ELO rocked!
by Scottwriter on 4/18/10Resorts Atlantic City - Atlantic CityRating: 4 out of 5I went with my cousin last night to the concert at Resorts in Atlantic City, and we both liked and enjoyed the concert, but my cousin called it cover band because there was only about one original member of the original lineup of ELO. Though it was mentioned during the show by a band member that one of the original fiddle players was stuck and unable to attend and perform due to the Volcano in Iceland, which made air travel from Europe almost impossible in some places.
The players of the ELO reunion were definitely professional and spot on, and there was even a guitar player from the band Styx which was cool, but a true reunion would have had Jeff Lynn who left the band in 1986 only to return in 2000 and he even came out with a new ELO album in 2001 which had former Beatle George Harrison on it prior to his passing in late '01, and his band mate Ringo Starr was also on it. So over all the concert was good and raocked, but it still paled in comparison to an ELO lineup with Jeff Lynn.
