on 4/14/15Florida Theatre Jacksonville - JacksonvilleRating: 5 out of 5

This is one of my top 3 concerts in the last 12 months!!! The Orchestra, Elo Former Members were backed up by select musicians from the Jacksonville Symphony and the synergies were beyond fantastic. Melodious music that did not lend itself to the audience inanely clapping to the beat of other bands. Audience clapping is not music people, I paid to hear the band. I'm not sure the concert would have had the same impact without the symphonic accompaniment and I recommend ELO incorporate this for their future performances.

  • Great Show

by jeffjax on 4/14/15Florida Theatre Jacksonville - JacksonvilleRating: 5 out of 5

Was a really good show. They sounded great. Played all my favorites

  • The Orchestra ( ELO )

by Timmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm on 4/14/15Florida Theatre Jacksonville - JacksonvilleRating: 5 out of 5

They were fantastic . Played all the hits except Fire on High . The Jacksonville Orchestra was just the greatest . Would go see again if possible

  • Excellent! ELO members did NOT disappoint!

by gingerakared on 4/14/15Florida Theatre Jacksonville - JacksonvilleRating: 5 out of 5

This was the best concert we have attended so far this year. ELO members and orchestra were excellent! Non-stop hits took us back to the good 'ol days, and we didn't want the concert to end. If they come anywhere close to Jacksonville again, we will definitely go see them again! Thanks for the awesome music and memories!

  • Great band, lousy sound system.

by AceExplorer on 4/14/15Florida Theatre Jacksonville - JacksonvilleRating: 5 out of 5

The band performance was outstanding, but the sound system was horrible. I have seen this band play in other venues three times before, in venues where the sound was beautiful. But the Florida Theatre has serious issues with their in-house sound system -- a real problem because this band does not tour with their own sound system. And this is not the first time I have experienced poor sound quality in this venue, it's been a known problem for a number of years, so beware and adjust your expectations accordingly when you buy an expensive concert ticket and show up to see the house system is being used. If the orchestra was expensive, then I would have rather seen a better sound system and no orchestra.

  • Glad I had a chance to see them

by alancp on 4/22/10Resorts Atlantic City - Atlantic CityRating: 4 out of 5

I wasn't sure what to expect since it's only a handfull of ELO members that make up The Orchestra, but I was happy I did see them. They played all of their hits and most of the songs are really upbeat and fun to listen to.
