The Nutcracker - Central Pennsylvania Youth Ballet Tickets

With excellent live music and outstanding dancers, this was the BEST performance I've seen! Amazing that this is available right here in the Mid-Atlantic! Highest quality! Don't miss it!

I beautiful performance with so many young and talented youth! This was my first time seeing a performance of the Nutcracker. Not only the performance but the addition of the Harrisburg Symphony just added to it. Do plan to see it next year! You will not be disappointed.

The show was great. Well worth seeing. These kids are amazingly talented. Level of skill displayed in any given show depends on the day you attend. Saturday shows tend to showcase the most skilled dancers. The talent at Sunday shows seems to be less. All in all though, these are kids and they are all amazing dancers. As part of our Christmas tradition, we have been attending the CPYB Nutcracker Ballet for over 10 years. We've enjoyed every show... they really put on a professional ballet. CON: strangely unusual # of audience members were rude, pushy, self-aggrandized (SNOOTY to the point that they'd push you out of the way or walk right in front of you in line as if they were entitled to a priority space in line and then look at you as if to say how dare you dane to occupy the same venue as I) and nasty. This Sunday's crowd was not the "norm" for the audiences at this ballet, so it was very, unusually noticeable.

The youth ballet was absolutely amazing! The first act with the little ones was so sweet and they did such a great job. The second act so impressive - the dancers - amazing!! Hershey Theatre was so not prepared. They need to get a better souvenier shop set up and ready for the families. There were not enough and they disappointed so many little ones. There was one food/drink bar that had a line wrap around the building at intermission and not everyone could be served. Very disappointing. In addition it took 20 minutes to move 1/4 mile just to park. They were not prepared for parking either. So frustrating. Would love to see the show again but not at this venue.

Dancing was superlative. Loved every minute of this experience. Not to be missed!!

We love this show and enjoy it with our granddaughters. This is our second year for this performance. Had to get a hotel room to beat the bad weather. It was all completely worth it!

Again what a wonderful experience. Emerson Dayton was absolutely beautiful and graceful and for 15 years old amazingly talented. What a dream come true for a teenage student to have the opportunity to dance a Pas de Deux with a Principal Dancer from NYCB. And what a handsome dancer. She will never forget that moment. The only disappointment for me was not to be able to enjoy the solos from the prince and princess. I'm wondering why they were cut out of the program.

The Central Pennsylvania Youth Ballet's performance of the Nutcracker was stunning! And to see it in the Hershey Theatre was worth every penny we spent on the tickets. The theatre was all decked out for Christmas, and was just spectacular. I would definitely recommend this event to anyone who wants to boost their Christmas spirit.

Such an incredible evening. The show is impeccable and both of my daughters were rapt with attention. A yearly tradition that we will not miss.

The orchestra, the dancers, the costumes and the prima ballerina - all extraordinary!

One of the best Nutcrackers I have seen. Was truly magical for the kids to watch. Wonderful performance and would recommend for all families during the Holidays.

We thoroughly enjoyed the show...scenery, talent, the orchestra...all were fabulous!! An added bonus for our little girls was photo ops in the lobby afterward, the ballerinas were so gracious. A great experience!!

This has been an annual tradition in our family for the past 13 years. The CPYB has very talented dancers, but some years are better than others. This year's ballet had several disappointing moments. To begin with, Hershey was ill-prepared for the security check at the door. We waited in line outside in the cold for 20 minutes. I understand the safety issue, but they could have had more staff available to make the line move more quickly. The ballet started late because of this. We were unsure if that is the reason why the dance with Sugar Plum Fairy and her cavalier was cut short. The 2 dancers this year were the best that we have seen in the roles in recent years, yet an entire dance segment was deleted from the performance. Other dance segments were also changed. For example, the lead Candy Cane did not perform the usual steps that produce an enthusiastic response from the audience.

I have seen many Nutcracker performances but this was one of the most professional performances outside of NYC. The costumes were beautiful and the sets were spectacular. Oh and the music was wonderful!

Very very well done performance by a Youth Ballet. Dancers were top notch, performance was memorable and the staff was courteous.
