If you’re a fan of the radio show you’ll enjoy this love performance even more! Great stories. Great atmosphere. Highly recommend
smooth awesome mc great stories free book and even waiting in line was fast
As I have experience with other Moth events, this was a wonderful experience with a great host and fantastic story tellers. I will definitely be going again!
I loved being back in person at the Wilbur for the Moth. The storytellers were wonderful and their stories were powerful, moving and cathartic. I loved the MC host who made us laugh throughout the night. Thank you!
This is the second time we have experienced The Moth at The Wilbur, and it was a great night. The venue did a good job at the big task of checking vaccination status and moving the crowd along. All 5 storytellers were awesome!
moderator spoke too much, seats were small, stairs to balcony were incredibly Long we left depressed
Was so looking forward to this night as I've been listening to the moth for about 15 years and it did not dissapoint! Was everything I hoped for and more! Amazing experience!
Variety of stories. Host was funny. Fun night out!
The Moth main stage was amazing. The storytellers were great, the stories were heartfelt, funny, and sad. It was a great experience!
The Moth never fails to dissapoint. In these stories, we see our humuanity. You'll laugh. You'll your breath. You may even hold back tears. It's always a great evening, where you are not only entertained, but most importantly leave as a more informed, better person.
Lots of laughs and also very moving personal stories.
Not what I expected after listening to The Moth for a long time. It was disappointing in a live setting.
The stories were powerful. The audience was amazingly warm and receptive. I loved the variety of stories and the sincerity of it all.
My boyfriend and i listen to the Moth on NPR every Sunday and have always enjoyed the stories. I was so excited to see they were coming to the State Theatre I immediately went online and bought two tickets. My boyfriend was thrilled. We had great seats to watch a FANTASTIC group of story tellers. Was a Great night!
Great show! Announcer was so entertaining . Stories really pulled me in. Met my expectations.
Hi. I recently had a bad experience at Robinson. I am writing you to give you the opportunity to make it right, not just for me but for everyone who came to see The Moth, Thursday Feb 28th. You see I purchased tickets thru Ticketmaster as per your venue and we decided we'd like Box Seats to be comfortable and able to relax and enjoy the Moth stories. When we arrived the doorman looked at our tickets and told us the new location of the event was in a small room upstairs. I asked him about seating and he said, "you have box seats, I'm sure they'll seat you up front." OK, still disappointing, but we can live with it...until after waiting in line to get in we find out...the show is NOW GENERAL SEATING?! WHAT?! We struggled to get seats close enough to see...THE FIRST TWO ROWS WERE RESERVED. WHAT? I understand there are situations that require a change in venue or different seating, but when I asked about being compensated, or refunded, I was told I could leave if I didn't want to see the show by your staff. Very rude, and not apologetic at all. We NEVER received notification via email or text regarding the General Seating change or any of the changes... None of the patrons I asked received a notification of the changes. I wanted to give your managers a chance to make this right. It felt like a Bait and Switch and your lack of empathy for your patrons left me with zero good feelings toward Robinson.
The evening was glorious! I loved the diversity of the storytellers and the audience. The musician, Charlotte Crosmer, was amazing! Ophira Eisenberg, set the mood and then kept the evening moving. All five storytellers gifted us with their stories in their own styles. I will remember each of their stories.
Stories this night were great! However there were only 10 story tellers, who had 5 minutes each, and yet the event lasted almost 3 hours... so there was way too much other stuff going on and it should have been tightened up. Had not expected the show to go until 10:30pm
As a longtime Moth Radio Hour listener on KUOW, I had a fun time at the show, but I doubt I would go again. The reading and commentary of the audience participation question ("When was the last time you jumped to a conclusion...") made it funnier and added an element to the live show. That said, since the best stories for airplay on the radio show are cherrypicked/Grand-Slam winners, in person, you hear all the ones that didn't make it. As a first time Moore Theatre go-er, here's my review of the venue itself: the seats were relatively comfortable (but tall people need to be on the aisle!): viewing on the main level towards the back was good (even for a short person); it's a lovely, historical theatre with EXTREME lack of bathrooms!!!!! RUN at the start of intermission or you may be on the line the entire break and still may miss the start of the show.
